Quite a few surprises if you ask me, like for example, Kid Icarus Uprising and Mario Party 9. The first because it is a revival of a very old franchise and pretty much everyone complained about the controls. The second because it is a Wii game and it did not receive a lot of hype.

 

About KH3D, it seems a bit low compared to previous handheld titles.

EDIT: Just for the record, KH3D was the 3rd best selling title on August and considering it released the last day, I assume it sold better stateside.

Woot go Pokémon~

The amount of Mario titles on there is disappointing. That series needs to stop churning out new titles every two months, I'm so sick of the franchise now (and I used to LIKE it...).

 

KH is a bit too far down the list for my liking... but hey, at least it's still up in the top 30. Below about six mario games.

 

Happy that Pokémon is still doing amazingly, as is Animal Crossing. They just need to give the Western regions a release date for AC:NL already...

About Mario, yeah. It is still fun, but it is somewhat tiresome after so many titles.

I thought KH3D would do better than that, but good for KH3D anyway.

Well, KH3D only got released during the last half of the year stateside. If it had gotten released in say, April or May, it probably would have been a lot higher.

This list (the long one) is for Japan. The game released on March, so the numbers are somewhat low. The second list is for North America only.
