When Kingdom Hearts was first conceptualized, the main protagonist of the game was going to be Mickey.

Early in production, the keyblade was very different... different to the point that it was neither key nor blade, and rather, a chainsaw.

 

This means that at one point in time, the games concept was "Disney and Final Fantasy team up and create a game where you play as Mickey Mouse wielding a Chainsaw".

 

If alternate universes exist; this happened in at least one of them...

Yeah, I remember hearing this. I think it was either Square or Disney that wanted Mickey to be the main character, and the other company wanted Donald. But Nomura wanted neither.

Its not the Mickey as protagonist thing or chainsaw thing Im telling you about, we all know tgat part. Its the combined form of the two that is... intriguing to say the least.

Yes, Donald with a chainsaw would be a very different Kh. Donald = terrifying. Mickey = badass. But if your theory about Runaway Brain Mickey being in Kh or whatever is right  that would be beyond terrifying.

The only "evidence" of using a chainsaw was an early concept of Sora right? It would have been cool to see Mickey wielding it. Too bad they didn't work with him, just the idea. Nomura quickly gave the veredict "Human protagonist. Not Mickey. Not Donald"

Sorry, I thought the date for having to have spoiler warnings have long since passed. Unless you just care for others and as such apply stricter rules to yourself, which is admirable. I don't think what I said would give away too much, considering I got it mostly wrong and you used spoiler tags to respond anyways. So no harm, no foul.

Lmao, you're the first person to comment on my weird one word edits. I had put "dates" originally and then realized it would only have one date to pass so that you could post without spoiler warnings, which made me think about Zack asking Aqua on a date so yeah. That's one of my quirks. Much like how you don't always quote me but are starting to change that, in the future I might just make edit's without feeling the need to inform people or leave behind one word only that I alone would understand the meaning behind.

A chainsaw would be terrifying...it would've made KH a blood bath. @_@

Depends how it would have played out but it had the potential to either be very bad ass or extremely terrifying. Or an awesome balance of both, lol.

I knew that.

 

Well... Disney and Square were always fighting to decided who was goign to be the hero. Disney wanted Donald and Square wanted Mickey...so they decided to create an lion Sora but that idea was cancelled so they made Sora with similair clothes to Mickey.

For some reason I can actually see Mickey with a chainsaw.
