~Deus ex Machina, the God of Time and Space; and Murmur, Deus' servant, has a little ‘game’ for 12 very lucky contestants.~

-Plot-

 

You will be handed a cell phone with texting data only for 90 days. This game Deus has put together last 90 days only…. three months. The rules of this ‘game’ are simple: The contestants must find and kill each other before the 90 days are up. If you fail and do not kill off all, then Deus will simply banish you from existence. Here is the really weird part. You will be able to have an afterlife. One afterlife only. It will be short and you will be MORE VULNERABLE. There are three places Deus has specially assigned. DANGER END, HAPPY END, and DEAD END. Your little phone is special. It names certain events that are happening to you in the future. So will you gain the title of God and Space, Deus’ reward for the game, or will you fall? This is your future; if you take the wrong path then you're dead.

 

 

This is based off
the anime Mirai Nikki (Future Diary).

Rules-

~PG-13 please; however  if you want to get gory that is fine.

~At least three sentences please.

~ No killing other characters (unless the user says that’s fine) and using others’ characters

~ Please try to follow along, unless you just can’t. If you can’t then PM someone in the RP.

~Please only make one character, however I need to put a character sheet for Deus and Murmur.

~Please don’t abandon this unless you’re like REALLY REALLY busy, having family problems, or
will be gone on vacation or something.

~We don’t have super powers or are invisible, be fair guys and get your butt kicked sometimes.
No Godmodding. Just don’t go out and start murdering people unless you are on
like another mission from Deus.

Taken Spots:

1- Ryo Yamaka—Random Diary— It gives the ability to read the Future of her surroundings be it present or past. This makes the diary balanced but it won't tell her anything about herself which leaves her open to certain attacks. Also the future on her diary is based on her viewpoint, that means on what she believes is true. It reflects her personality. 2- Akane Shimade—Escape Diary—It’s entries reveal any escape Route available to her, if any (where to go, how long to remain hidden, etc.). This means it won't tell her anything to attack her opponents. It reflects her nature as a survivalist since a young age.

4-Lio Gras Verances—Justice Diary—It allows him to listen to His own righteous deeds that he will do in the future and it seemingly allows him to hypnotize people. It reflects him as the justice vigilante he claims to be.

6- Jinno Akira—Murder Diary—It gives him entries on who his Next victims are going to be, and where they are. However it does not tell him what his victims will do, therefore he can't know which kind of attack will be used against him. It reflects him as a psychotic serial killer.

9- Kurai Kasaragi—Foresight Diary—can predict actions done by herself in the Morning, Evening and Night, all at the same time, and give her certain advantage at placing traps.

11-Azusa—Friendship Diary— A pair of diaries that tell the Future about each other, which allows them great teamwork as they can protect each other, the diaries are weakest when separated. It reflects the friendship between the two.

12-Tsubaki—Friendship Diary—A pair of diaries that tell the Future about each other, which allows them great teamwork as they can protect each other, the diaries are weakest when separated. It reflects the friendship between the two.

 

 

~WELCOME TO THE GAME ~

How did I get into this? I never expected for me to get in this kind of situation. I held onto the white and black cheap cell phone tightly. It seems as if I was in a trance of shock. When ever did I get associated with Deus: God of Time and Space? This was insane…I am now forced into a Survival Game?

“This is called the Foresight Diary. It gives you the ability to know what is going to happen in the future at three points of the day: Once you wake up, In the afternoon and at night. This gives you the advantage to set traps. If you would like to win this game then you will need to set traps well.” Deus’ words echoed in my head.

 

Murmur would be ‘helping’ me through the first day.

“Hey! Ninth! Ninth! Do ya wanna win this game?! If ya want to, then you gotta go out there and kill some of the other holders!” Murmur said.
“I don’t want to kill people! When did Deus get the idea of choosing me?” I snapped. 

“Well…you want that thing to go to use, right? Maybe if you get too school it will go to use!” Murmur yelled, pointing at the crappy cell phone in my hand.

I was already two hours late to school…it was 9:37 am. Quickly, I got changed into the school uniform. The uniform for the girls’ blue shirt that had some white in it and a red bow on the collar. There was a little bit of a darker skirt that was rather short. Along with this, white socks and brown shoes that were school shoes. (Example: http://moe.animecharactersdatabase.com/uploads/chars/4758-90645612.jpg) The boys’ had a white polo with a blue jacket and a red tie and dark blue formal dress pants along with brown school shoes rather different from the girls.

Walking to school, I pulled out the phone Deus gave me.
 

[9:51 am; Tokoshaka High: Got a tardy slip and headed upstairs to class. The teacher yelled at me and the entire class started laughing. The Teacher then yelled at the class and gave us History Vocabulary

words to copy down from our books. I didn’t pay attention and got only five words copied down.]

I read, frightened. Soon enough, I wound up at school at 9:51 am. I got a tardy slip and headed upstairs to class…I couldn't change the outcome of that. As I opened the door, I was struck by a loud, scolding voice.
“KURAI KASARAGI! LATE!!” he yelled. 

I clumsily walked to my desk sitting down, the entire class laughing. Then there it was, we were assigned the words for history.

I wasted my time, not really having the confidence to do my work. I only got five vocabulary words copied down. Deus’ Diary was correct. I soon enough started rotating classes…Lunch was next and I usually ate outside alone.

Ryo stared into space silently. Her light blue phone with a panda charm on it sat in her hand. This is all just a dream, she thought, i have to avoid getting killed by 11 other people with this...future diary? I remember this god of space, Desu, saying that i had the random diary, able to tell what happens around me. Ryo scratched her head in frustration. Ugh this all this is all just weird! Ryo looked at her phone and flipped it open. [9:51 am; history teacher yells at a student, Kurai, and class bursts out in laughter.] Ryo looked up and saw Kurai walk in and the teacher starting to throw a fit. And like on cue, everyone started laughing but Ryo. She grimaced. How embarrassing, she thought and something else appeared on her phone. [9:53 am; the class starts coying down vocabulary from the history book] Ryo closed her phone and pulled out her book as soon as the teacher started ordering everyone to stat copying the vocabulary. This diary might actually come in handy, she thought, but how am i suppose to figure out who else has a future diary?

Akane stared at her red and orange slide phone and it had a small sticker of a star that looked like it was going to peel off soon. She was still in a daze about this whole survival game she was suddenly thrown into. The escape diary eh, she thought with a grin and slid open the phone. There was a message sitting on there. [9:54 am; Escape route 1: exit the classroom door on the far side of the classroom. Escape route 2: go out the window on your right.] Akane looked at the window next to her. If she were to jump out, it wouldnt be that bad of a fall but right now she didnt need it. Akane closed her phone and looked around. I guess i have to keep my guard up then, she thought, anyone in here could have a future diary

Murmur popped up with her little teleportation power in front of me.
"Ninth! I must warn you!" Murmur smiled.
I swallowed the food that was in my mouth and looked at Murmur, not really afraid of her popping out from the middle of nowwhere.
"You are now placed at Danger End. Everyone is placed at Danger End at the beginning. If you die, you are dead end. If you are close to winning...happy end! Oh! And you are not the only one who knows your actions~" Without another word, Murmur left.
I sighed, finishing to eat, I grabbed my carmel-filled chocolates I stole from home, popping one in my mouth, My eyes lit up. I loved sweets.
I threw my trash away, keeping the bag of sweets in my bag. I took my phone out again.

[10:13 am; Courtyard: Finished eating lunch. I gave Rin a chocolate and he ended up getting in trouble for it. I ended up getting 7 minutes and 33 seconds done on running in the gym. Science homework.]

Kurai read with a sigh.
'I wonder if I could change this... she thought.

"Ngggguuuhhh---huuuhhh...." That was was Jinno's heavy mechanical breathing he had to go through constantly. Even throughout his speech, and when he's doing nothing, the breathing can be heard. It struck an essence of pain and misery, but for those who knew Jinno it could also mean fear and nervousness for them. "Nggguuuhhhh-Huuuhh..." It was usually a loud inhale and a gradually softer exhale. "Who...am...I...?" Jinno's voice echoed with hesitation and a feeling of pain just to speak. His memory loss affected even his own name. Deus was the one named he could remember for now. Luckily his diary was one he could re-check. He flipped the phone and examined it carefully. It was barely around Ten o' clock right now, but it told me what I'd do later on.

[11:02 A.M; Tokashaka High School; Pursuing Akane Shimade, kills other passerbys.}

"Nnnnngggguuuhhh---huuuhhh....Tokoshaka High...nguuhh---huhh....where was...that again...?" Jinno asked himself with the heavy breathing throughout his speech again. It was more constant, even if he was just walking. Jinno stood up and walked towards the opposite direction of Tokoshaka High, not knowing where to go. He'd find it in an hour though. "Ngguuuh....maybe...I'll....actually get...this 'Akane'...huuhhhh....where to go...? Nguuuhh...." He walked with the metal of his legs clanking along the way. Dressed in his black kimono and theatrical mask, he set off with his katanas sheathed within his scabbards.

Ryo couldnt take her eyes off her phone. She was leaning against her locker while pushing away at the buttons. [10:16 am; a few girls nearby starts gossiping] Ryo looked up from her phone and saw a group of girls, probably 4 of them, yapping away. amazing, she thought and closed the phone. But it's weird, the phone doesnt tell me what's going to happen to myself. I'll probably figure it out soon enough. Ryo picked up her bag, slipped the phone inside it and walked to her next class. 

 

~Akane Shimade~

Later that day Akane was sitting outside in the courtyard. She was leaning again a tree with her eyes closed. A small vibration came from her pocket and she opened her eyes. A new message already, she thought and pulled her phone from her pocket and slid it open. all it said was -Danger End- . Danger end, Akane muttered to herself and looked around. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary around her. Wait, why am i worrying, she thought, if i had to make a run for it, my diary would tell me. Akane sighed and placed her phone back into her pocket

Jinno flipped his phone as he passed by a large building. [10:58 A.M.] "This is...Tokosaka High..." Jinno mumbled with his usual loud breathing. It echoed throughout the mask and around Jinno. Jinno dashed across and ran up the first classroom in sight. Jinno stabbed downwards, killing the girl behind Akane. The echoing of Jinno's breathing machine traveled through the class from above, and Jinno merely stomped down with a steel foot to bring down a piece of the fragile roof. "Who...am...I...?" Jinno asked in a threatening but oblivious tone.

[11:01 a.m.; Class 4b: A piece of the roof fell on my head after I sat down for my third class. I heard a couple of students scream upstairs. People in the class freak out and a couple leave the room. I move to the back of the room as the teacher calls the police. I stay in the room, wondering out, grabbing my single dagger for a weapon just in case. Students run down the hall and Mayu runs by me without a word Rin---]

The diary seemed to glitch up and I quickly stood up, people were already leaving the class. I ran to the back of the room, staring at my phone.

[11:03- Class 7b- Rin Akasha is dead.]
The message that appeared just before my eyes scarred me and I stared at the cell phone tears running down my face.

[11:12 am; Class 4b: An unknown figure enters the class room. Ninth arranged the desk in a maze to confuse the man. She grabs scissors from the desk but the man outsmarts her, stabbing her.

-DEAD END-]

What?! No! Dead End!
"Awwee...Ninth reaches dead end..." Murmur complained from the back of my mind.
I shut the phone, grabbing the scissors anyway, everyone was out of the class.
Immediately, I sprint off into the halls, tears running down my face because of Rin's death.

[DEAD END AVOIDED]
The new message on my phone appeared.

Jinno did a slight somersault and slammed his steel foot to the bloody 'Rin', moving her out of his way. Jinno's attention centered at First for now. "Nnnguuhh...huhhh...." He breathed heavily as he watched Ninth run away in tears. (It'll be best to not start chasing mindlessly...) he thought and looked back to First. Unsheathing both katanas now, he breathed and dashed quicker than an average human. As he ran his breathing was more like a slow and echoic panting.

Why was I invoked with this game? I wondered looking at my black, white and blue checkerboard phone. [11:00 ] Another message appeared, [11:02- Tsubaki will join you] Two minutes past as I walked to the cafeteria and Tsubaki appears behind me. "Heyo~ Azusa!"

"Tsubaki..." [11:13- I entered a room seeing a man stabbing this girl...] Both of our phones said... I looked at the time [11:10] Lunch ended already...it was time to go to my next class that I had with Tsubaki.

As Ryo was walking her phone vibrated. She flicked it open and read the message. [11:18; a man with two katanas is running through the halls] Ryo looked up and behind her. there was a guy in the distance with two weapons in hand. Her mind was racing now. Did a future diary holder find me, she thought, i cant die now, the game just started! Ryo looked around quickly and found a janitor closet a few feet away. She ran in there and locked the door. Great, it's been a while since i've had to use this, she thought pulling out her dagger

 

~Akane Shimade~

Akane's phone ringed abruptly and she slid it open. The message said [Dead End Avoided] and her eyes widened. What, i was almost killed, she thought, b-but what happened. She got up and looked behind her. There lied a dead body behind her, it looked like a girl. She backed up a little and looked around. "When did this happen.." she said to herself and backed away. Akane quckly grabbed her bag and ran inside.

He sat in his room at the desk head resting on his arms listing to the voice recorder that was set up infront of him. Listening to the many recordings. Thinking about what he had heard about the survival game. He then smiled "all of the others may be people like me, but that doesnt mean they are innocent!" He then turned his attention to the staff leaned up against the wall.

[11:43 am; 822 Yohmine Street: Arrived home and saw 2nd at school. 4th was gone again. Murmur explained how Deus made sure nobody who doesn't have a Future Dairy would have there memories erased of the incident.]

I read this and Murmur reviled herself.
"Kurai-chan!" Murmur yelled as she began explaining.
"Dont you think thats not fair?" I asked her.
"Deus' orders!" she sung before running off.
Who were 4th and 2nd?!

After waiting a good 20 minutes, Ryo opened the door slightly. Nobody was there. She slowly pulled her bag off the ground and walked out of the closet. Gone, she thought, well might as well head home, school was over a few minutes ago. With that Ryo her way to the exit. When she was finally outside, Ryo flipped open her phone and looked at the recent messages. They were nothing really important at the moment but at least there was no 'Danger End' warning. "Phew..." She signed in relief. "Well there's still the other future diary holders i need to worry about. i need to be more alert.."

Some time late, Akane left school was heading home. She was still shaken up from that whole incident earlier. The dead body was already removed but people are still talking about it. Akane has been checking her phone a lot for the past hour and the 'Danger End' message hasnt appeared. So im good for now, she thought, good....As Akane was walking home, she saw a girl about to enter into her home. There was a chibi looking girl with her too. "What the.." she muttered but just kept walking. Probably a trick of the light

Lio decided to stop listening and he put on his trench coat. He strapped the staff to hiis back and put on his hat. He then looked at the voice recorder and decided to take it. He then left the dojo, heading out to walk into town, he took out the recorder and kept listening to it as he walked

Me and Tsubaki started leaving school it was one boring day... [Time: 11:54] We talked about random stuff.

Lio walked by the school. He clearly looked odd just for walking with a staff on his back. He had walked past Azusa and Tsubaki as he did. His hat gleamed at the rim when sunilght hit it at an angle

I sat down on my bed after doing my homework, staring at the phone. There was nothing new. I simply stared through the diary entries from eairlier today.

Rin was my best friend and now, she is gone. She's not coming back. At this time, I was unaware that I had tears streaming down my face.

 

[12:15 pm; Bedroom: I'm crying again. Stupid me. Murmur came at sat on my bed after I layed down on my side. She asked me why I was upset because Rin was dead. I answered her truthfully. She said I am not going to survive this game if I am going to get upset over everything.]

 

The diary finally updated itself. I layed on my side for two reasons. One: I was tierd anyway. Two: I have a feeling I need to obey the diary.

"Paa! Kurai-san! What is wrong Ninth? Are you seriously that upset because of Rin?" Murmur asked.

I gave a slight nod.

"Rin was the only one of my 'friends' who came to my grandfathers funeral. She is–was my best friends." I explained, closing my cell phone.

"I wish you luck Ninth. Your attitude isnt helping your chances." Murmur explained before running off.
