Now That The PS4 Has Been Announced, What About KH3?

Posted

Since Kingdom Hearts III won't finish development until around 2016, do you think it will be on PS4 instead?

  • Nomura said he's trying to bring all of the games to one console so I think it'll be ps3

  • Kingdom Hearts III on the PlayStation 3 would be a massive mistake in my opinion.   Kingdom Hearts III won't begin development until 2014 at the earliest after the PlayStation 4 is released worldwid

  • Because KH3, a game that will take approximately 3 to 5 years to complete once they actually get started can get crammed onto the PS3 when it doesn't even have a year left.

luckily for you the 3ds has a ridiculous lineup of games. and this year has a ton more coming

I know... That's another problem. No money to get any other games xD

PS4 will become current generation, but then again, it might be for both the PS4 (made by the Tokyo team) and the PS3 (made by the Osaka team).

Nomura confirmed that he's not making it for the PS4.

Where did he confirm it?

maybe itll be like pokemon bLACK WHITE 2?

He explained in an interview that if it were to be on next-gen consoles, that KH 3 would be MUCH further into the future than it already is now, because the game would basically be entirely CGI. That's an utterly insane wait that would probably ruin the series. 15 years+. It would beat the Duke Nukem Forever record, and that's sad. :/

can you provide a link to this interview. I don't remember it. I'm not saying you're making it up or anything, I would just love to read it!!

Same here!!! I still need to get like 6 and there are at least 6 or 7 more this year I want to get... Send me a message with your 3DS friend code btw, mine is in my signature.

Considering Nomura wants to bring all the current games to the same console (ReMixes) it wouldn't make sense to put the final one of this saga on the PS4.  If anything it'll be on both.

Ok I see. Which interview was it exactly?

Yeah I agree with the thinking that the HD remixes are released on the same console, so I guess it would be pretty dumb not to bring KH3 to the PS3.
