Hey there! These are the signups for my newest RP concept; The Experiment. It's a new world and concept unrelated to any game or show, if you read the brief below you'll learn more about the concept, and if you're at all interested, hopefully you'll sign up as well!

 

"In the modern day, everything seems as it should be. It is not. Every day the world refuses to agknowledge the prescence of those stronger than them. Smarter than them. Better than them. You see, what we think of as humanity is not entirely human. A very small percentage of them are more. They have abilities beyond normal capacity or even understanding. Flight, telepathy, elemantal control... you name it. Why do they have these abilities? No-one knows. Well, no-one except me. You may call me Xi. I know about these abilities, and I know who has them. Why do I know these things? I won't tell now, all in due time.

 

It is what I have done with this information that is worth telling you. I have kidnapped several of these "special" people. They've all been put on a small island- what was once a military base. It's made up of beaches and runways, bunkers and palm trees. There's more to this island than meets the eye, and that is why I've put these people here. They have been selected. Selected for The Experiment. They cannot leave until it is finished. Until I have what I seek from them. There is a secret to these people that even they do not know themselves; a secret more amazing than even their powers. So what is this secret? What is that I seek? It is time to find out. Through their interactions, through their compassion and their fury they shall play my game, and it is a game of which I shall be the only winner.

If that brief at all intrigues you, please read the rules and create a character, the more the better!

 

Rules

• The major rule is this; please enjoy yourself. Stick around as much as you can- the more that everyone posts the more the story can advance, so have a good time and don't be afraid to have your character make some strange or interesting decisions, it will only make the RP more interesting.
• Interact with other people. Please don't spend all your time having your character reflect on their troubled past or such. This RP is about the characters and their relationships and interactions, and it will work much better if you take an interest in the story being told by everyone, not just yourself.
• Your character's power cannot cause an unfair advantage over other players. Time-stopping is an exmaple of a power that could out-match just about any other one. Create your power, but make it limited, that will make it all the more interesting when powers are used against each other and fights are even.
• Go with the flow. People will make their own choices and the story will encounter a few twists and turns. It's more interesting when characters have to deal with thos twists naturally.
• General RP Rules of course apply.

Nah, we just have similar mindsets of overpowered villains that can only be slain by our own hands.

I've been a bit busy, but could someone give me a catch-up of what's been happening in the fight against Sikota, exactly?

Goodness graciousness. Isaac needed to fight PR...maybe Joshua too.

 

Emotion is more than an interference. It's a drive. For Joshua, it was an interference with violence because he was so sympathetic. For Isaac, it was a drive because of his insanity and obsession with desire. See what I mean?

I tore apart Neisan's suit, threw him to his epic old one, his overpowered laser missed, I tried to shoot him with epic feathers, Ember dissolved them, Lupus jabbed me with ineffective scorpion poison, then Sikota dodged an anvil that wouldn't have hurt his head anyway, he then threw Lupus into the air, Neisan shot these plasma thingies, Ren show's up and said emotional things, I blew everyone away, now it's Ren in me.

Sorta... and Isaac was the sole reason I created Crow and all the Replicas before the PR. If it weren't for the mad scientist, PR would just be Replica.

Ah, yes, I forgot about Crow being made for Isaac. I feel special. So Isaac indirectly screwed you guys over. 1/3rd of that screw-over at least. There's Robin and Humm out there before too

Well, actually, Ren doesn't realize Sikota's a replica yet.  Once he does, though, I'm not sure what's going to happen. . .   He's seriously not bright, so he might just moan over it, haha!  Good suggestion though, Schemer; I'll bear it in mind and possibly use it.

Yup!  I can see this ending very similarly.  Kijiya's death was truly tragic, and I hadn't quite expected to feel so sympathetic towards him in the end.

Yeah, you'll all be relieved of your tail feathers once he shows up. No sympathy for PR.

Such a pitiful blade provides no hope against an enemy of his caliber. You'd fare best with retreat.

You broke Locke's sword?!?!  How dare you!

 

Oh hey!  I've got a neat twist on how Ren could acquire his wing-bladed sword.  Since the real Sikota is actually dead (he *is* dead. . . right?), what if this sword materializes for Ren from Sikota, so to speak.  And that's how Ren suddenly realizes this guy's a fake.  Yay or nay?  What do you think, Sikota?  I'm thinking the wing might sort of symbolize Sikota, in a sense.

I'm not sure I completely understand the idea.

Sorry, perhaps I should've clarified more:  Ren was going to receive a sword with a wing-esque blade.  At first I was going to make it be materialized through a hidden final strength of his, where he gets his bite and decides to fight, but then I got to thinking. . .   What if the real Sikota somehow was able to bestow this sword to him?  In this way, Ren could realize that the Sikota he faces is actually a PR, since he realizes this weapon is from his true friend, and with that, Ren can feel free to fight PR Sikota.  What are your thoughts?

Sure thing.  It was just a sudden thought that hit me, though you don't have to do this if you don't want to.  I'd gladly have the sword form a different way, if you'd prefer it.
