So it begins.

 

I have gathered them here. They know nothing yet. That will change soon. I wonder how they will take to each other. Time will tell. Regardless, no more time can be wasted. The Experiment must now begin. Time to wake them up...

 

"Good morning. Welcome to the next part of your life."

 

The voice rang out in all of their ears. Earpieces, firmly attached in the ears of all of them. Inside came the unnerving and unnaturally changed voice on the other end. One by one, after hearing the voice, each of the subjects began to wake. Lying on the shore of a short beach was Yumi Yuki Ai, Ember Mors, Luce Angelo, Hazimie Azhar, and Rasiel Kasaragi. The wind blew over them as they lay sprawled over the sand in close proximity to each other. Just as they had been placed. Next to the beach was a mix of jungle and swamp that went deeper into the mainland. Besides that the beach was mostly barren. A wrecked fishing boat was rusted and decaying within walking distance, but nothing more. The waves lapped up on the shore softly...

 

Miles away lay an abandoned collection of bunkers and buildings. They surrounded an airstrip. Rusted machine parts lay strewn about, and any sign of activity at the airstrip had long since faded. On the ground in the middle of the airstrip lay several more people. Ren Cabret, Neisan, Kilek North, Tsuna Sasaki, and Sikota Urinakano. Two desolate bunkers flanked the airstrip they were on, with a control tower at the end of the strip. Forest flanked the airstrip on all sides, with a single winding road leading out. The wind cut through the trees and sliced past the bunkers onto the airstrip. Only the wind and the trees provided any sound to the desolate military installation...

 

Deep in the jungle was a pair of rusted jeeps parked next to a crumbling house. The jeeps were long past functioning, and their engines were removed recently as well. The house sat surrounded by the trees with a single road leading somewhere further into the jungle. Inside the house were the four other subjects; Robert Evans, Karu Kasaragi, Fulmen Aizen, Xander Steel, and Locke Stern. Part of the roof of the house had caved in, and most of the belongings and furniture were gone. Remaining in the house were a few pots and pans, and single picture in an imaculate frame on a table in the room where the four people were laying. Silence pervaded the house...

 

On this island the Experiment is to be conducted. The island itself is only a few miles across, but its jungles, beaches, and bunkers hold long-kept secrets. These people now find themselves as part of a deadly game. They will have to get to know each other, and work together to discover what is sought from them, and in the process they must learn what they seek themselves.

 

The voice buzzed through their earpeices once more.

 

"Time to wake up. The Experiment has begun. You won't want to be asleep for this... Wake up and meet your new friends... and enemies. Wake up...

 

...the game has begun."

(Sorry if i'm being left out  and late to post since my left hand was injured...)

 

Hazimie then begin to rest at the plains and he heard that one of the survivors died."They died.....one by one....when it will end to this suffering?...."Hazimie said as he closed his eyes and sitting next to the tree,waiting for a new hope to appear...

Sylar relaxed on his steel seat as we watched Karu and Rasiel's test. The gun went off. "Ooh. That must've hurt." he said sarcastically. "Tis a shame that Karu had to die. Killing him would've been much easier than Rasiel, ey Xi?" Sylar continued, a passive expression on his face. He heard Xi speak over the intercom to Rasiel. He had a touch of sympathy in his voice, something not to be expected from a crazy man who had stranded a bunch of people on a mystical island. "Did someone lose a sibling themselves? Come on man, step it up. I killed my own mother you know. Granted it was in self-defense, she was trying to stab me with a pair of quilting scissors. I wallowed for a bit, then got over it and killed somebody else. Just try it mate. Click one of your buttons there and make someone burst into flames. It'll make you feel better." Sylar taunted.  

 

(I feel like I just messed with the wrong person.)

Yumi slipped from hers knee's to her bum.  "Wow..that was...ah,reminds me of my first day of high school." She whispered.

She got up."I think I know who died..Kuru. I'm kind of scared now.." She shook her head and peered ahead into the darkness. 

"I know it's hard but..I'm..going ahead." She said getting up.

This was a bad post, now it isn't

"SHUT UP!!" Humm appeared before Sylar. "The only one left to die is a big old jerk like you!" His small body threw a powerful punch.

(You know Sylar is miles below the ground watching the bunker from LCD screens next to Xi's HQ, right?)

(Whelp...I've returned...and I got to miss all the interesting stuff. ;~; )

 

Fulmen froze.

Karu? Karu is dead? He thought, bewildered, as he looked around. His heart was pounding even more quickly now, completely caught off-guard by the gun-shot...and the following events. He turned to Yumi, who seemed even worse for wear than he was.

I want to console her...but..sadly I'm as scared as she is. It never occurred to me that we could actually die here...oh God.. Fulmen thought, shaking as he sat on the ground.

Xi turned to Sylar.

 

"Hmp. Your sociopathic tendencies are curiously interesting. The girl needs reinforcement if she is to continue the experiment. You will get your chance for more killing soon, anyway, worry not.

 

Xi turned back without saying a word.

 

"Do not underestimate the capabilities of emotion, my friend. Or would you be so open to being the recipient of this girl's wrath now? Don't presume to know my intentions either, even for such a powerful person, there is so much you do not know."

Rasiel as silent, for a while actually.

"We need to go to our next challenge." she said quietly.

 

(HOLY CHIZ THAT WAS SHORT BUT ALL I CAN THINK OF.)

After Rasiel spoke, Xander wiped his eyes

 

He stood to his feet and bent over so his head was at her level, he held a hand out to her

 

"If that's what you want.." He said quietly

 

He looked at Karu

 

[Xi.. what have you done....??]

Rasiel gave a nod, staring at her brother once more. It was his death and the information about her other siblings that has...well still is making her upset.

"Thank you Xandre..." she said grabbing his hand and standing up.

"I'll scout ahead." Humm said. With a quick vibrating hum, he rose above to ground and took off through the door, making sure that there weren't any sudden dangers waiting for Rasiel and everyone else. He skimmed the area around him, he saw...

"It looks empty." Yumi told Fulmen.

"Let's get going." She told him.

She pulled him up. "Come on,I'll enter the room." She said.

Joshua's sympathy took over him as always. Tears ran down silently through Joshua's face. Whether he knew him a great deal ir not, he felt the pain Xander and Rasiel seemed to feel. But they knew Karu so well, and as for Joshua...the sorrow felt even emptier. Saddened by something he couldn't feel like the others. It was miserable in a mental manner. He slunped to his knees in front of Karu, enitting his healing light to Karu. His blood returned to him, and his wounds closed, but his heart had stopped beating already. "Karu...don't die...." he whispered to himself. Once his tears caused him to actually cry in misery, Joshua hid himself in his own shadow. He was crying from an empty feeling, rather than the loss of someone he knew dear. Just...empty. A void emotion of sadness. He had no reason for this, but it happened. What would others think of that kind of feeling stopping Joshua? So, he just chose to.hide in his shadow. Where no one would hear him. No one would see him. No one would feel him. But he could cry in complete quietude-- alone and empty in more than one way.

Ember sprang into action. She wasn't going to wait for Isaac to slit Luce's throat. Ember jumped forward, and made her legs into a single point, that would hurt a lot upon impact. At this point, she was quite close to Isaac. She created a solid wedge, point right next to Isaac's back. Her feet reached the other end of the wedge, driving the point into the evil doctor's back. The momentum from her translated into the sharp point would easily break the skin and tissue below, possibly cut straight through the spine, thus severing the spinal cord and making the nervous system inept. Having done that, Ember flipped backwards, landing on her feet.

Sylar rolled his eyes. "Come on Xi, you know that I'm not a true sociopath. I'm no more a sociopath than your average politician. Looking for more power, and not afraid to kill for it.Actually, there's a chance that I could take people's powers without having to kill them. But killing is just too mich fun to miss out." he said in reply to Xi.

"Right." Fulmen murmured, shaking off the shock he felt only moments prior.

Do I head in with her? What if we too face the same test Rasiel and Karu did? Fulmen thought, sighing. Death wasn't something he was about to face, and he didn't like the thought of Yumi dying either. Fulmen didn't want anyone else to die, as a matter of fact.

Fulmen sighed at that, looking to Yumi, "I'll be right behind you. If anything happens, say something."

"Hm" He replied as she stood up.

 

He didn't know what to say, how to comfort her

He was an only child, and loved by his parents

He had never lost anyone close to him, even all four of his grandparents were still alive and healthy.

 

One might say Xander's life had been ideal, up to this point

 

He didn't really know how to deal with pain he felt himself, much less how to help Rasiel with hers

 

Not knowing what to do, he just held onto her hand

 

[is that why I was picked, Xi?? Did you choose me to show me a world outside of my paradise?? A world of pain, death and trial..] He thought as he glanced over at Joshua, enveloped in his shadows, hiding his pain

 

He looked back to Rasiel.

"Come on everyone...nobody can stay here alone..." Rasiel said, looking over to a shadow....that was obviously Joshua.

'I was such an easy target for you Xi. The girl with no father whom is addicted to weird dating-sim games, an is overly attached to her now dead brother. The naïve girl with over attachment issues.'she thought, clenching her fist.

"Xi...you will be killed..." She whispered to herself, most likely nobody could hear her.

Jade nodded."I'm glad." She whispered. 

She stepped inside the room, it being dark. She stepped a little more in trying to make things out in the darkness. "It was a trap." She said, with nothing more than the dankness f the room to guide her to the truth.

Xander thought he heard Rasiel whisper something to herself, but he couldn't make it out too well

 

[something about Xi??] He wondered

 

"Ok, Ras.Let's head to the next test"

 

He tried to make his voice sound positive

 

 

 

(Ha Ha, weird, dating-sim games)

As Robert gazed at the groupe before him, he realized that Hazimie and Locke were missing. [Great, Hazimie's gone all lone wolf.] he said sarcasticly. [if anyone els is gonna die soon, it'll probably be him.] As for Locke, there was no telling where he went. 

 

It was then that he noticed Humm walk into the next door, followed by Yumi. [They might need some help.] he thought, and walked into the dark room as well.

 

(Sorry if that was too controlling of me MDSVeritas, but Daniel Black hasn't posted for a long time, and this way his lack of posting won't hold anyone else back, and he can always come back if he wants to. If you want, however, I can delete that part of my post.)

(Keima Kisaragi from The World God Only Knows was my prime influence under Rasiel except for the childish part of her...)

 

"Don't call me that. That is clearly not my proper name. You are the only outsider whom has called me "Ras" it sounds weird, just don't call me that." Rasiel snapped (Rasiel's attitude...especially after her brother isn't there to boss her around...)

Without another word, she began walking forward.

Luce struggled out of the way of Isaac's slice and countered with his own upon his assailant's arm. Damn, Luce thought, at this rate the battle will last forever!

Rasiel's reply to Xander left him outwardly unfazed

Inwardly it was a little painful, but he sort of expected her attitude to be like this

 

"Sorry, I'll only use your proper name from now on" He said reassuringly, or at least he tried

 

When she started moving forward he followed

 

After a few steps he stopped

 

He looked back one more time at Karu's body, vacant of his soul

 

[i hope you're in a better place.. and that one day we can join you there, when the time comes.. Karu]

 

With that thought he continued walking, catching up to Rasiel
