So it begins.

 

I have gathered them here. They know nothing yet. That will change soon. I wonder how they will take to each other. Time will tell. Regardless, no more time can be wasted. The Experiment must now begin. Time to wake them up...

 

"Good morning. Welcome to the next part of your life."

 

The voice rang out in all of their ears. Earpieces, firmly attached in the ears of all of them. Inside came the unnerving and unnaturally changed voice on the other end. One by one, after hearing the voice, each of the subjects began to wake. Lying on the shore of a short beach was Yumi Yuki Ai, Ember Mors, Luce Angelo, Hazimie Azhar, and Rasiel Kasaragi. The wind blew over them as they lay sprawled over the sand in close proximity to each other. Just as they had been placed. Next to the beach was a mix of jungle and swamp that went deeper into the mainland. Besides that the beach was mostly barren. A wrecked fishing boat was rusted and decaying within walking distance, but nothing more. The waves lapped up on the shore softly...

 

Miles away lay an abandoned collection of bunkers and buildings. They surrounded an airstrip. Rusted machine parts lay strewn about, and any sign of activity at the airstrip had long since faded. On the ground in the middle of the airstrip lay several more people. Ren Cabret, Neisan, Kilek North, Tsuna Sasaki, and Sikota Urinakano. Two desolate bunkers flanked the airstrip they were on, with a control tower at the end of the strip. Forest flanked the airstrip on all sides, with a single winding road leading out. The wind cut through the trees and sliced past the bunkers onto the airstrip. Only the wind and the trees provided any sound to the desolate military installation...

 

Deep in the jungle was a pair of rusted jeeps parked next to a crumbling house. The jeeps were long past functioning, and their engines were removed recently as well. The house sat surrounded by the trees with a single road leading somewhere further into the jungle. Inside the house were the four other subjects; Robert Evans, Karu Kasaragi, Fulmen Aizen, Xander Steel, and Locke Stern. Part of the roof of the house had caved in, and most of the belongings and furniture were gone. Remaining in the house were a few pots and pans, and single picture in an imaculate frame on a table in the room where the four people were laying. Silence pervaded the house...

 

On this island the Experiment is to be conducted. The island itself is only a few miles across, but its jungles, beaches, and bunkers hold long-kept secrets. These people now find themselves as part of a deadly game. They will have to get to know each other, and work together to discover what is sought from them, and in the process they must learn what they seek themselves.

 

The voice buzzed through their earpeices once more.

 

"Time to wake up. The Experiment has begun. You won't want to be asleep for this... Wake up and meet your new friends... and enemies. Wake up...

 

...the game has begun."

How do I miss these things

The blast door suddenly roared open in from of Fulmen.

 

"Time to leave her."

He looked up at Rasiel and smiled a little

 

"Ya.. thank you.. this had happened a few times before"

 

"The first and longest one happened just before I discovered my powers"

 

She sat next to him and spoke

 

"I can kinda sense what's going on in the shadows.. Joshua's gonna need help.. Sylar's a monster" He clenched his fist

 

He looked at her

 

"Just a minute longer and I'll be ok, sorry" He looked a little distressed

Fulmen brushed Yumi's cheek, sighing to himself. "I love you too. I'm sorry it had to come to this." Fulmen said, turning to face the opening blast door. He nodded once, looking back at Yumi's unconscious form as he walked ahead.

"Alright Xi. What's next in your diabolical plan?"

(Well I sure mised quite a bit, didn't I?)

 

Robert's eye's finally began to open, and he picked himself off of the floor. Early on in the fight between Hazimie and Kijiya Robert was hit with a stray sound blast and was knocked out cold.

 

"Woh, what did I miss? Hey, where's Hazimie and that other guy?"

The blast door grinded shit once again behind Fulmen. In front of him was a single circular staircase that spun upward.

 

"There is nothing diabolical in my plan, Fulmen. I don't intend harm. Limits must be tested though, and if that breaks your romantic interests, so be it. As you may have noticed, you are deep underground right now. The staircase in front of you is the way to the surface, and to your next test. Firstly, however, the staircase will serve as a test itself. It is by no means short, the cumulative distance of the stair length stretches a mile or two, and it will take some time and quite a bit of effort to make it all the way up in good time."

 

Then there was pause, just like there always was before a new slice of information.

 

"And you will want to make it up in good time. You see, in 10 minutes the room behind you will be filled with an amalgamation of various fatal chemicals. Any life in the room will be quickly extinguished, and I'm sure you can think of one in particular you would prefer not to. The gas can be turned off, on one condition; that you make it to the surface beforehand. By most accounts, climbing so many stairs in so little time would be impossible, so the question is; is love so powerful that you will push yourself to your limits to save her? Your powers are not related to any sort of speed. Here you have no advantage. It is only you and your determination. The countdown starts now."

Rasiel nodded in agreement, looking down at the hearings of what Xander had said about Joshua.

"I'll make sure he is okay..." she said, then Robert awoke.

"Hazimie is dead, and Kijiya ran off with Hazimie's dead body..." she said.

 

(Sodom is ready for another "CHALLENGE" challenge of "Xi is going to kill everyone...")

Joshua hacked a few times from the telekinetic strangle. "I can control my shadow directly though...." Joshua coughed. "While your's isn't as strong of a force but goes for more than just shadow." He continued. His entire body turned to a dark black. Even if Sylar tried using the shadow telekinetically, Joshua held a stronger, quicker, direct control over the darkness. The darkness instantaneously 'popped' as it shrouded Joshua, dropping him a foot or two as the telekinesis was disabled over his body. "I'm not going to give you time to think of telekinesis though!" Joshua stated a little boldly. A stalagmite from under Sylar rose up swiftly to stab him as tentacles of darkness emitted from Joshua, slithering, slashing, and grabbing hold of Sylar, with stalicites falling from the ceiling, long blades beaming towards Sylar, spikes on each of the walls spasming out in a random order, a 'swarm' of locust-like shadows coming to Sylar, and the darkness giving and overall horrible sight to Sylar.

 

Isaac grinned dementedly, and calmly kept his lips and tongue pressed against Ember's. Meanwhile, he sent a wave of heat signalling through his blood, skin, and bones, ultimately giving his entire body a warm feeling-- and not just for or from Ember. He used it to add energy to the liquids Ember cast within him to boil up and release itself back into its gas state of matter. Back to normal, Isaac flipped Ember over to the side and kept her down. He licked his lips pervertedly and toom out a dissecting knife. "I really enjoyed that, Ember. Let's have some more fun."

 

Lira/Sikota quicjly raised his hands as if surrendering. "Ren...!" He complaint in.Sikota's voice. "Xi brought me back, that's all! Why would you just accuse me all of a sudden?"

Fulmen shot towards the stairs, not giving a single thought or grievance. He barreled towards the stairs, immediately climbing them-- rushing like a missile up the steps. His lungs burned as he went, his legs hurting the more he ran.

I've got to get this done. I have to ensure Yumi lives. The average human can run a mile in about the same time...but I'm no average human. Fulmen thought, gasping for air as he continued his climb.

The doors from the elevator that Sylar had come through opened with a ding. Joshua and Sylar were not yet back, but it seemed Xi wasted little time.

 

"The path forward is open." to voice rang in the ears of everyone in the room. "Did you want to come see me face to face? All you need to do is enter the elevator and press the button."

Yuffie's earpiece suddenly came alive. "Due to an electrical chip emplacement in his brain, I can render Isaac momentarily unconscious, and consider this test a success, allowing Luce and yourself to proceed to the the next room and lock Isaac in this one temporarily. In return you will be given a certain difficult task later in the experiment. If you accept, say yes, if you do not, say nothing at all. There is little time, though, so consider this proposition quickly... it may your last chance."

Rasiel grimaced at the sound of Xi's voice.

"When I do see you face to face Xi, you better hope you have me bound or hurt or you are losing your head you ass hole..." she snapped.

"I don't trust you anyway...however I might as well go." she sighed.

Rasiel stood up, helping Xander up as well she looked over to Robert and then Xander.

"Come on, we are leaving." she said simply, grabbing onto Xander's hand again.

 

 

(RASIEL IS SERIOUS. I'VE DECAPITATED ONE PERSONS HEAD IN ANOTHER ROLEPLAY, IM NOT AFRAID TO DO IT AGAIN...)

Fulmen had no idea how far he had come-- only that he needed to go faster.

How am I supposed to do this?! Think...think! Wait! Our bodies' nerves revolve around electron signals. Electrons are a basic component to current and electricity...which means if I apply my own power to myself, I could potentially increase my physical speed and pain reduction. Fulmen thought, glad that actually learning about his power lead to something. He closed his eyes, the smell of ozone about him increasing rapidly.

Like that, he burst forward even faster, a loud laugh escaping from him as he went.

Xi watched the surveillance of Fulmen sprinting up the stairs. The guy was truly pushing himself, and utilizing his power, but using such vast amounts of energy on himself may have dire consequences.

 

"Fulmen, you may be blocking out the pain, you may be giving yourself a surge, but think of what this is doing to your body. You may end up killing yourself here? This is only a girl on the line here. Just a single person, are you truly so naive?"

"Godspeed Fulmen!" The shadowy figure declared. "GO!" In a small burst of flame, another one of his chains broke.

Xander tensed up when Xi's voice came on

 

[This can't be good..] He thought hearing Xi's words

 

Rasiel helped him up and grabbed his hand

 

"Wait. You know this is a trap, Rasiel.." He said almost pleading "I don't think Xi's a liar. But under what circumstances will we be seeing him 'face to face'??"

Ember was ready to slice Isaac's face off with a conjured knife when Xi's voice came in over her earpiece. Yes! A way out of this mess. She hated Isaac with every fiber of her hate, but vengeance would have to wait. Taunting Isaac and activating Xi's offer, she spoke. "Ooh yeesss..." she moaned.

Sylar turned his body to ice, activating his freezing touch all over his body. All the attacks simply froze away and shattered. As soon as the turmoil was over, he broke out of his ice cage. He stood, and looked over at Joshua. "You are stronger. Probably due to the high emotion you are feeling. Since I mostly lack emotion, I am always at my strongest." he spoke in a cold, calculating tone. Sylar raised his arms, and dashed forward, using his speed to gain momentum. He grabbed Joshua, and pinned him to a wall. "I can give you a chance though. You do not have the strength to kill me. I want your power more than Rasiel and Xander's. If you do end up defeating but not killing me, I will come back and hurt your friends. But if you let me kill you, I will spare Humm, Robert, Yumi, and Fulmen for now. And I will do my best to protect Xander and Rasiel. That is my deal." Sylar spoke, giving Joshua a chance to end some of the chaos.
