So it begins.

 

I have gathered them here. They know nothing yet. That will change soon. I wonder how they will take to each other. Time will tell. Regardless, no more time can be wasted. The Experiment must now begin. Time to wake them up...

 

"Good morning. Welcome to the next part of your life."

 

The voice rang out in all of their ears. Earpieces, firmly attached in the ears of all of them. Inside came the unnerving and unnaturally changed voice on the other end. One by one, after hearing the voice, each of the subjects began to wake. Lying on the shore of a short beach was Yumi Yuki Ai, Ember Mors, Luce Angelo, Hazimie Azhar, and Rasiel Kasaragi. The wind blew over them as they lay sprawled over the sand in close proximity to each other. Just as they had been placed. Next to the beach was a mix of jungle and swamp that went deeper into the mainland. Besides that the beach was mostly barren. A wrecked fishing boat was rusted and decaying within walking distance, but nothing more. The waves lapped up on the shore softly...

 

Miles away lay an abandoned collection of bunkers and buildings. They surrounded an airstrip. Rusted machine parts lay strewn about, and any sign of activity at the airstrip had long since faded. On the ground in the middle of the airstrip lay several more people. Ren Cabret, Neisan, Kilek North, Tsuna Sasaki, and Sikota Urinakano. Two desolate bunkers flanked the airstrip they were on, with a control tower at the end of the strip. Forest flanked the airstrip on all sides, with a single winding road leading out. The wind cut through the trees and sliced past the bunkers onto the airstrip. Only the wind and the trees provided any sound to the desolate military installation...

 

Deep in the jungle was a pair of rusted jeeps parked next to a crumbling house. The jeeps were long past functioning, and their engines were removed recently as well. The house sat surrounded by the trees with a single road leading somewhere further into the jungle. Inside the house were the four other subjects; Robert Evans, Karu Kasaragi, Fulmen Aizen, Xander Steel, and Locke Stern. Part of the roof of the house had caved in, and most of the belongings and furniture were gone. Remaining in the house were a few pots and pans, and single picture in an imaculate frame on a table in the room where the four people were laying. Silence pervaded the house...

 

On this island the Experiment is to be conducted. The island itself is only a few miles across, but its jungles, beaches, and bunkers hold long-kept secrets. These people now find themselves as part of a deadly game. They will have to get to know each other, and work together to discover what is sought from them, and in the process they must learn what they seek themselves.

 

The voice buzzed through their earpeices once more.

 

"Time to wake up. The Experiment has begun. You won't want to be asleep for this... Wake up and meet your new friends... and enemies. Wake up...

 

...the game has begun."

Lira turned invisible for a few moments, appearing behind Xander and Rasiel in a new form. Rasiel. Lira/Rasiel had tears flowing from her eyes but still looked angered. She slumped down to the floor looking up at Xander. "Xa-Xander...you would hurt me...?" She plead and cried.

(You're lucky he's still recharging, Schemer... maybe I should have Humm do something. But he might hit the wrong Rasiel)

Xander glared at the 2 Rasiels for a moment

 

"Yes!! I would!!" He said as he backhand slapped Lirasiel, he grabbed the real one and pulled her close

 

"If there's one person you can't use against me.. it's Rasiel" He picked Rasiel up and jumped back away from Lira

A confused Humm finally sorted things out. "It's you and me now!" He dove towards the fake spinning and surrounded by sharp wind. "Galeforce Arrow!"

(Awesome.)Lira backed a bit shocked from the backhand Xander gave her. She transformed to her normal younger self again, holding her sword firmly. Humm came down spiraling towards her, and Lira simply slashed at the bird-boy with her sword. Lira was actually well-versed with a sword. She fought like an excellently trained and elegant fencer. After slashing Humm, she slashed him again and then dashed to Xander and Rasiel. She thrust the blade to Xander.

(I've personally thought so for a short while at this point.)

"Enough!" Robert shouted, and drew his sword. He had spent hours upon hours practicing with wooden swords, so hopefully he would stand a chance against Lira.  He was able parry Lira's Lira's thrust moments before it would have gone into Xander, and readied himself in case Lira decided to strike.

Sylar growled as Isaac tunneled himself into the ground with Joshua. "Fine. I'll just bury you both then." Sylar said, raising his hands. He telekinetically lifted the dirt from Isaac's grave, and placed it into Isaac's burrow.

 

(Sorry for short post, writer's block a little.)

Lira knew all about Robert's practicing from his memories. She knew his battle flaws. "Fighting with a few planks of wood won't prepare you for anything." Lira told Robert. After he parried her attack, she quickly slashed with a flurry of lightweight slashes and slices, somersaulting backwards immediately after. "An orphan, a bird, a basketball player, and an overprotective child. I'm TREMBLING in my heeled boots.. !" Lira scoffed sarcastically.

 

Isaac ignored Sylar and burrowed himself ahead, digging through like a gopher but faster and more efficiently. It was an awfully easy task with Isaac's claws and arms of carbon. He dug himself out from the ground and biokinetically coursed his blood through Isaac. He made sure it flowed all throughout his body-- finding its way to the heart and brain. "I'll need a non-human way for him to get energy. I have no food, after all." Isaac mumbled. He glanced ahead, ensuring Sylar wasn't there yet. They were outside of the room they fought in and Isaac trampled over to the grasses and plants. He took a few flowers and a Venus Fly-Trap, maybe he could get some photosynthesis to Joshua for a few moments before he could find actual food for him to eat. Isaac reached into Joshua and began pumping his heart.

Xander smiled at Lira's comment "Heh heh. Did Xi give you a history lesson, or does this knowledge come from your powers?? Care to tell us a little bit about yourself then, Mystique??" (Heh heh, a new nickname!!)

Rasiel blushed a deep red, imminently looking away.

"Yes. Thanks..." She said, then interrupted by Lira's sarcastic comment, then smiling at Xander's affending comment.

She looked up at him again, she was still blushing, but she didn't care about that right now.

"Xander...can you put me down please?" Rasiel asked.

Rasiel looked away, just as Lira flipped her hair back. "That's for all of you to ponder." She responded to Xander, fading away into the air as she changed herself into the mere air again. In a few short moments, a small, soft hand held Rasiel's. "Rasiel...I'm sorry I couldn't help Karu. I was too late...." She said to Rasiel...as Joshua. he had a soft smile as he held Rasiel's hand, but still looked saddened. Three people in Rasiel's life had sacrificed themselves for her well-being.

Rasiel snatched her hand away from Joshua/Lira, struggling from Xander's grip now. In her struggle, Rasiel forcefully stabbed Joshua, not because of Xander, but because of her rage. She pulled the dagger out of Joshua/Lira's right collarbone, she held the now bloodied knife in her hand, getting out of Xander's arms.

"Lira...why don't you stop?" She asked.

Yumi sighed. "A little heat. That's why I wear this wrap!" She cried out to no one.

She rushed over to Simon."Hey,Simon we need to get out of here. " She said and looked down at him.

"It's getting to hot in here and...the human body can only handle so much.." She sighed.

"Eh...nothing." FUlmen then said, sighing. He was bored now. Or scared. He wasn't sure which one, but he was certainly worried for what might come up next. What if he had another choice to make, say choose a button to decide the fate of others. After the missile dilemma, he hoped not.

"Xi's been quiet. I wonder if there's something else going on that has his attention elsewhere."

 

I hope to God Yumi is alright.
