So what happens if they manage to get eight Keyblade wielders on the side of light?  I know Xehanort said one of the lights belongs to him, but if they manage to rescue whoever it is, most likely Terra, and they have 8 lights, would the X-Blade be forged still?

We have actually way more than 8 possible lights already. Nomura even said Donald and Goofy can be a light. They don't need to be wielders. Plus the PoH can be used . Also, if the formula was off we don't know what would happen.I actually wrote a theory already on this :P

They could really have as many keyblade wielders as they wanted to. But that doesn't mean they would all be lights.

There's not much telling. There are quite a few possible lights though what would happen if the numbers are unbalanced is up to theorizing for now.

Well, wouldn't that mean Xehanort's plan is doomed?  And I thought they were handing out Keyblades like candy.  Turns out they're handing out "potential light" status even more than candy.  How's he going to make sure only seven actually clash with his thirteen?

It's a good theory, makes me want to see what happens even more.

Is this true? Then if so, the keyblade has become WAY to common.

It could quite possibly be a problem .And yes yes great minds think alike :P

i thought the only way to get a keyblade is that keyblade wielder/master choose to share their ability to wield one ( i think they can only choose one person in normal circumstances) and if the keyblade it self chooses you

I assume that Xehanort's plan is almost flawless, consider his insistence on the final battle and all events prior were destined to happen. Destiny would probably just choose 7 of the fighters for light, or maybe even shave off any excess, if ya know what I mean...

Weren't his other plans "almost flawless", as well?  You saw how they ended up.

Except that not one of Xehanort's or any of his incarnation's plans have ever succeeded . Ever. That's why he always needs a back up plan . He manufactures 'destiny' therefore it's not really destiny. He also never accounts for free will and things going wrong bc of that. Theres a reason he hasn't succeeded so far.

I personally agree with you guys and I actually believe that Xehanort's plan in KHIII will mess up because of an 8th light. But who knows? Nomura might pull a fast one on destiny. I can't get one bit of text out of my head:

"Did we come all this way for nothing?"

There are two ways of think it, one that goes with the logic "if you have 9 lights it also means that 7 lights" (because you can not have 9 without having 7) and by that making more lights indifferent to MX's plans, the other way of think it is that there is to be exactly 13 darkness clashing with exactly 7 lights, than if there are more than 7 guardians of the light MX would have to go after the PoH since they are always 7 and it seems unlikely that Kingdom Hearts will make only another light fragment of X-Blade just to foil MX plans.

But see, Xehanort made his 13 'pieces' of darkness. They aren't the original pieces . Therefore if he can use his own 13 darknesses the lights can do the same . So if the lights are also protecting the PoH there will always be more lights around. Just sayin'. Also , KH can and will protect itself just like when it gave Sora and Riku a door to fight Xemnas in KH2.. Xigbar/Braig himself stated it's like KH itself rejects / will reject Xehanort.

Yes, I agree with you that Kingdom Hearts will reject MX for some unknown reason (not let an old creepy dude with a darkness fixation rule the universes), and I also think that the 13 darkness not being the original/natural ones but variations of the same darkness could be a flaw in MX plans, yet MX still misses his 13th darkness

Yeah hes still missing his 13th..for now...But regardless, if he can manufacture darknesses then the 7 lights don't have to be the PoH which is what MX is counting on- hes trying to basically force this battle by using the PoH or the lights defending them therefore making the clash between 13 darknesses and 7 lights inevitable and therefore destiny. But his 'calculations'/plans have always been 'off' or foiled . xD

I am one of the lights. All will be revealed soon enough.

I don't think it really matters if there's more than eight nor do I think the GoL are restricted to seven. Xehanort said that there will only be seven needed but regardless if there are more I doubt it would interfere with his planes. The Thirteen Darknesses and GoL are essentially ingredients for X-Blade soup and sound easy to replace to an extant. If/when the X-Blade is made I reckon it'll take as much as it needs.

He said it broke into the 7 lights and 13 darknesses, but just like his other formula was off, this one could be sensitive to changes as well. Thats the point. It very well could just take what it just needs or , it could also be too much light clashing together and throw off the formula. Keep in mind hes not even using the original pieces per se, so since they aren't, they just don't neatly just fall back into place. He's using manufactured "pieces" hoping his plan will just 'fall into place' --we saw how that has served him in the past.Thats the point of the theory xD
