Posted March 10, 201312 yr Do you think online capabilities can make a game good or bad? I'm fine with it, as many of the games I play are single player, and I don't play online all to often in the games that aren't. What about you?
March 10, 201312 yr It's a great addition to fighting games, and so on. But I hate that a lot of developers are tacking on unneeded multiplayer modes (AC, Mass Effect, ect).

March 10, 201312 yr Assuming online means literally any game that has wifi capabilities (ignore if not)... then it depends on the game. I for one, can't stand battling random strangers on Pokémon because most of them are experts at competitive battling (IVs, EVs, all that crap). I hate getting into that stuff 'cause it's too confusing/complicated for me to bother with aside from getting the right natures and such... so when you get completely wiped out in two seconds by a team of six well-trained Feebas, life is not fun anymore (note that's not from experience but the kinda thing that would probably happen to me ). I wish Pokémon hadn't included mechanics like that, but that's just me (and probably anyone between the ages of 5-12 who play it and don't have a clue about comp. battling either). It takes the fun out of it when you can't just grab a team of your 6 favourites and go, and makes the whole online aspect completely pointless unless you actually spend months on end putting together a decent team and do your research to find out HOW to do that. /rant Otherwise, I love the online aspect. Journey (PS3) has made the best use of it yet imo. Never played such a great game with someone-else before.
March 10, 201312 yr Depends on the game. I dont replay single player games as much anymore, so multiplayer becomes important.
March 10, 201312 yr Depends on the game. I hardly play AC online, but I like it to play beat'em ups online. However, I prefer a strong single/local player game.
