Question about possible "KH HD 2.5 ReMix"

Posted

Just wondering if anyone knows the answer to this since i dont know much about graphics quality and whatnot. Does anyone know how hard it would be to upgrade BBS to HD quality? like, would it be a lot tougher than upgrading KH1, Re:CoM and KH2?

Just curious to see if they would be able to make the game HD in a year along with KH2 and cutscenes from Coded.

If its tough, who knows. Maybe they could take longer to produce the 2.5 ReMix or they could make BBS a theater mode just like Days.

Probably not too hard. It'd be tougher than kh2 since they'll have to put it on ps3 but it can be done.

It wouldn't be that much harder. The PSP has PS2 graphics just on a lower resolution. Kingdom Hearts Final Mix was developed with a very old program so it was hard for them to work on it. And now they have the experience/knowledge from doing HD 1.5 ReMIX. They will release it worldwide in 2014. Nothing there to stop them from doing it.

I think it is more harder to change the original ds KHDays cutscene to HD,

They remade the 358/2 Days cutscenes and events in HD. It's impossible to remaster them in HD.

cool, thanks. yeah thats what i figured. only thing left to wonder is whether or not they will use BBS final mix, they most likely will though. Also, what's to become of KH 3D? it will be the only game left off of the playstation system and it's a vital piece of story leading up to KH3.

Plus PSP is already in 16:9 format, so that's one less transition they have to do in the change. and PSP used very similar graphics engines to ps2, making it no harder than upgrading a PS2 game to HD

Oh God, such the wrong place to ask this question when not many people know a damn thing of what they're talking about.

It won't be as hard as you all think, they basically transfer all the data over that is in a format readable to the PS3. All games are virtually coded in the same language, for companies that have a series of games like Kingdom Hearts then it won't be that hard system they're all likely coded the same way. Touching up on graphics shouldn't be a hard feat for them.

Here's a comparison between Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker for PSP and the HD version released for 360/PS3.

The Nintendo games are the time consuming ones.

The example I always think of is the God of War games, which transitioned fine to PS3 from PSP.

Not that hard honestly, PSP games got regularly ported to PS2 and a few have been remastered on PS3 so should be no issue to get Birth By Sleep on it
