Are Organization XIII evil?

Posted

Do you think the Organization was evil with what they were trying to do? Do you think it was right for Sora to destroy them? Were they simply innocently trying to restore their Hearts, or were they being malicious? What do you think?

Personally I think that they are evil but should be pitied... they didn't really have much choice when the alternative is to "fade into nothingness".

Oh, and try to give reasons instead of simply saying that they shouldn't die because you liked a certain character.

@Reversal: welll I am not sure in case any body doesn't know that she is the replica of Sora

Axel: Not evil at all in fact you could consider him a protagonist because he didn't to kill anyone or anything, he just wanted a heart

Saix: A little evil because he abducted Kairi but he just did it to get hearts

Dymex: Not evil just wanted to play his guitar lol ^ ^

The end of discrimination against nobodies and becoming whole again? Good Idea. Blackmailing, treading over, and tricking people out of their hearts for power and strength alone, even for a good cause is wrong. They have to take as many hearts as it takes to almost end all worlds. That power, in the hands of someone who lacks any sense of value, is NEVER a good idea. By the way, heart power is you life. Emotions come from the mind, and the soul controls will. The heart sustains all of that.

Like a computer.

Brain=Operating System

Heart=Power Source

Soul=Components

So they are essentially zombies.

Well I believe that they were innocent ,but no so innocent. There is nothing wrong with just wanting a heart when you know you don't have one. Xemnas I don't think was. I know for sure that he was not. In the end he quotes what he was going to do if he obtained a heart. Demnx I believe was innocent along with Roxas,Xion,Axel,Luxord and a couple other members. But you have to pity all of the organization 13 members ,because everyone treats them like garbage, since after all they weren't suppose to exist after all. I think there intentions were innocent ,but how they did it was evil. I guess the curiosity or the yearning of having a heart got the better of them. But Xenmas was planning on doing something evil and you'll find out who xenmas originally was when you get the game Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep.(even though they are Nobodies they can still remember what they were like when they had a heart.

Hey don't you remember when Axe helped Sora. Don't forget about his friendship with Sora. I believe he had something planned and don't forget he helped Kairi escape.

Well not exactly, all they wanted was their hearts back. The only one that was evil was Xemnas.

@Fredfredbug4: Larxene Marluxia and Zexion were also evil

Like I said earlier, Xemnas was the only one who was truly evil. The other members wanted their hearts back. However, no matter which member you look at, they each did bad things.

For example, Axel. At Castle Oblivion, he killed Vexen (to gain Marluxia's trust), and Zexion (to give Saix a higher ranking), plus he tried to defeat Sora. In KH2, at the end of Roxas's independent existance, Axel was ready to kill him... literally. Hence the whole "BUT YOU'RE TOO LATE!" thing, he kidnapped Kairi, and he wanted to turn Sora back into a Heartless. During CoM, and a good portion of KH2, Axel is an antagonist.

Even Demyx was at fault. He stole the Olympus Stone from the freaking GODS, he injured Phil, and (as much as Demyx fans don't want to hear) he DID try to kill Sora at the War of Hollow Bastion.

Most of their intentions might have been for a good purpose, but that doesn't excuse the horrible things they have done.

It's all kind of Riku syndrome, I think- barring Xemnas, they were all essentially doing horrible things for the sake of something worth fighting for. Their intentions aren't really evil at all, as they just want to be real people... But they go about getting hearts in a bad way. All the problems they caused and the countless lives they tried to destroy can't be excused, really- and if any one of them had survived and gained a heart, he or she would HAVE to face up to the consequences, and find some way to make up for what they'd done.

...Yes, even Demyx.

I don't really think any of them are evil because all they were really doing is trying to get back to how they were before they were turned into Nobodies. Sure, the way they went about it was kinda evil, but I don't think they THEMSELVES were evil...

@Fredfredbug4: Larxene Marluxia and Zexion were also evil

Zexion is a loyal member of the Organization. Loyal =/= evil.

I wouldn't really say Larxene and Marluxia were evil. Just desperate. Desperate to regain their hearts, they believed that they would never be able to regain them if they were still under Xemnas' leadership, and opted for a "better replacement".

Axel had to play the part of the "bad guy" during CoM. He fought Sora, yes, but not to kill him, since the Organization still needs him. Everything else he did there was out of loyalty to his once best friend, and again to play the part, since Xemnas was getting reports from CO every now and then. In KH2, he just wanted to see Roxas again.

Demyx was under orders and didn't want to be turned into a Dusk. He was also provoked, by Sora, into fighting him.

It's not the things they've done that matter, but their intentions. Riku's done some bad things in KH1, kidnapping princesses, hurting people, trying to get Sora out of the way, etc. However, it was all because Maleficent fed him lies and made him believe that by helping her, he would be able to use the "untold wisdom" that lies within Kingdom Hearts to recover Kairi's heart, and that Sora really had traded him and Kairi for Donald, Goofy, and the Keyblade.

Aside from the obvious villains (ie Maleficent, Ursula, etc.), everyone else is excusable, or at least debatable.

I don't think anybody in KH is truly evil, I just believe their intentions aren't good. One example is MX. The stuff he did was super evil, but it was for a good cause in a sense. The balance between light and dark was starting to shift, and he wanted to recreate the worlds through darkness, but maintain the balance afterwards. Now people may say it was an evil cause, but I don't think so. He was just misguided with his actions, and somehow was led to believe the stuff he was doing was right.

Organization XIII just wanted hearts. Although they did absolutely evil things to try to get them, it still wasn't a evil cause, just evil events that transpired.

Vanitas is evil. Pure evil.

Vanitas is a different case from everybody else, since he was born with a heart of darkness.

i'm sad larxene was beat up TWICE!!!i like her and why is she the only girl in the orginization xion and namine dont count cause xion's a puppet and namine..........................really hard to explain.the orginization was only doing selfish things because you need a heart to tell right from wrong.and how else would they get a heart?its not like you can say:

nobody:hey can i borrow your heart?

somebody:sure it will grow back right?(not)

yeah but for Zexion, he was evil, he almost killed Riku :3

Honistly, how can something with no emotion "Want"? IMO the members of the Org never "Wanted" hearts - or anything for that matter (Except for the strange ones, Xemnas, Roxas, Xion, Nom-a-nom-a-nomine) they were simpley half-non-existant being that were emulating what there somebodys WOULD do in that situation, but never really "Wanted" anything, or even cared, because they wouldn't fade into nothingness, they already WERE nothingness - they never existed in the first place, there was nothing there, just a reprosentation of their somebody.

Also Xemnas (Seperoth 2.0?) - My Fav KH char - Is making a reaperenece apparently, this quote is taken from the KH wiki page on Xenhanort:

"Would a single one of you suffice if what you faced was not a single one of him?" —Yen Sid to Mickey about Xehanort

Following the complete debugging of Jiminy's Journal, Yen Sid informs Mickey that Xehanort has been revived following the defeat of Ansem and Xemnas, and further warns him that more than one form of him may have returned.
