Reyn 1,755 Posted April 4, 2013 (edited) Here is an FAQ: http://www.gamefaqs.com/ps2/516587-kingdom-hearts/faqs/21270 This is so we know the differences for the HD collection. There are alot more differences than i thought originally, so im more excited. :DD Some of the differences are: New Abilties like Tech Plus(Increases Tech EXP) and Leaf Veil(Leaf Bracer). Sora's final stats at Level 100 have been significantly tweaked from the original: Sora's Stats at Level 100 (Kingdom Hearts)Chosen Power Sword Sword Rod Rod Shield ShieldUnwanted Power Rod Shield Sword Shield Sword RodHP 84 84 84 84 84 84MP 8 8 10 10 8 8AP 37 39 39 39 39 37Attack Power 57 57 54 56 55 56Defence Power 52 51 53 51 54 54Item Slots 7 7 6 6 8 8Accessory Slots 3 3 3 3 3 3 Sora's Stats at Level 100 (Kingdom Hearts Final Mix)Chosen Power Sword Sword Rod Rod Shield ShieldUnwanted Power Rod Shield Sword Shield Sword RodHP 87 87 87 87 87 87MP 8 8 10 10 8 8AP 49 51 51 51 51 49Attack Power 49 49 46 48 47 48Defence Power 46 45 48 46 49 49Item Slots 7 7 6 6 8 8Accessory Slots 3 3 3 3 3 3 In FM, Sora ends up with more HP and 10 extra AP, but loses 10 points for Offense and Defense each. Everything else stays the same for the most part. (The other characters have really small tweaks, so i won't bother) There are 3 extra Ansem reports that you get from beating the Extra bosses(Kurt Zisa, Sephiroth). Everyone gets new weapons: Sora: Sora gets a cool new long Keyblade that rivals Ultima Weapon in power thanks to its amazing Critical Power Boost, and another for magic-lovers that increases his maximum MP more than ever before. One Winged Angel / 窶絶犯停堙娯弖gAttack Power: + 8Maximum MP: - 2Critical Rate: x 0.5Critical Power: + 16Kick: 90Size: LongObtained by defeating Sephiroth in the Platinum Match at the Olympus Coliseum.Diamond Dust / 胆辰停榿停堡停愴檀胆湛暖Attack Power: + 3Maximum MP: + 3Critical Rate: x 1Critical Power: 0Kick: 1Size: Mid-lengthObtained by defeating the Ice Titan in the Gold Match at the Olympus Coliseum. Donald: Donald's weapons follow a similar path to Sora's. He gets a new ultimate weapon, with a great critical hit rate that is rare for Donald (only the Critical Mace could deal critical hits before Final Mix), but which doesn't give any MP. Then he gets a low-attack, high-magic weapon.Meteo Strike / 陳・弾棚湛暖停辰誰Attack Power: + 13Critical Rate: x 1Critical Power: + 4Kick: 90Size: LongEnd of the World: Giant Crevasse, in a treasure chest.Fantasista / 稚叩停愴耽淡湛耽Attack Power: + 3Maximum MP: + 3Critical Rate: x 0Kick: 30Size: LongThe 31st Item Synthesis item. Goofy: Goofy got the worst deal with ultimate weapons, as his new Massive Bumper delivers on attack power and kick, but that's all. Save the King is probably better. His magic weapon however gets a slightly higher Attack Power than Sora and Donald's.Massive Bumper / 筑鍛歎置弛停愴恥ーAttack Power: + 15Critical Rate: x 0Kick: 90Size: SmallEnd of the World: Neverland section, in a treasure chest.Seven Elements / 短置停愴竪椎槌陳・停愴団Attack Power: + 4Maximum MP: + 3Critical Rate: x 0Kick: 1Size: MediumThe 32nd Synthesis item. The difficulties have been significantly tweaked: Final Mix: Beginner ------------------------------ 稚叩辰段停蓄鍛誰湛池樽段ー-------------------------------------------------------------------------------An easy game mode designed for those new to games, in which you have rare items from the start and battle conditions are shifted in your favour.- Sora starts the game with a Ribbon, an EXP Necklace, 8 Power Ups, 8 Guard Ups and 4 AP Ups.- The Drill Gummi's Attack Power is 9,999. (It's usually 35.)- Neither secret movie is shown at the end of the game.- The save file is recorded as FMBG.Final Mix -------------------------------------------------- 稚叩辰段停蓄鍛誰湛-------------------------------------------------------------------------------The recommended level to play Kingdom Hearts on your first play through, the standard difficulty level has a good balance between easy and hard. Note that it is not the same as the original version of Kingdom Hearts; the game balance has been fine-tuned.- In the Gummi Ship sections, damage from enemy ships is twice that in the original game. Your own ship's Attack Power is only 2/3 what it was in the original game.- Either of the secret movies can be viewed under certain conditions.- The save file is recorded as FM.Final Mix: Proud --------------------------------- 稚叩辰段停蓄鍛誰湛致停脱檀-------------------------------------------------------------------------------Strong enemies and thrilling battles make for a challenge for veteran players.- Damage received from enemies is twice that in the original game.- In the Gummi Ship sections, damage from enemy ships is four times that in the original game. Your own ship's Attack Power is only 1/2 what it was in the original game.- Either of the secret movies can be viewed, and the conditions are much easier than in the normal difficulty level. Also, the picture displayed at the end of the end sequence changes depending on certain conditions.- A Battle Report is shown at the end of the end sequence.- The save file is recorded as FMPR. Those are the biggest Changes. Because of the difficulty tweaks, i might try to get 100% on a Beginner mode playthrough rather than a Proud mode one. Also i might choose Shield and give up Rod. Reyn 1,755 Posted April 4, 2013 I actually experienced these changes years ago thanks to importing Cool. I can't wait to experience the changes in the fall. And thanks to the stat tweaks, im gonna choose the Sword, and give up the Shield for my 100% playthrough.
Sora96 17,256 Posted April 4, 2013 Didn't you know about these changes? I thought they were common knowledge. 1 Mirr0rVS13 reacted to this
supersaiyanmikito 32 Posted April 4, 2013 I would not recommend taking the sword and dumping shield. Its the most difficult combination to play through with and gives no benefits what-so-ever by end game. Shield at least gives extra item slots and staff gives more MP. All Sword gives is Strength which is completely unnecessary since you can make Power Ups and the Ultima Weapon got a power buff.
Gamerazor247 877 Posted April 4, 2013 Ummmm.. Ok
mgmkidKH 26 Posted April 4, 2013 I knew about the new weapons and stuff... but I didn't know that the stats also changed. Oh, and there's something I don't understand: in KH1 you learn most of the abilities while leveling up, so, if you enable the Zero EXP ability, you don't learn even how to use Block or Scan? Caity 3,946 Posted April 4, 2013 Before I even get this game I already know for my first playthrough i'm gonna to take the shield since it seems the best in terms of the levels you get abilities and items. I think I was looking at this (or this information was in the gamefaqs I looked at cause it was much longer) cause I wanted to make a synthesis list for the next items and enemies. PREPARATION. Reyn 1,755 Posted April 4, 2013 Didn't you know about these changes? I thought they were common knowledge. I knew about the extra weapons, extra abilities, the secret boss, and the new difficulties. I didn't know that the end game stats changed and about the extra Ansem Reports though. But that's it.
