On the bus today a kid punched me in the side of the face. It didn't hurt so I found his weakness. Tommorow at school I'm going to do something whether its starting a fight or getting him off guard. I need tips because I've never been in a fight before. Thanks.

If someone is being a jerk, ignore them.  If they insist on fighting tell a teacher, parent, or principal.  Only even consider doing anything unless it's in defense (as in blocking hits or pushing them back).

Violence will not solve anything.  And getting payback for what they did will just make them in turn want to get payback on you.

Fire and fire just make a bigger fire.  Be the better person.

You have to understand that at many schools telling a teacher or principal only makes things worse and doing nothing will show the bully he can get away with it standing up to him will show the bully not to mess with him.

Report it to the principle. If they don't believe you then...go to where to the "fight" will be. Make sure someone's recording the "fight" and endure the pain. After the "fight", show the principle the recording.

"Fight"- meaning "Do absolutely nothing"

Dude, if you start the fight, then you're no worse than he is. Also, you will definetely get all the blame. Only fight back if he starts it again.

You could wait to see if he's gonna punch you again, or just tell someone about it right away, like a teacher or something like that.

..... why fight back? He's not worth your time. You should either report that he punched you, or walk away from the problem.

Besides, he punched on the side of your face and nothing hurt? He's holding back, sounds like he is being forced by his group or something to punch you so he can stay in the group.

my suggestions?

Go to the admins and principals at school and report him, or go to him directly and ask him why he punched you. But whatever you do, if he begins to fight, run away or resort to self-defense. In schools, self-defense is tolerated, but if you attack, you're screwed.

Avoid fighting at all costs. Fighting is no good.

Don't get in a fight

Violence never solves anything

Are you that immature? If anything, handling the opposing punch will provoke the bully and rile BOTH of them up even more.

"Standing up to him to him will show the bully not to mess with him." Physical violence =/= standing up to someone. Standing up to that bully would be using words and making him point clear to stay away. Which is what he should do if adult authority won't help him. Not fighting back with violence.

The key is to protect yourself. Don't fight back unless you have to. and if it comes to that point, tell someone nearby to tell a teacher, or get someone of higher authority. Protect yourself, but don't be stupid about it.

you really think someone who punches you in the head is going to be afraid of your words and stay away just because you tell him too you are very closed sighted

Get surveillance footage of this happening since this happened on the bus. THAT alone would help out a LOT

The fact of the matter is that fighting violence with violence equals nothing. I've been involved in a few fights, and all it did was get me suspended along with the prick who started everything.

Getting suspended does suck but watch the video posted by Rob thats one scenario and if you dont want to get suspended just get your buissness done off of school proprety thats what i did now no one mess's with me im only trying to help because i know where hes coming from.

and hes not asking for life advice he is asking for tips on how to fight

Close sighted isn't even a saying, omg.

You really think punching someone back is a mature and intelligent thing to do? You really think that it'll put an end to this? In this case, violence will only bring forth more violence. I doubt the OP is smart or clear headed enough to realize that fighting back physically isn't the answer, the same way you and the rest of the people on this thread encouraging him aren't smart or clear headed.

If adult authority doesn't work, then the only thing to do is indifference. If he acts like he doesn't care, the situation will die over in time. The rest of you may take that as a sign of weakness but in reality, it's just a matter of getting over pride rather than get into more trouble.

Reputation means nothing after you get done with school -_-

Starting fights is something only animals and inbreds do, so don't start one. Only fight to defend yourself and nothing more. Getting back at someone who punched you a day again isn't self defense.

Also, you really shouldn't be starting fights without ever being in one before, that's basically asking to get your ass handed to you.

And people, stop telling him to start a fight, you all sound like morons.

This video is irrelevant. What happened in it was self defense, not retribution like the OP seeks.

If you're not going to fight back when it's happening, then don't bother starting it up again. That's what a coward would do.

You people are actually encouraging him.

Wow.

I'd expect this in Random, but not in Personal.

Seriously.  Grow the firetruck up.

Well he is asking for opinions on what he should do.

Close sighted isn't even a saying, omg.

name calling is very mature

Reputation means nothing after you get done with school -_-

Im aware thank you for not calling me an idiot i understand the reputation thing i graduated a while ago i just know what its like people talk shit get in your face hit you i mean you can only take it for so long it may seem simple to tell someone to ignore or to tell an adult but in the reality of some peoples situations it would be very hard to do either of those things and may result in more negativity. But if they know that you can stand up for yourself it will make you seem like less of a target without people beating you up for snitching or other sorts of further intimidation

Close sighted isn't even a saying, omg.

I'm want to fight him but I may get suspended and not go to the end of the year field trip with my friends and girlfriend. If he starts up again I'm gonna fight him. If he doesn't ill leave him alone. But I need to get a way to get him to throw the first punch without teachers knowing I was provoking a fight. I know I can kick his ass because he's really weak and I want to. When he hit me I felt almost violated but I acted like nothing happened. Im extremely mad at him and want to fight him but I don't want to get in trouble.

so your saying if telling an adult doesnt work then he should just continue getting punched in the face and act indifferent because thats firetrucking logical

Okay.  Okay.

So, from what I can gather from this post and your original one, the context is: weak guy punched you on the bus and you want to get him back.

You're more concerned about getting in trouble than punching back a weak guy for an offense, from what you've said, has only happened once thus far.  You want to get him to throw the first punch so you won't be the bad guy.  Uh-huh.  You're extremely mad about it even though you said it didn't even hurt because the guy's weak.

You want advice on fighting against a weak guy who is probably not even worth you're time, because you felt "almost violated."

So, uh, who's the real bully in this situation?

DON'T PROVOKE HIM.

If you provoke him, even if you don't throw the first punch, you are no better than him.  You'll be the kid at school who's a jerk and picks fights and beats people up for no other reason but revenge.  Revenge is never the answer to anything.  You'll just be a bully.
