Hey all

 

I know most of you seem to deject the notion that Harry should NOT be in KH despite it NOT being Disney. here's why and how it SHOULD Be in it:

 

- Similar themes: Think about it, HP/KH are a lot alike. A lot of the themes of both tie into each other. Heck, when DH2 came out i imeadieatly though of KH during Neville's speech, plus Sirius' leaving of Harry in PoA. Friendship and love, Light vs. Dark are such strong themes in both. Sora & co. would have great chemistry interacting with the HP folks. 

 

- Xehanort= Voldemort. Heck, they rhyme, similar sounding name, similar plots, both look alike - crazy, bald old men who show up in different forms. Need I say more? Plus consider:

 

Organization 13 = Death Eaters 

 

7 Lights = 7 Horcruxes but in reverse

 

Xehanort dividing himself up into 13/14 selves = Voldy dividing himslef into 7/8 parts  

 

First installment of both contains a giant 3 headed dog (Fluffy/Cerberus) both based on Greek mythology

 

Penuitlmate installment introduces A LOT on main antagonist and deals with strong teen angst. HBP/DDD:

 

Young Xehanort/Young Riddle being prominently featured in both. 

 

The Horceuxes/13 Darkness revealed 

 

Diving into memories in both - pensive/sleeping worlds 

 

Larxene = Bellatrix

 

Both have possessed the main protagonist: Voldy in Ootp, Sora becoming a vessel in DDD, plus of course Terra's body being possessed by Xehanort 

 

Lea/Axel = Snape in that a member of the Organization/Death Eaters betrays the group and is REALLY a hero/good guy all along and do what they do for love and friendship 

 

Both deal with magic - both sorcery and the magic of friendship

 

The Elder Wand = The X-Blade 

 

An interesting metaphoircal comparison:

 

The Story of the Three Brothers in HP - One dies for power (Terra), one dies from Love (Aqua/Ventus) One accepts their fate and opens Death into loving arms (Aqua/Ventus)

 

Dementors basically are Heartless  - sucking all the LIGHT out of the world and spreading darkness, plus the use of light to defeat them

 

Both series use their powers to make the world(s) a better place 

 

Fun fact: Haley was supposed to play Harry had Speilberg directed the HP films. 

 

For those who think the MAGIC in HP won't work compared with KH magic, consider the Fairy Godmother's magic used in BBS and the magic of Prankster's Paradise. Plus of course Port Royal's magic. Genie's magic, etc. 

 

And here's why Star wars would F KH up:

 

It is just waaaaay too much like KH. I mean, Harry has elements that are similar, but with Star Wars, you are adding on a whole galaxy of warriors fighting to protect worlds. With HP, it's just a world, but with Star Wars its just waaaaaaaay too much of a good thing, which I personally find is the issue with Star wars in the first place, its too overstuffed with things and is def more style than substance.

 

Like someone else said it would cause too much of a plothole with the whole guardians of light and keyblade masters. Having Jedi/Sith and Keyblade masters/darkness in the same game is too awsome. I know some people said the same thing about HP, but seriously, think about it. Harry would be just like ANY other World. Star Wars is MORE than a world, its its own universe and galaxy! Having Jedi team up with Sora and co would ruin the whole fun and point of KH, it just wouldn't be KH anymore. Harry would be a fun cameo like Pirates was, could be introduced and would NOT ruin the whole plot. I know Xehanort/Voldemort are similar and if they EVER meet, it would be kinda like this Star wars complaint, but in all honestly, even if they DID team up it wouldn't effect the series as much, and besides very likely IF Hp was featured, it wouldn't happen till AFTER the Xehanort saga and could just be shown as a reminder/reference of Xehanort

 

Let me no of your guys' thoughts etc.

No on a Sirius note I like Harry Potter and I like KH, but much like Star Wars it's something I wouldn't like to see in Kingdom Hearts, I agree that it should be limited to Square and Disney only.

Hunchback was Disney so that's why it got in. The only non-disney, non-final fantasy characters to get in kh so far are the Twewy characters but those were still owned by Square. Disney doesn't own Harry Potter so it's unlikely.

OT, but on the note of HP being more Disneyish, have you noticed that Disney seems to be becoming more UnDisney, and putting a lot of sexual and adult references in their films, i mean I just saw Iron Man 3 which even though I know is Marvel, but like The avengers/iron man 2/thor/Cap. America felt both Marvel and Disneyish and they blended fine. IM3 felt so unDisneynish and seems to go along with Disney becoming more "adult" and focusing more on action and even on sex. 

 

Take a look at the second Narnia:

 

 - movie opens with a women giving birth

- there are some strong sexual undertones mentioned by Miraz and Susan(in a deleted scene)

- Peter beheads a solider and engages earlier in a brutal fight in the subway tunnels 

- Half the Narnian soliders are slaughtered and killed 

 

Hence why the inclusion of these in the film lead to Disney loosing Narnia 

 

Prince of Persia and John Carter both bombing due to souless characters and chemistry and putting such intense barbaric things in 

 

Even on Good Luck Charlie, a Disney Channel show,  they made some strong references that they would not even have made before:

 

Amy saying she and Bob didn't talk when dating just "played checkers, lots and lots of checkers" 

 a Middle finger reference on the Driving Miss Dabney episode

 

As well, the animated films have even become more adult:

 

Up, Brave, Cars 2, even kinda in Tangled and Princess and the Frog 

 

Disney, what have you become? Why are you throwing away the magic? Let me no of you thoughts on this too

I'm going to go on a whim, and say we'll never see HP in KH. I mean, it'd be interesting...And I love HP, but I just don't see Nomura doing it.

Ya i no but do you agree with what I mean? Its kinda different because Touchstone/Miramax (formally) is just a company owned by Disney to make more money through makign adult films too inappropriate for Disney but the ACTUAL Disney still remained the same since Touchstone was established (despite the subliminal messages which they've stopped doing and there was the Rescuers one b4 Touchstone was formed). Do you also agree that you can watch like ALL of  Marvel Cinematic Phase one (despite some sex in IM1 and a bit in Incredible Hulk, plus of course some swear f-bomb bleeps in IM2 and others in Avengers) and they have a bit of a Disneyish feel that goes very well with the comic booky action feel. now, of course IM3 probs feels very different cuz new director too, but still, I mean, I still don't really understand how the second Narnia which had the SAME director can feel so much more grownuppy, but then again:

 

- The second one does have more action and is darker and more intense than the first one as per the book too

- First one was criticized for being too unepic, which ironically lead to the second one being too epic 

- The director supposedly wanted more action in this one

- They wanted to follow Harry Potter and be more darker, and avoid CoS's supposed criticism for NOT being dark enough, since it despite being hugley successful did not gross as much as PS/SS (but then again that's REALLY greedy and ridiculous consdering PS/SS was like the second highest grossing movie of ALL time at the time of its release, c'mon Warner, BE GRATEFUL) 

 

As well, think about the OTHER points that I pointed out. sure, having some more adult jokes in there is fine, but It seems like they are taking things too far. And I do know that technically it was Walden Media that made Narnia, but Disney marketed and distributed it and again watch the first two then the third. Different Director/Production Designer aside, does it not seem to have a different feel, even to the first one. And despite Disney trying to make the Oz movies, it doesn't really seem like they WANT to do magicy stuff. I mean, consider the following: Disney originally WANTED to make the Wizard of Oz books into animated films, but MGM got ahead of them BUT, Disney was able to get the rights to ALL of the other books (check out the feature of Disney and Oz on the Oz: The Great and Powerful Blu ray next month - btw would make a VERY interesting KH world). So therefore, why didn't Disney try to get OTHER magical books like HP, Eragon, Percy Jackson (which they strangley PUBLISHED the books but did not bother to make the movie), City of Ember, etc. I'm sure you can think of more. They were thining about doing LOTR, but Tolkien wouldn't let them. Now, with HP, the film rights were sold WHILE the book was still being published, but the HP producer David Heyman had a friend at Warner, so he, being only an independent British producer didn't have much strong connections to make such a HUGE budget film, so Disney missed the bullet there hence why Narnia was of their interest, but of course PC failed so due to that and budget conflicts, they dropped out. Now, if someone could please shed some light on this for me, but:

 

ok if Disney does/ NOT have a say in what goes into the narnias, then did they actually allow PC to have all that stuff in it or was it all Walden? Would Disney have wanted to help or not? I really do not know think about what I said, k guys?

Then let Nomura know! You never know, despite the KHRP saying otherwise, maybe he or square may ACTUALLY listen to what fans want. After all, YOU make everything happen in your life, no one else does! I mean, he did somewhat listen to the criticism of KH being released on multiple consoles hence the Remixs, so you NEVER know. As well, consider this: 

 

Entertainment seems to now be going by what the public majorly wants. IE New Star wars Trilogy, New Boy Meets World Show, All of this Marvel Stuff etc. If the public REALLY wants it then they likely could do it!
