May 5, 201312 yr The Guardian My theory is that it's a heartless But yeah, there are several Guardians. You need to be more specific Edited May 5, 201312 yr by Weiss
May 5, 201312 yr Author Ansem's guardian? My theory is that it's Vanitas. Wouldn't that be a twist Yes Ansem SoD's guardian is the one I'm talking about, but Vanitas is still alive when Terranort is born...
May 5, 201312 yr Ansem's guardian? My theory is that it's Vanitas. Wouldn't that be a twist No, in BBS Guardian was the physical manifestation of Xehanort's darkness. In KH1 he is the physical manifestation of Ansem's darkness.
May 5, 201312 yr Yes Ansem SoD's guardian is the one I'm talking about, but Vanitas is still alive when Terranort is born...Yes, but you never see him use the guardian before Vanitas is defeated. No, in BBS Guardian was the physical manifestation of Xehanort's darkness. In KH1 he is the physical manifestation of Ansem's darkness. Yeah, but who's to say that Vanitas didn't retreat into Xehanort's heart or something like that?Still, this is just my little idea. I know it's probably not happening.

I know this is merely a theory you have but during that point in KH1 Vanitas was completely destroyed by Ventus. There's no way that he will ever return.

May 5, 201312 yr I've always liked to think that the Guardian was a physical manifestation of Xehanort's true self; sort of like an extension of his heart and soul. Something that represents what he is, and just exactly how dark his heart has become. If this is true, then we can probably expect to see more of it in the future; since Xehanort's heart is pretty much the main villain now.
May 5, 201312 yr I dunno, but the theories that I see here are pretty interesting. All I know is that it's bad. Very bad.
May 5, 201312 yr I think the guardian is some materialization of Terra. I have several reasons for it, none that I want to get into now, but it makes sense to me.
May 5, 201312 yr I believe that the Guardian is the manifestation of the darkness of MX, Terra and maybe Eraqus, since the Terranort heart was still unstable those darkness flowed out and merged into the guardian, the only sure thing that we have is that it is connected to the heart and memories of Terranort because when Terranort lost his memory and became "apprentice Xehanort" the guardian was disintegrated and only Ansem SoD (Terranort's heart) could use it not Xemnas (Terranort nobody).
May 5, 201312 yr i wanna know why it was reaching out towards riku. afterwards it just stops and disappears like "whatever" "Ain't nobody got time to possess you"
May 5, 201312 yr i wanna know why it was reaching out towards riku. afterwards it just stops and disappears like "whatever" "Ain't nobody got time to possess you" You mean in Dream Drop Distance? I believe it was because Riku's heart was too strong for it to defeat. Riku manages to ward it off, simply by raising his Keyblade. After battling with the darkness throughout the course of his journey, Riku finally overcomes it, and the Guardian--realizing that it cannot stand against him--admits defeat. It's one of the most powerful scenes in the game, and also one of my all-time favorites. Riku realizes he finally has the "strength to protect what matters." But on the subject of the Guardian. I've played around with several theories. For a long time I thought it might be Terra, or even Vanitas, as many of you have pointed out above. More likely than not, though, it could just be an extension of Xehanort's darkness--almost like the ugly blackness that lies at his hearts core manifesting itself in physical form. Perhaps it will always remain a mystery. Perhaps we'll learn more in KH3!

June 27, 201312 yr I think it was guarding the darkness in rikus heart since riku used light and darkness and when riku raised his keyblade it realized it was no longer needed
July 3, 201312 yr I know this is merely a theory you have but during that point in KH1 Vanitas was completely destroyed by Ventus. There's no way that he will ever return.Time travel. It worked with Xemnas and Ansem SoD so it would work with Vanitas.
Any theories on the Guardian?
