Gold and Silver are well known for including not only the Johto region but also the Kanto region. This has never been seen in another Pokemon game since. While newer games like BW2 have featured ways of battling old gym leaders it definitely isn't the same as actually going back to the region.

 

So, would you like to see an old region return in a newer pokemon game one day or prefer for it to be one region?

 

I'm a bit more indifferent towards there being to regions. If there's more than one, of course the second wouldn't get as much attention as the first and would take away a bit from the main region of the game. At the same time, it would provide a nice look at old regions with current pokemon graphics and seeing old gym leader gyms remodeled most likely.

It'll happen in Pokemon Rainbow, which will have every region from every game ever. Believe!

No. It made sense for GSC considering it was a true sequel to RBY, but after that every game has been independent from other generations.EDIT: UNLESS it introduced 2 whole new regions. That, I would be fine with.

I prefer 1 game being about 1 region.

We're still waiting on the Reconnect: Pokémon, featuring every last region.

I would prefer multiple regions, with a massive story that expands the both of them--making each area just as important as the last.

It's not a bad idea. I quite liked the G/S/C side. But with the current regions, I wouldn't like it. Unless its a huge journey covering ALL the regions. But it would be nice to see a new game with a pair of two new regions i think?

I loved having two regions in GSCHGSS and I won't mind if X&Y would have a second region

 

I think they can include Johto or Hoenn  or Sinnoh after finishing the Elite Four
