The Title is based on what the writer of the article wrote. I'm aware no company would market their competitors on purpose. 

But the title in the link isn't the same as your title.

 

Besides,you should've wrote the title in a much better way because this may loook misleading as if Microsoft is doing ads for Wii U

 

Also,Sony's stock went up,will you say that Microsoft sells Ps4 better than Sony or not because I don't see Sony being immune to criticisim

You should open the link and read the last sentence, I also wrote above the the link not to take this too seriously. Also, indirectly, Microsoft is selling it's competitor's product, because it thought its product would stand out and that back-fired, making its competitor's product seem better in comparison, that's all marketing is about, really. Its not doing it on purpose,
