I've found a pattern of the order of the games in terms of when they occured story wise.

Posted

From what we've seen this is the pattern:

BBS, KH1, COM, 358/2 Days, KH2, Coded, DDD, KH3.

Ignoring BBS since its a prequel, this is the order of the games released by category:

Numbered Title, Side Game, Side Game, Numbered Title, Side Game, Side Game, Numbered Title.

For every main title, there are 2 side games bridging it to the next numbered title. Maybe Square will keep this pattern in the next saga of KH?

But technically Days started before CoM

They could, depends on how much of the storyline they have to explain in other games.

I guess it's just coincidence but i'm sure we'll be seeing KH3 next in story anyways.

Coincidence for many reasons.

Well most of Days takes place after COM(Only the first 2 weeks of Days coincide with the ending of KH and the entirety of COM, so most of the year that Roxas was with the Organization took place after COM, so i count it as being pretty much after COM).

I usually placed them simultaneously on a timeline myself, just because there's so much confusion as to which one comes first, and since they technically occur at the same time at one point.

True, but look at it this way.

Days starts at Day 7, which takes place at the same time as COM. By the second week, Sora is placed into a deep sleep, causing Roxas to go into a coma for a week. THen the rest of Days occurs in that time after COM, which is pretty much the other 340 days until Roxas is captured by Riku. Then the last 7 days take place in the prologue of KH2. Due to the majority of the game taking place after COM, i just place it after COM.

.... did you call kh3d a side game?

hm, if so, i would have to disagree. but besides from that, nice theory

I love the incredibles

LOL, dude I've always been and thought that ever sense the release of KHDDD...

KH3D is a main title even though it isn't a number title. Nomura said so in an interview.
