Dio Brando 5,810 Posted November 27, 2012 (edited) Yeah but how come Tekken is an all star when it's also a multi platformer? Because all third Party characters was not fan demand,it was for commercial purposes: Heihachi in his Tag 2 young form to promote TTT2 Raiden for MGR DmC Dante to promote the new DmC and Big Daddy for Bioshock infinite there were never any fan polls to choose which 3rd party character will be in the game for Brawl: Nintendo made a poll that had: Megaman,Pac-Man Sonic and maybe Ryu if I remembered correctly. And Sonic won and made it to Brawl Solid Snake was in Brawl because Kojima wanted to put him in SSBM but the development was near end and he couldn't(Some of snake's codes are in Melee's disc). All 3rd party characters in PS All star are just there to say:Hey we came from other games that you'll be interested to buy And before you say I made that up.I've played all Smash Bros games and I've played PS All star and watched everything about it Edited November 27, 2012 by Metal Snake
Amon 4,279 Posted November 27, 2012 It's Smash Brothers with Playstation Character skins. Seriously, that's the only thing that sets it apart from being an exact copy of Smash Bros. Even the move sets for some of the characters are exactly the same for firetrucks sake.

Also, it's more skill based, because Nintendo hates the idea of a person who plays a game regularly having any sort of advantage over a first time player

I don't think there is a higher skill ceiling here. Also, when a range focused character is better off meleeing the whole time, you know something is wrong. There seems to be more technical characters, as well as less technical characters. Parappa, for example, is clearly meant to be an easy to use character, while Sly is meant to be more technical But yeah, I dunno, I personally was pleasantly surprised that it was more different from Smash Brosthan I expected. Granted, I didn't buy the game, and probably never will, but still
DragonMaster 1,166 Posted November 27, 2012 I think it looks decent (haven't actually played it). I'm not so sure about only being able to "kill" other characters by filling up a meter and using super attacks. It just doesn't sound like it would be fun. Again, though, I haven't actually played it, so maybe its more fun than it sounds*. I am glad that it was made into something that is not quite as much a clone of Smash Bros. as it initially appeared (if that makes any sense ...). *Perhaps the same could be said of Smash Bros., but I've actually played it, so I can't really give an opinion. razuthor72 89 Posted November 28, 2012 I just played it last night with a group of friends, it was fantastic! I really enjoyed it. As much as Melee? No, but super fun and cool characters. Playing with the Super meter actually adds a nice element of suspense to each kill. It sets itself apart from SSB and it's not a bad thing.

dusk 910 Posted December 7, 2012 Ordered game as Christmas present for my brothers. 35€ for this seems to be great deal and I have lacked these kinds of party games where you can have fun with your friends on same couch!
khfan02 56 Posted May 28, 2013 Ok I own the ps3 version of playstation allstars battle royale and I've ranked up and earned costumes for every character so far. This week I'm about to get the Vita and get Allstars for that system as well. Now I wanna know if I cross save my data from the ps3 to the vita will my vita version automatically have the costumes and ranks? I don't want to level Raiden and Kat all over again.
