Posted May 30, 201312 yr Seriously, its SO NECCESARY TO THE GAMEPLAY, AND EVERY KH GAME EXCEPT FOR THE REGULAR VERSION OF THIS GAME HAS IT. Nomura just trolled us all back then.
May 30, 201312 yr I was disappointed about that, too. Dodge Roll's one of my favorite abilities in KH, it was sad to see it gone.
May 30, 201312 yr Author Dodge roll would be too op in the regular kh2. It was too OP in KH2FM. The Sliding Dash that Wisdom form gave(Or was it Master? I forget) wasn't NEARLY AS GOOD as dodge roll.

May 30, 201312 yr Author Wisdom. Master gave Areal Dodge, Valor was High Jump, and Final was Forum Boost's Right. Wait, wasn't the move that Final gave you GLIDE? Not Form boost?
May 30, 201312 yr Right. Wait, wasn't the move that Final gave you GLIDE? Not Form boost? Oh, that was the side ability Final Level Ups gave you Glide and Forum Boost, if I recall.
May 30, 201312 yr Author Oh, that was the side ability Final Level Ups gave you Glide and Forum Boost, if I recall. Yep.
May 30, 201312 yr Well back then there the only games were Kingdom Hearts 1 and Chain of memory so they were probably just testing some new ideas, maybe to make the game a bit harder, maybe they though that it was too easy to dodge attack and they wanted the player to focus more on blocking attacks instead. I didn't knew about the dodge roll returning in the Final mix version, that's awesome, which mean that we'll be able to dodge roll in KH 2.5,that's Great.
May 30, 201312 yr Dodge roll was in Kingdom Hearts 2, it was the reaction command for the Minute Bomb
May 31, 201312 yr its so helpful in Critcal mode kh2fm.i used to think magic was usless in kh2 till kh2fm crital

Yeah, except you don't normally get Dodge Roll as one of the many abilities you normally get, you have to get it through Drive forms. There's a new drive form in KH2FM called Limit Form(I HIGHLY HOLD IT AS THE BEST DRIVE FORM, ON PAR WITH FINAL) which makes you like KH1 Sora, only ALOT BETTER. You gain Sora's old clothes, and a crown, but are able to use the limits from KH1, but WAY MORE BUFFED UP(You can use Sonic Blade, Ragnarok, Ars Arcanum, and Strike Raid, which lets you throw the keyblade 5 times like in KH1). Also, each hit that the Limits make, restore your HP, even if it doesn't hurt the enemy, all it has to do is go through them. Also, if you guard successfully, there's automatically a counter you can use by pressing X, it lets you do Zantetsuken, which is really powerful. It even has a ripple drive finisher move at the end of its combo. To get Dodge Roll, you have to level up Limit Form, and as you level it up, the better Dodge Roll becomes, and once its maxed out, you have a really useful version of DG, which lets you roll farther and faster than you could in KH1. Its really useful for Critical and Proud. its so helpful in Critcal mode kh2fm.i used to think magic was usless in kh2 till kh2fm crital What made you change you're mind about Magic?

June 4, 201312 yr Author Large Bodys and a few i cant remeber Oh ok. I'm glad they added it in KH2FM. I missed it. Same here. It's not the same without Dodge Roll.
June 7, 201312 yr I just know that once we get the HD remaster of KH2 FM which is most likely just another year away, I'm definitely not worrying about Wisdom Form and I'm just gonna level Limit for the Dodge Roll instead. I much prefer rolling to avoid over sidestepping with Quick Slide.
June 8, 201312 yr I'm such a whore with dodge roll I never really got over the lack of it in KH2. I spent most of the game waiting for it to give it to me so i could finally enjoy it fully.I don't care if it does nothing at all, if i can roll out of the way, im happy
