Electronic Arts recently on its Facebook and Twitter pages have teased what seems to be a mashup of Plants vs. Zombies and Mass Effect: something called Grass Effect. They also tantalized something called Dead Face, which appears to bring Dead Space along for the ride as well.

The posts include taglines like “Zombies on Tau Volantis!” and ”Plants vs. … Reapers?” and include the #EAE3 hashtag, hinting that we’ll get a closer look at the game next month. Speculation says it could be a minigame or that rumored 3D PvZ game. EA’s E3 press conference is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET on June 10. We’ll be covering all the E3 news as it comes, so be sure to check back often.

It was going to be Spring this year then was moved back to summer. EA has popcap so there's no telling if this is supposed to be the sequel, the sequel will still come in summer or if it was dropped entirely.
