Pointless back and forth conversation...

Verdict: No patch needed. The exploit isn't even broken because you can EASILY stop them from doing it. It's not Pac-man's fault so he doesn't need a fix (especially since he's pretty bad as is). Plus, the longer it's used, the more often it's recognized, meaning Pac-man teams that use the exploit (it only works in teams) get banned for it. By the way, if you're gonna do For Glory, just do 1v1s. That's all that matters in For Glory anyway. I play For Fun, personally.

The point isn't if it's beatable. The point is if it makes the game impossible to play if pulled off correctly.

 

Sakurai will patch things with the casuals in mind. He will probably patch this if he thinks it will ruin online.

 

Since the average casual would never know about this, they wouldn't know how to counter this strategy. Therefore, it ruins the game.

 

In the eyes of casuals, this is game breaking.

 

You won't see what the opponent picked until it's too late and the match started. So they can't even counter with R.O.B. if they knew about it. And I'm sure as hell not going to rematch them just to try and beat them at that exploit.

Sure you can ask for a ban, but I'm near positive it won't permanently ban them, if they even ban them at all. Others will keep using the strategy, and it will keep happening.

i named a way. i really dont want to sound negative or argumental but i do think it should not be left in. even if it could be stopped (with rob and characters that can escalate only) people still will try them and in most cases succeed because not many characters can go that high to hit pac man. im sorry if this turned into an argument. i really didnt want to start a fight even less fuel it.

I never said it's a good thing,but I can't honestly think of a way outside of outright removing Pac-Man's Up B which will be stupid

 

Also,it took people 3 months to discover that about Pac-Man despite the 3DS version being out for three months now?

I always use a fighter with a counter move against Captain Falcon, but for any other fighter, full on blocking (not dodging) works the best, because there's a slight lag after his attacks which gives you a good window to strike back, but if you dodge you lose that window. (at least from I've seen time and time again playing against Captain Falcon)

I find the best way to handle him is by using a fast character like ZSS or Sonic to match his speed and keep up with him. Speed Shulk works great with this too. Someone with a counter will work good too, but i think you'd rather need a fast char. for this match up.

This right here. Captain Falcon has some of the laggiest moves in Sm4sh. If he whiffs, you punish him hard.

 

I'm actually kind of salty how laggy his moves are in this game. Legend has it Captain Falcon is still landing after he missed a knee.

IDK if im getting Robin and Lucina yet (although, again, they dont look all that good, given they're realistic looking characters, but i can deal), definitely wanna get Charizard and possibly Ness (both look great given they're more cartoon like), and Pac-Man and Wario...Not really interested, sorry. 

 

Also is it just me, or does the Bowser amiibo under the Super Mario Series kind of look a bit better than Smash Bros. Bowser? I like both, but i think the new one makes him look better TBH.

Yeah, i don't blame you. It's pretty freaking bad. I mean, the only Amiibo that i wanted out of Wave 1 or 2 was Fox honestly, and he got discontinued. I don't wanna import him/buy him online when it should be reasonable enough to buy him at a freaking store. -__-

Apparently Shulk's out of pre-orders. If that one rumor's true, Gamestop's only going to supply for pre-orders... That was pretty much the breaking point for me.

I doubt it. That's why pre-orders exist. To ensure you get a copy of the item. Like today, I preordered the $250 Collector's Edition for Halo 5 just so I knew I had it before it closed out.

Probably Lucina, but of course they have to mess up somewhere, and happens to be the worst place to; the face. I think the eyes looking like doll faces is the issue. Guess if I do buy her, it's for the functions, again. >_>
