Nintendo has just announced the next entry in the Super Smash Bros series!!

So Ness and Lucina  are gonna cost me $60 together if I import them from Japan. This isn't necessarily a bad deal, but when you consider the fact that the 5 good ones I was originally getting from the set (before Jigglypuff was added on) was gonna cost me $70 (that's with tax) through in store preorders, that's actually pretty sad. Imagine the DLC amiibo. They'll come out of the blue and cost us way more than any other amiibo because they weren't necessarily ever supposed to happen.

 

And it appears Sonic is doing poorly as an amiibo. You can import him for less than $10.

I'm having serious doubts. Wave 3 we got lucky on as they actually lasted a few months before the craze happened mid-January. But from this point on, I'm positive Nintendo's only going to get worse from here.

I want at least one Yarn Yoshi and by time those are a thing, I doubt we'll be able to do anything about it. Then we have the Splatoon 3 Pack which is also sold out I believe. I can't stand that there's an issue with something this big that I have to worry about whether or not work is getting in the way of my chances of pre-ordering them and that's a load of bullshit at that point.

Square's also ditched Nintendo's home consoles with a lot of their biggest franchises at this point, which is why I doubt a Square character could get in. A character from the Enix side of the company (Dragon Quest) would make more sense. Of course, like you said, they're not on the same level as Ubisoft... I'd love to see Rayman, but after Ubisoft's crap, I don't think it's ever going to happen.

I initially voted for Sor,a but I voted for Wolf as well, he's cool I would play as him again. How many people voted for Wold, anyway? Also, what if Hoopa was voted on to be a DLC character?

Someone on Reddit did a poll regarding who people voted for in the Smash ballot. There are plenty of joke characters (Shrek, Gabe Newell) and characters who won't make it in for various reasons (Sora, Ridley), but it does give a good idea of what people have voted for. It's obviously not taking every single vote into account, but I'd imagine it's an accurate reflection of who people are voting for.

Pretty exciting to see Waluigi doing better than Roy on this poll at least. Roy has an entire website dedicated to having him in Smash 4. I'm really hoping Tetra isn't flopped in with the Toon Zelda on the list, as those two would be totally different in the Smash titles.

Playing Online in the For Fun section. Not even a minute in, I swapped from stacking Pit's damage to taking a 30% Fox into a quick combo KO. He could not escape. Also kept a huge lead for the match, winning with a +4 with two people finishing in 2nd at -1. My Toon Link isn't ever For Fun.

The facebook page didn't say only Nintendo characters,they said which Nintendo character because their page is about a Nintendo product so it makes sense but that doesn't mean a confirmation that only Nintendo characters can be voted for

I seriously doubt you'll have to worry about third party characters. If any third party gets added in, I'd like for it to be Klonoa though.

One of the readers has reached out to Nintendo of America and a representative has confirmed that any video game character is eligible for the Super Smash Bros DLC. You can vote for Banjo, Rayman, Bayonetta, and any other character of your choice. Here’s the email response.

the problem really is all the legal hurdles you have to go through with Disney and their licensing rules especially since their licenses nowadays are unbelievably expensive(which is the reason why Capcom couldn't continue Marvel Vs Capcom anymore since they couldn't pay Disney for the marvel license anymore)

Well, it was different with Sora and Riku, it was for story reasons. But then again, there's always Sora beating up every disney villain, and Donald and Goofy always alongside him beating them up, lol. But i guess they didn't want crap like Cinderella and Belle bitch slapping each other, lol.
