After finally playing a Smash game, (two in fact, original and Brawl), my excitement for this has increased ten fold. And I was already pretty excited.

I've got a lot of practice to do before I'm ready to take you guys on when it comes out though, because I am a basic bitch.

I play for fun, but im still pretty good at the game. I own most of the people i play with at my library these days, and they've played almost as long as i have. Ive practiced alot. To be fair though, ive only practiced Brawl really, never had the chance to play Melee or 64, so i'm not used to how fast Melee would probably play. Itll take some adjusting in Smash 4 since its gonna be faster than brawl but slower than melee.

If you want practice but dont wanna pull out your 64 or Wii(Or GC) then i recommend Super Smash Flash 2, its pretty close to playing an actual smash game i think.

No worries man, I've played all Smash games and I'm still not hardcore or pro at it. I just enjoy playing it for what it is.

Me too. :D

its not so much being hardcore or pro as it is being able to hold your own.

I guess you can look at it that way.

Super Hold Back Month!  Looks like we gotta wait these next 5 weeks out till E3 to see anything exciting. Can you believe E3 is only 5 weeks away?

My wallet is going to suffer among the preorders and May releases, ranging from MK 8 to SSB4, to figures. Speaking of which, those stuff (except SSB for obvious reasons) will keep me occupied while waiting for e3, but meanwhile these next 2-3 weeks will be boring.

Edit: Well screw my wallet, now Omega Ruby exist.

Alright, theory time: I'm guessing that guessing that this guy (can't remember his name) is actually a new character, and Sakurai is posting this picture simply to mess with us, like he's done before.

I hope not...It seems very likely that that's the plan with Wonderful Red (at least I believe that's what fans call him, never played the game).

I hope WonderRed is playable...or at the very least Bayonetta

So this is official? Damn. xD Didnt think i'd be seeing someone from Wonderful 101 as a trophy in smash bros.

Mega Man looks like he'll be one of the best characters in the game.  His Final Smash, OMG, do I need to say more? X_X

Got this off the smash bros facebook

Uniting three parts will complete the legendary Air Ride machine…the Dragoon! It's back! But we didn't just leave it the way it was, and added some nice touches to the design of the targeting screen. It is, of course, in stereoscopic 3D on the 3DS. Here's also a screen of the Dragoon itself.

We saw this coming, but it's still very nice seeing the new design of the targeting screen.

Holy crap, the new targeting screen looks amazing. :D

Super Smash Bros director Masahiro Sakurai has been on hand to divulge details on fan favourite fighter Charizard. While many of his daily Miiverse posts have reiterated details seen in the Smash Bros Direct, which was aired last month, some have displayed new details, albeit minuscule ones. In today’s post on Nintendo’s social networking channel, Sakurai has confirmed the much speculated Final Smash for Charizard – and, as expected, it’s Mega Charizard X.

Along with the confirmation, the game’s director has shown off Charizard’s new special attack, Flare Blitz, which can be seen in the Wii U screenshot above. When the move is used in Smash Bros a certain amount of recoil damage is taken, just the same as if you were to use the move in a Pokemon game. Here’s what Sakurai said in his Miiverse post:

“Here’s Charizard’s new special attack, Flare Blitz. It’s a very powerful attack–however, you’ll take recoil damage if you make contact. Pretty true to the original game, huh? Flare Blitz is Charizard’s side special move, and Rock Smash is the down special move.”

Here's the Flare Blitz pic.

It's pretty much confirmed that Mega Evolution is a Final Smash now. Kinda depressing...

RIP Kamehameha Lucario. So all will just be generic power ups? Indeed lame.

What would be better is that they need to activate Mega Evolution with one Smash Ball and another to use their Final.

Well who knows? Maybe we'll get lucky and custom movesets will allow us to change our final smashes, and we can have the old Kamehameha for Lucario and something new for Charizard. That's what im hoping for anyway. I really dont wanna see Lucas or Ness have PK Starstorm again........

I dun think we'll be seeing Lucas again. Ness will return nonetheless. PK Starstorm may return, but it may have changed. We dunno yet. I dunno if we'll be able to customize final smashes, but it doesn't seem entirely necessary, while all the same it would be cool.

Im trying to be optimistic, and so are fellow Mother fans. Besides, it wouldnt be fair that the Mother series only has one character returning, while most of the franchises represented in Smash have 2 or more (Im sure there's gonna be a second FE character at least). I doubt there are really any other good substitutes for Lucas(except Masked Man and Jeff), not to mention he's the main character of the most recent game. It may have changed, but i kinda doubt it. There's not much they can do to alter it.

I hope so, alot of Fighting games have the option to customize finishers, and since Smash 4 is getting a customizable moveset option confirmed, i think its possible, even if it isnt entirely likely.
