Would be surprising if Jenna Coleman reprise her role as Melia in super smash bros either as a playable character, assist trophy or in Shulk's trailer.

Shulk can be in the game heck Xenoblade has been getting a lot of push lately especially after Xenoblade Chronicles's success on the Wii back in 2012

 

Putting Shulk in Smash Bros will introduce a lot of new fans to the series and in turn give it the same boost that Fire Emblem got in Melee and Kid Icarus got in Brawl

 

Also,Palutena,which btw was on the same leaked list as Shulk,was confirmed so there is a high chance that the list is true

I have no doubts the leak is true. This dude leaked Wii Fit Trainer, Pac-Man, Mega Man, Villager, Miis, Little Mac, Palutena...all before Smash was announced last year. Then he goes to leak Chorus Men, Shulk, and Chrom. Dude has not been proven wrong at all to this point.

 

He also leaked Greninja, but that's the only one that was weird, due to the fact that saying Pokemon from XY is very generic.

The only reason Shulk's announcement never happened at E3 is because the 3DS version got pushed back from sometime within the next couple weeks/next month, to October. No point in revealing all the hype for something we won't be seeing till 3-4 months later.

To be fair, they showed Palutena at E3, who's a way more popular character than Shulk likely will ever be. They're not afraid to build the hype for this one.

But everyone already expected her to be there. She had 3DS image leaks, while the rest are all word-of-mouth. Pac-Man was really expected because of Namco's collaboration on this title, but having yet to see him made the reveal all the more exciting. They still dun wanna hype everything before its release though.

That could also relate to the leaks. Most of those characters were kind of expected, honestly. The only one who wasn't was Wii Fit Trainer.

There is really no need for pessimism

 

Shulk has a huge chance to appear in Smash Bros if only for the fact he has a second game that's gonna be released next year and that his existence in Smash Bros 4 will give it a big marketing boost like what happened with Fire Emblem and Kid Icarus

 

Before Brawl Pit was never popular at all yet Sakurai chose to include him in Brawl which in turn gave us Kid Icarus Uprising later

 

It's just only a matter of time before they confirm Shulk in either a second Smash Bros Direct or a normal episode of Nintendo Direct
