Apparently the demos that Microsoft showed at E3 weren't being powered by the Xbox One itself but by computers 3x times faster than the Xbox.

 

Okay this is just getting silly now.

The Xbox One might not be able to be sold used, they are refusing to comment on it, which seems a bit strange.

I think if people really like the exclusives where they basically need the system to follow their favourite franchises, that's all well and good, or someone really cares about getting tv apps, but for people who are choosing it just 'cause they liked the 360 and are using the most trivial reasons to say it's better than the PS4 (I actually read someone saying "Who cares that they're watching us we don't need privacy".  Obviously they're doggers), I'd be happy if they got literally a case, full of rocks.  

The real Xbox 1 wasn't that bad, and the 360 was good too. Now I really hate Microdick.

Does anybody know if the Sony demos were on PS4's, or did they have similar setups to Microsoft's? Regardless, this isn't very good optics for Microsoft...why not just run the games on the console? They are excellent at nurturing this negative narrative. Every time the news is suspicious or bad, it simply adds to Sony's lead.

Maybe... they want to lose?  Maybe it's all an elaborate plan to make the worse console imaginable... so people will buy Microsoft Gaming PCs instead of joining in the 8th Gen consoles?

guys, all companies do this even nintendo and sony. because the console isn't finished yet they have to emulate it which takes a shit-ton of power thus requiring titan graphics cards..... you guys need to stop witch hunting microsoft so much, I don't like the xbox either but this is getting ridiculous.

these guys really are unbelievable, the 360 could par with ps3 on the most part, how could microsoft slip this much!?, but i havent even made a console and already feel like i have done better than microsoft, they crushed peoples hopes and made a bad show at e3, i didnt let anyone down so i win

Here's what I think it is; they don't care about the optics in the eyes of the gamers. We're a tiny segment of the audience they are now targeting. They want the casual demographic, they want the tv watcher and the people who don't really follow this stuff, because there's a lot more of those people. If they can expand their install base to include more of the nongaming crowd, then it doesn't matter if gamers all go with a different console. The sheer amount of nongamers will make them profitable.

 

It's sort of what Nintendo did with the Wii, only Microsoft is misteping; instead of making their console as open and available as possible, they've priced it higher than Sony's and required an internet connection for the thing to work. It's the same arrogance Sony showed at the start of last generation, they're banking too heavily on the name Xbox. When the average consumer hits the shelves, they're going to see one console for $500 and one for $400. If neither have a killer app at launch, then why would they buy the more expensive one?
