Is the 3DS region locked? Unless it's different for Europeans because I swear I have an american RE: Coded which works just fine on my 3DS.

Heck yes I'm signing!  I'm depressed I won't be able to buy any games for my 3DS while in Japan.

DS games are not region locked, so they'll work just fine on any 3DS regardless of what region it is.

Yeah it is, but I don't think DS games are region locked

I'll sign. I hate region locking.

Lol you guys seriously think hope for Nintendo to recognize this petition? Sorry to burst your bubbles but companies like Nintendo don't pay attention to things like that so signing a petition for something like this is a waste of time. Petitions barely work and get noticed.

Geez tails, why ya gotta be so negative. Anyways, yeah it may not work, but I see no harm in trying lool

Even though region locking isn't a problem for me I signed this just cuz.

The problem with Nintendo is that they use their own special type of Blu-ray Discs. Not the the normal type of Blu-ray Discs used by the PS3, PS4, all Blu-ray players & the Xbox One.

For the PS3, PS4, Blu-ray players & Xbox One it's the distributors decision whether or not the Blu-ray Disc will be region free or not.

Not trying to be negative. Just saying that you shouldn't expect this to work since Nintendo will ignore things like this. If you really want Nintendo to notice something like region locking systems and games then I suggest have people post comments about it on their YouTube channel, Miiverse, Twitter, ect. That's the best way you can get their attention.

I guess since Microsoft dropped their regoin lock, you guys are trying it with Nintendo. Good luck.

As much as i hate to admit it, Nintendo doesn't give a shit when it comes to petitions. I should know. Us Mother/Earthbound fans have tried these many times, and they never work. its really pointless.

Yes, they can be dicks at times.

Parental controls... Pfff hahaha like kids these days have their parents do this. I bet only a handful bother activating it.

Nintendo has terrible reasons as to why they won't:

"From some people’s perspective, it might seem like a kind of restriction. However, we hope people can appreciate the fact that we’re selling our products worldwide," Iwata told me, acknowledging that Nintendo has "historically" worked with region-locked systems. "There are many different regions around the world, and each region has its own cultural acceptance and legal restrictions, as well as different age ratings. There are always things that we're required to do in each different region, which may go counter to the idea that players around the world want the freedom to play whatever they want."

Yeah really, like no one cares about parental controls...and the parents who do are the minority

I signed the petition but if this issue really wanted to get noticed they should flood the Miiverse again like they did to get Earthbound released in the West.

Also didn't petitions and fan demand make NoA release Xenoblade, The Last Story and Pandora's Tower? I think Nintendo do listen if fans scream loud enough.
