Welcome to the MAIFSUST (Pronounced MAYF-SUST) (Moves/Area/Item/Friendship/Sky (Day & Night)/Unique (Conditions)/Stones/Trading/) Pokémon Tournament!
This tournament will consist of Pokémon that evolve through a certain method, and not by leveling. In other words, Pokémon who evolve by Day/Night, Evolutionary Stones, Area effects or more are allowed into the tournament! This also includes Pokémon that need to know a move in order to evolve (Yanma => Yanmega).
You will be using this site to create your team, and battle other competitors in this tournament in "Custom Match".
NOTE: Tournament is now finally over and the winner is Meganman X! Hope you all enjoyed and wish you would join next months tournament!

~Rule and Restrictions~
- MUST be a Pokémon that evolves through a special method, you cannot use Pokémon who evolve normally by reaching a certain level, NOR any Pokémon that do not evolve or evolve from a certain Pokémon, like Ditto.
- If the opponent doesn't show up and doesn't battle till a certain Round deadline, then you will be promoted to the next round.
- We will use "Custom Match" when we battle in the tournament due to the restrictions in "OU", but you can use "OU" to practice against other strangers on the site.
- Be sure to tell me whether you can't battle ASAP and don't wait it out till the very end to tell me, if you do we then have to disqualify you and promote your opponent. If you are able to battle a bit after the deadline, and depending on how the tournament is going, then I will allow you to still battle.
- You must fill out the sign out sheet.

~Personal Tips~
- If you want to practice to make sure you team is decent enough, you can go down two routes. OU, aka Over Used, is where you would battle and practice with strangers on the site. It will help to let you know what you need to improve on and what is working well. The problem with OU is the fact they can choose Pokémon that aren't qualified for the MAIFSUST Pokémon Tournament. It still shouldn't be too much of a hassle though. The second route, is which we are going to use in this tournament, is "Custom Match" which will only be allowed when you battle with other users directly. Like if you go down to the list of members and challenge them, it will appear as an option. Use the match on other competitors in this Tournament. I suggest only using it only on the competitors and practicing with them because not only are they using Pokémon qualified for this tournament, but they know not to use Legendaries unlike other users on the site. The backfire is, that your strategy will probably be well-known to the other opponent, and if you apparently get to battle with them with the same team, then chances are you might lose because you will get predictable.
- Strategy! MAIFSUST is so much like OU since they acquire strategy! It's different from last months tournament which surrounded LC since LC is a total different metagame. So practice with your teams to know your strategy is perfect, whether its random strangers in OU or other competitors in Custom Match. You'll be needing walls (meaning Pokémon who can take so many hits), parahaxers (Poison/Paralysis/Sleeping/Flinching/etc.), speedy sweepers (Fast hitters), and probably Pokémon surround themselves with amazing abilities-item combo (Poison Heal + Toxic Orb = amazing healing per turn), ability-attack combo (Thunder Punch + Iron Fist = Boosted Punching moves) or even ability-surroundings (Swift Swim + Rain Dance = Super Speed).
- If you want to go for boosting your stats but your Pokémon can't take any hits, apply Focus Sash with it. Focus Sash, if your Pokémon has full health, makes the opponents attack make your health go to 1 instead of 0. Imagine you use Shell Smash and then the opponent attacks and makes your health go to 1. You will get so much Speed, Attack, and Special Attack from that move than you'll be to sweep and attack every Pokémon. But it is all up to you!
- Type disadvantage and advantage is very useful, it will work.
- I do reccomend practicing a lot, it will get you to at least beyond the First and probably even the Second Round. Me and Megaman X, in the last tournament, practiced A LOT together and we got into the Finals. So don't think it is useless!
- You can have up to 4 different teams. We have First Round, Second Round, Semifinals, and Finals, so a team for each round will suffice. You don't have to use 4 teams, you can use as many teams as you want but 4 is the limit.
- Switch in and out your Pokémon a lot wisely and make tons of predictions!
- Don't get angry that you lose, sure you can be like "Damnit I lost" but don't take it personal and ruin it for everyone else. You can joke around, but if you are serious about it then you can't join future tournaments.
Hope you enjoy the tournament! Any questions and tips and I will happily help you through this thread OR PM!
