Its been like, half a year since i Platinumed the game, and i recently saw gameplay of the DLC fights, it made me realize how much i loved XIII-2, and the fights look pretty challenging and fun. Im leaning towards the side of buying all the DLC fights, but i want your guy's opinions on what i should do.

BTW I love the gameplay of XIII-2, so im ok with them being all fights and little story. :D

I've never played XIII-2, but the Gilgamesh fight looks awesome. If I ever do end up getting it (Not sure if I will, gameplay looks super confusing ._.) I'd probably get at least the Gilgamesh one.

Eh... I found, having lightning to be the only interesting one to have.

Yes if you love challenges buy the character dlc only and maybe a weapon or so omega comes on handy for a little bit, while lightnings battle was hard at first to beat god, and the rest are fun as well i suggest you do

I never buy dlc unless I REALLY like the game,so if you REALLY like XIII-2 then you should totally buy them and the Lightning,Gilgamesh and the Ultros fight looks cool.

I personally wouldn't buy them even if I had the game because I'm totally against the idea to give SquareEniextra money for bosses that could have easily been in the game for free, but that's just me.

Trust me Axel, the gameplay IS ANYTHING BUT CONFUSING. The game eases you into it, and its really simple. You should DEFINITELY GET IT. Seriously.

Tahnks for the feedback. i dont need any DLC Weapons for the fights, since i have the strongest weapons(the Odin ones that get powerful when you get more fragments) thanks to me platinuming the game.

It looks so complicated though... I've been considering getting XIII-2 when I get a PS3, but I don't really know.

It isn't complicated. TRUST ME. Its like any other FF game, its a typical JRPG. Trust me.

You just switch paradigms to get a different set of moves suited to what you need at any point in battle. Commando is for attacking normally, Ravager is for attacking with Magic, Saboteur is for doing Debuff spells, Synergist is for doing Buff up spells, Sentinel is for defending, and Medic is for healing. Its that simple.

Enemies have a stagger bar, which fills when you attack normally, but fills alot faster when you use Magic. When the enemy is staggered, you do ALOT MORE DAMAGE TO THEM, and they can't do anything to fight back(except for one DLC boss, which can still attack you even if its staggered) as you can juggle them. The stagger bar empties slowly when the enemy is staggered, and once its completely empty, the enemy can fight again. You use the stagger bar to your advantage to do MASSIVE DAMAGE to the enemy.

Ohter then those things, its pretty much like a normal RPG.

It's all the menus and stuff that's giving me second thoughts. If it's that simple, why does the battle menu need to be so huge? ._.

Because there are ALOT OF ABILITIES AND MOVES TO USE LIKE IN ANY OTHER RPG. That's why. Its really simple though, trust me. If it gets to confusing for you, just use Auto Battle when you fight, it chooses moves for you. Its useful when yuo dont know what to do.

It might just be that I've never really played a modern turn based RPG on a console, but it looks really confusing... I'll take your word for it, though. When I get a PS3, I'll probably go see if my library has a copy or something so I can try it out before I decide if I actually want to buy it.

Thanks, you won't regret it. Its worth your money.

Get Requiem of The Goddess. The Lightning DLC, it finishes the story of FFXIII-2 and sets the stage for LR:FFXIII
