July 13, 201312 yr I was spazzing out too much yesterday to post anything He's a flying squirrel Hiccup
July 13, 201312 yr The books were so entertaining and funny, unfortunately the movie went against everything the book ever did. they didnt fight the dragons, they trained them and also they didnt fear the dragons, they were supposed to be more like pets like in the book. i think they should have called the film "how to hunt dragons" because it really made them out to be the bad guys and to be feared. not looking forward to this at all, they should be more loyal to the fantastic book series.
July 13, 201312 yr Since I didn't ever knew or read the books until Eternal replied, I loved the movie and I'm anxious to this.

I mean, they fought off a few of the dragons, but they did eventually train them, and they eventually treated them like pets. Comment from another website about Hiccup: "From shota to sempai"

Comment from another website about Hiccup: "From shota to sempai" i know, but by the end of the film they hadnt even fully accepted them, the book was miles better. the movie was still entertaining in its own right just would have been better if it was closer to the book. I felt that the hatred and fear the villages natives held for the dragons for the bulk of the film kind of went against the whole idea of what the book series represented unfortunately... it was still a good film, just didnt feel right is all

Maybe because they were called "Dragons" and most of them were like little salamanders with wings. I like the large, dangerous dragons story of the movie better than the books. Normally this is the opposite for me.
July 13, 201312 yr Seriously, you all be shocked at the end of this trailer : Just because he got older? Jeez, it doesn't take much to shock you does it? I guess since now there's been a huge time gap, the TV series on CN will end now. Oh well. Why? Because he got older, which isn't THAT SHOCKING.

July 13, 201312 yr I think the shock value is that our teenage years aren't always kind, but in his case, they were. True, and now he looks like he's pretty much 17 or 18 and is a young adult now.
July 13, 201312 yr Precisely. He almost look different... That's kind of what I meant from the beginning. Why is that so shocking that he aged? People age. So what. Also, he barely looks any different at all.
July 14, 201312 yr Author That's kind of what I meant from the beginning. Why is that so shocking that he aged? People age. So what. Also, he barely looks any different at all. Exactly, lol~
July 16, 201312 yr Can't wait but what happen to his left foot ? Did you see the end of the first movie? He lost his foot at the end of the battle with the Red Death when he fell into the fire. When Hiccup wake up he sees that his foot is gone and hobbles out of the house using Toothless to balance.
