There was a post made of recent that states that KHIII should be the end of the franchise. I don't think this will happen, and although I am one of the people that don't want this to end up as some money making scheme by Square, I don't really want to end the series itself. The Xehanort Saga? Yes. Xehanort has been beaten so many times that you think he would just die and die for real already, and yes KH3D made perfect sense to me, and I know how Xehanort is alive and kicking. But, Xehanort has had his share of butt whoops, now it's time for another villain to arise, with a completely new goal. And not with Sora to stand in his way, but another hero that will have his own story, no ties to Sora, and his own will and personality. I personally think that Square has done an excellent job with Final Fantasy, and I don't think they're "milking it" just for money. If they could just let go of the excellency of the past KH games and move on to another untold story, whether it be in the past or the future, and make a new world and give it a completely original story, I think that the series would make it into it's 20+ year and still be an amazing franchise that will make money, but won't survive just because of it. Kingdom Hearts has one main story that I think would make a perfect game, may it be only one: the Keyblade War. If you have played KHBBS, then you will understand how when Xehanort talks of it, it makes you wonder what it was like. This, my friends, cannot be the end of Kingdom Hearts. Kingdom Hearts 3 has not arrived yet, so it is not completely correct to assume that it would not be right to end the series, but it will leave an empty hole in your heart until the faint memory of KH blinks out, and you will forget how wonderful and amazing this series was.
