Is there any hope left for a Megaman game anymore?

Posted

Okay,I'm still very happy about Megaman's inclusion in Smash Bros .But after seeing Comic Con I have to say:Dude, the anniversary is almost at it's end and we're only few months away before Megaman's 26th anniversary and still nothing announced on the gaming side of Megaman, again I appreciate the release of the Gameboy games, but after the promises that they say the anniversary really kicks in after MM6.....it comes out to me as padding,it seems to me that they don't know if they have something to celebrate for or not and they pad out the anniversary with those rereleases until we get to December and still nothing happened.I don't talk about MML3 here I'm talking Megaman in general. They said SF anniversary was over....only for them to further celebrate it with a 4th version, and we still got nothing new other than X in Project X Zone and Megaman in Smash Bros.

Seriously they themselves said once the SF anniversary ends the Megaman anniversary begins....but instead it's more and more Street Fighter and we still haven't got a single Megaman game since 2010 aside from a fan game.

This padding is getting reaaaally annoying.I thought that after MM6 we can finally have a real celebration....but not even that...not even a freakin cake. All of what they did with Megaman this year is giving him to Sakurai to take care of him for Smash Bros.

I'm trying to grasp on every bit of hope I can find, but Capcom currently is doing nothing, showing nothing but more and more merchandise to the point Toys R Us won't be able to contain all of them.

Uhhh for God's sake please Nintendo take Megaman already

I agree with everything you said. To Crapcom, Megaman is dead and that we may never see another game from them aside from ports of past titles. I really wish Nintendo would just buy Megaman already. they would do a much better job with taking care of the blue bomber than Crapcom has been doing lately.

I think the only hope for them is for Nintendo to pull a Bayonetta with Megaman

Nintendo might bring Megaman back but maybe a remake.

Its really weird coming from a company as greedy as Capcom. You'd think they'd bring a new Mega Man game every year just to make some easy cash, but for some reason they don't,its like saying that Activition stop making Call of Duty or Nintendo selling Mario and Zelda to Microsoft or Sony.

But my hopes are not entirely down,I'm sure we'll get a new Megaman game someday.

Ive always had a feeling that nintendo was edging quit alot of interest in mega man and implying a buy somewhere in the near future, but maybe im just fooling myself. either way: NINTEN'DOES WHAT CAP'CANT

I hope that Capcom releases a few zMegaman X games about the  Elf Wars.

And by someday you mean 2100

And by someday you mean 2100

lol,I sure hope they won't wait that long

I'm surprised you guys have some faith in Capcom making something for its anniversary. As for me, I've lost it in general years ago.

I do want a game set after Star Force.

It would be nice if Nintendo bought Megaman from Capcom... Megaman has no place to stay anymore. Dx

I'd rather see a 4. The whole BN->SF time was already having a bit of a plothole or two. Unless you did mean by 4 or a new separate universe.

Nintendo should really just buy the IP from Capcom but they won't because Capcom seem like the type of people who won't sell. After Keiji Inafune left Capcom they've kinda just been like, "neh" to the series.
