What the title says: after this saga is over and done with, and you magically obtain the job of writing the next game, with Nomura giving you his utmost approval, (and with KHIII ending however you feel like), what do you write for the next story of Kingdom Hearts?

 

Hit me with your best plot.

Just wanted to say, this is a great idea Dave.  Perhaps you have some plot ideas of your own you could share?

Anyways, any plot I'd come up with would be horrible, nonsensical, and just overall bad, so I'd rather not come up with a plot haha.

Yeah, same.  Anything I think of won't feel right.  It's too abstract to think about at this point in time, because technically, we're thinking of what will happen for two stories: KH3 and 4.

I would have said Time Travel, but that has already been used.

 

How about KHIII ends with Sora, the perfectly ordinary boy with three hearts, doing perfectly ordinary things like opening magical doors, merging with Kingdom Hearts itself (you know Japanese people love it when their characters fuse with things or even other characters, so it has got to happen in a big way at some point) and using his magical shiny brand new keyblade of people's hearts, he brings someone back to life, reconnect the worlds, rights all the wrongs, and that sort of run in sentency kind of stuff.

 

THREE YEARS LATER

The universe is slowly deteriorating because time travel and all powerful heart merging powers and stuff (happens all the time in Star Trek, don't worry) and the space time continuum is fraying and bad stuff all around. Sora broke up with Kairi because Drama and thats how it always works in the movies, but it will end up being because they really love each other or something. Sora wants to stop the destruction of the universe from happening, so after consulting Yen Sid, he goes to Cid, who gives him a gummi device that tracks rifts in the fabric of space. Then Sora flies around, using his key blade in tons of worlds to fix rifts in the universe. There are scary new bad guys called THE VOIDBRINGERS from somewhere beyond the edge of the universe. The baddest bad guy ends up being Sora from the future (because space time is rifted, remember) who has been lost to despair or something and become nothing in the void, holding the greatest rift within his voided heart. This effects everyone connected to him, but just when they all almost fall into the darkness, the tears of his friends give his heart power as usual and Sora wins and then everything is okay again and the universe is fixed.

 

And I made that up as went. I'm sorry for anyone who actually read all of it.

There could always be more KH games though. Didnt Nomura say 3 would be the last one with Sora or something? Whatever he said, he implied the story could continue.I think the next game should be about Sora'schild and the next trio of keyblade wielders similar to that of TAV. I could imagine the Disney worlds being more modern versions and timeskips of current disney films. I.E. Simba's pride version of Lion King so the heroes team up with Scar's successor, or maybe A minsters university world in KH III and Monsters Inc in the hypothetical sequel. I don't have any really other ideas besides this...

End of KHIII: Sora becomes a Master and defeats MX. Roxas, Xion and Lea become the three Guardians of Kingdom Hearts. Namine restores the land of Departure with Aqua and lives there with Ventus and Aqua. Terra sets off to conquer his darkness. (btw Sora is the Key to Return Hearts)

 

KHIV: 2 YEARS LATER (Sora is 17)

The worlds are in danger again. Mysteriously, the worlds are slowly deteriorating while their hearts keep shining bright in the sky. At an annual Keyblade Master meeting (which Sora finds really boring), the subject is brought up and Sora is chosen to discover what's happening. Sora goes to Disney Castle with the King and reunites with Donald and Goofy. He chooses Donald and Goofy to accompany him on his quest since Kairi needs to finish her training under Riku. Sora meets with Terra, with his ability to connect to others hearts, he can contact Master Eraqus inside Terra. Sora discovers that the worlds are answering the call of a mysterious entity collecting all the pieces of the worlds (using darkness) to restore the original world, the world as it was before the Keyblade War. The entity also wants to use Kingdom Hearts as the heart of the original world.  Sora asks the help of Hayner (now a thief who learned everything from Zidane) to find the elements he needs to find the mysterious entity. With the help of Hayner, Donald and Goofy, Sora sets off to other worlds to find out how to stop the entity while the others prepare for the greatest battle in history...

In recent interviews, Nomura said that the KH3 will be the end of the Main number titles. But he have also said that KH3 will not be the end of Kingdom Hearts and Sora's adventures. So the next game after KH3 will probably not be called Kingdom Hearts 4, but have a sub-title, like with Re:CoM, and BBS. But in a sense it would still be KH4 as the beginning of the next saga.

KH3 Ending: Master Xehanort and his Organization XIII, have been defeated and the X-Blade was forged. Kingdom Hearts was brought back from the darkness and the Heartless have gone into hiding, because of the light Kingdom Hearts emits. The worlds have returned to a similar state of how they were in the age of fairy tales, though they are not one whole world, they are closer than before and the barriers no longer exist. The 7 Princesses have entered a comatose state, since their hearts returned to being part of the X-Blade, now they are having a long recovery, under the light of Kingdom Hearts. Roxas and Lea went together to Twilight Town, while Namine helps Xion finds her place in the world, Aqua have find a way to return the Land of Departure to its original self, and have return to the world along Terra and Ven. Mickey, Donald, and Goofy say goodbye to everyone and return to Disney Castle. While Sora and Riku puts Kairi's body next to that of the other princesses, and then return to Destiny Island. There they share a Paopu Fruit, and Riku asks Sora out, offer which Sora accepts. Kingdom Hearts shines brightly in the background, while Sora and Riku walk towards the beach, to fulfill their date.

Kingdom Hearts 4 or however it will be call; 13 months have passed since the defeat of Master Xehanort, the 7 princesses still show no sign of recovery. Sora and Riku have become a couple and are walking in the beach in the island where they used to play as little, when they are transported to Yen Sid's Tower. There Yen Sid appologizes for his abrupt ways of bringing them to the tower, but it was necessary since bad things are going on in the worlds. A strange entity have been spotted in different worlds and a small time after the entity is seen, dark clouds cover the world, and the Heartless return empowered by the clouds of darkness. Sora and Riku are send to investigate this new threat that may destroy the new found peace in the worlds. Though they will not be alone in this adventure, Donald and Goofy once again join Sora, but this time, Riku also comes along with them, with the gummy ship with them, they head to new, thrilling and never before seen DIsney Worlds, from movies like Pocahontas, Black Cauldron, and Princess and the Frog. ~It is time for the awakening of the next saga~
