All I hear about lately is "where are the female playable characters?" or "we want female playable characters." Tetsuya Nomura himself said in a recent interview said that playable females would be "difficult"... So my question is... do YOU want to see more female characters?

Me personally, I did at first; until a friend of mine convinced me that Noctis and co. were designed to be like a japanese mafia... and then I asked myself this: "Did Nomura purposely not make female playable chracters?"

Perhaps there is an explanation in the story why there is an apparent lack in females. If so, I hope Nomura doesnt change his original idea of the game too much becuase of the complaints about the lack of female characters. So if it can't be helped, it can't be helped. I want at least Stella playable, but if she's not... then that's fine too.

It's also worth noting that Nomura said you would be using the car alot. Most cars can fit up to 5 people, and there are 5 playable characters so far.

We'll see i guess. Only time will tell.

Well I don't have a problem with it. I'd prefer a balance of gender in my games, but at the end of the day, I don't really care. You should go on the FF15 gamefaqs board. That's ALL anyone ever complains about. That's why I moved here. Trust me though, there are a large amount of people who don't want all male characters playable.

I'm still not sure why the second "female gamers" video has to do with what I said.

I'd prefer a balance, too.  I don't look at the GameFAQs community due to what I've heard (and sometimes witnessed) from their intelligence.

In hindsight, the second video is less relevant, but I thought it added other insight to girls and games.

Yeah, I don't blame you when it comes to the gamefaqs community. Some small boards are actually kinda alright, but big boards like the Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts boards? Forget it.Fair enough. I have no favorites when it comes to gender with protagonists, I just like a balance. If the game where all girls I would be dissapointed there too, haha. However by no means do the gender ratio play a part in having good story/gameplay/soundtrack/graphics/etc. I'll get over it, haha. :P

The last few Final Fantasy games have been loaded with great female characters.

Eg. Lightning, Princess Ashe & Yuna.

And in XIII we had a couple of Aussies!

From what I played, Lightning (my fav), Serah, Lulu, Paine, Aerith, Tifa, Cissnei, Vanille, and Fang were the only ones I like.

As for KH, Aqua and Xion are the only original ones I like. Kairi is cool but I could careless to play as her.

I wanna play Stella.

We all want to play Stella. ;)

As long as it's done right. Allot of the time i'm turned away from female characters because they have no personality or they're just bitchy, ditsy or slutty and use their looks to get their way. Kingdom hearts is one of the few series that actually has good female characters with actual depth

Doesn't matter, just hope the gameplay is good.

I don't really mind. As long as they don't put a playable female character in for the sake of just having one.

As long as there are a variety of female characters that are portrayed amazingly then I'll be fine.

Stella would be interesting to play but it seems like she'll be a future enemy in this game.
