So, about a week ago my dad gave me a small safety box to hold important stuff in.  It's really nice, has a lock and stuff, but it's really ugly.  It's a boring grey and has stains from some candles sitting on it or something

 

 

So yesterday I went to a fabric store and bought to pretty fabrics.  With the fabric and cutting up some shoe boxes, I made these covers to fit the dimensions of the safety box.  I originally learned how to do it from making a cover for some notebooks I had and just applied the same concept again.

 

 

 

Then I used some adhesive to stick the covers on my safety box and now I have a beautiful safety box!  I have left over fabric so I might do the inside too.  There's a pullout change holder thing in it too that I may spray paint to go with everything.  So, yeah!  Moral of the story: fabric is magical ^^

Pimp My Lock Box

I really like how you turned something simple into something beautiful. ^_^ The fabrics you placed on the box complement each other nicely. You could probably start a small personal business by creating custom designed boxes.
