When you get a shiver its meant to mean that someone has walked over your grave, It's  a saying I still use to my day as my mother used to say 'someone walked over my grave' when she shivered, I personally don't believe in anything super natural like that at all, it's something which has stuck with me.

Creatures

 

Puca's are benevolent evil spirits who'll stand outside your house and call your name and once you come outside they'll drag you away.  On a good day they'll just destroy the farm.  Farmers can prevent this by offering them a share of their harvest.

 

 

A Banshee is a woman who let's out the most piercing cries, the family of those who hear it will experience a death in the family.  She is a bad omen.  Around my area, the legend was that a woman would appear at your window, and upon looking at her face she'll let out a heart stopping houl that'll shatter the windows giving her the free path to throw a sharp edged comb at you.  But the former is the most common legend about the Banshee. 

 

 

Fairies give birth to deformed children known as changelings.  Fairies then swap these with human children, and the changeling will only ever be happy in the family when they're experiencing misfortune.  The mothers who die in childbirth who are taken by the fairies, are asked to look after the human children they take.

in brazil there is supposedly a man who kidnaps children, put them in a bag, beats them to death then drops off their bodies at their families house. So children are told to not wander the streets at night. My cousin in brazil told me that when we were kids. Dont know if it count but its all I got.

Paraguay has something similar.  It's a child with white hair that will lure kids into playing with him during siesta.  In some versions he'll kill them, in others he'll eat them, and then there's a version where he lets them go back home (but no one tells that version ).  It's a good story to scare kids from running off during siesta.

Now I am wondering if there is some connecting in between cannibalism myths and white features.

That's interesting.  And I never thought about his hair being white meaning he's albino, though I suppose that should be obvious.  But hey, at least he's a god.  One of the seven evil gods... The dog might be albino and he's good!

I was just thinking of albino since what you were talking about appears as a kid, and usually when I hear about a kid with white hair I hear about an albino... And I didn't state it, but I meant beings that resemble humans or were formally humans with white features. And anyways that dog doesn't have a head to eat you with, but it is a good point.
