Is it me or is gaming a bit hard to keep up with?

Posted

Well title^I find its kinda hard to keep up with the gaming world since their are so many games coming out that I want and its gonna take a while for me to get them and how should I say this I have completionist issues and that makes me tend to not enjoy a game.So was wondering if its not me alone who thinks it hard to keep up with the gaming world. At this point I'm think I'm gonna move on to an mmo.

lotro is good if you are thinking of trying an mmo.

It's just you.

I generally don't buy games on their release date unless they're something I covet dearly (e.g. KH games, A 3DS remake of Majora's Mask, a 3DS remake of Banjo Kazooie) they're the only ones I'd get on release so the fact that all the games getting released this year are so close together doesn't bother me.  I find it hard to keep up with gaming in general but I feel it's quite rude to reject offers to hang out or talk with your family to sit alone in your room playing a game (typically if I want to play a game and not offend my family I'd play my 3DS downstairs so they can still talk to me).

I'm also a completionist, what I tend to do is do the most I can do along and occasionally move the storyline ahead until I get right before the final battle (you can typically tell, either text, the atmosphere, the room design hints the next area would spawn the final battle), and then I go backwards and try to get everything 100% before finishing it so I finish 100%.  It makes it boring when you're already advanced the plot so much you are literally grinding repetitively for items, trophies, coins w/e.

I'm more focused on getting games I missed out on years ago than getting games that are being released.

*high fives* I am not alone!

Last few years I have concentrated on catching up on games, but recently I have started making sure Im up to date with everything aswell. Like getting a PS4/Xbox1/Wii-U and making sure I get pretty much every new game.

I don't find it hard to keep up with games. Granted, I don't play a wide variety of games. Consoles and handhelds, however... :/

I want to say you. lol

Not just you. My family barely has money for food, hence you hear about me getting outdated games and sounding excited about it!!!!

Wasn't that way before my parents devorced, mind you. And getting a job in this town? It like, isn't happoning, man.

Besides i'm still too autistic </3

And working at my dad's pizza place would probably lead me to hanging myself.

I REALLY DON'T FEEL AT ALL COMPHERTABLE WITH HIS FAMILY. And, its like, the only option we seem to have atm....

Though, really, i'd only use SOME of my work money to keep up with games, anyways :P I'm a strictly dress loving gal. Dresses were my childhood. Childhood is only a major drive on part of where my (and likely several other people) money goes......and a lot of my money? I wanna save it up for lolita clothes, which woulda basicly been my *DREAM* clothing if I was also still a cute little girl <3
