The world of Nova Chrysalia – still known as Novus Partus in the Japanese version – is a vast place. This locale contains the remnants of Grand Pulse, now mostly washed away by the Chaos that was let into the world at the end of Final Fantasy XIII-2. While things may seem different in Lightning Returns, there still exists an air of familiarity across the four distinct regions of the land – Luxerion, the Dead Dunes, the Wildlands, and Yusnaan.
Square Enix provides us today with a further look at these regions – beginning from the Ark from which Lightning will start her daily adventures until the end approaches. Despite the world clearly designed to be more open this time around, it’s imperative that players take the time and manage Lightning’s resources wisely.
World Introduction and the Ark:
Lightning talks with Hope in the Ark, and she teleports to a certain continent. Apparently when you teleport, it has a traveling screen that looks ALOT LIKE THAT ONE YOU GOT IN XIII-2 WHEN YOU CHOSE TO GO TO A TIME PERIOD AND HAVE TO WAIT THROUGH A LOADING SCREEN SHOWING YOU TRAVEL THROUGH THE HISTORIA CRUX.
