Master Juan 574 Posted September 9, 2013 As most of you already know, every Organization member's name has the letter, "X" in it. The X is given to the original Somebody's Nobody form's name. For example, Roxas, Sora's Nobody, is simply "Sora" rearranged with an X in it. Then where would that put Xion? Since she is technically not even a "Nobody" she doesn't have an original Somebody form (i.e. Axel and Lea), so, she can't have an original name if she was never originally a person. However, if you take the X out of her name and rearrange it, it can come up as, "No i." This can refer to the fact that she was the first (and only) puppet in the replica program (Repliku is a different type of replica, so it doesn't count). However, if you look at it more basically, it can be read as, "No one," referring to the fact that she was actually never somebody before. This was brilliant on the developer's part, and the amount of thought put into something as basic as a name is incredible. Do you agree with me on the "No one" theory or anything else in this post? Disagree? Let me know your thoughts! 1 Gamerazor247 reacted to this

Master Juan 574 Posted September 9, 2013 (edited) Fool. It's an I, not a 1. As if, I don't think you read my post thoroughly And it's most likely the Roman Numeral I, which is synonymous with the number 1 in modern society. slmcknett 31 Posted September 9, 2013 Xion's original name is "no.i". She's called that in the very first secret report. As for your thoughts on it, it's probably somewhat true. While the "i" is just read like the letter, it's probably supposed to have a double meaning as "1" as well, since she is the first replica. But still, the meaning we're given by Nomura is that the "i" stands for the imaginary number.
Hero of Winds 2,576 Posted September 9, 2013 (edited) Xion is a puppet, her entire being is imaginary. It's not read No I, No One, etc. It is read No. i. In algebra, i is used for imaginary number. Organization XIII never changed to Organization XIV because Xion was an imaginary number among their group, hence why all memories of her were erased when she was. Though Xion actually grew her own heart during the time she was with Roxas and Axel. She's no longer imaginary in that exact sense. There's a difference between the roman numeral I and i. They are not the same. I'm disagreeing with your theory. 1 Hero of Winds reacted to this

Besides I thought we were comparing the Roman numeral I with one, not I with i. (How many posts do you have starting with fool at this point?)

They made it an i, but you're making it a I. They made it a lower case i for a reason.
xxClouDxxmoon 901 Posted September 9, 2013 I don't think is was meant to be "No One" although atleast you backed up your theory.

Didnt really put much thought into it til now, but thats alot of what makes these games so awesome putting so much thought into making them work like they do, its not easy. And you know, technically Xion's like Roxas's nobody Made up of Sora's memories of Kairi

Raziel 248 Posted September 9, 2013 Fool. They made it an i, but you're making it a I. They made it a lower case i for a reason. Roman numerals can be lowercase and still be correct...A lowercase numeral "I" IS i. Just sayin'.
KH4Real 749 Posted September 9, 2013 (edited) Xion name is confirmed as No. 1. She was the first replica. You was close though. Edited September 9, 2013 by KH4Real
