Ok I was wondering, why is Ansem the Wise "stuck" in the realm of darkness. Doesn't the black coat enable you to travel through the realm of darkness to anywhere you basically want? Why is he sitting in there like he needs to be saved when he basically can get out any time he wants?

Huh good question...I actually never thought of that. But I guess since he lost memories, he may not remember he can get out

The cloak merely protects you from the dangers of using the Dark Corridors; it doesn't give you the ability to use them. And I'm assuming the same explosion that blasted him to the Realm of Darkness also took away his power to use said corridors.

Oh that makes sense, it just seemed like everybody that had the coat could open a portal :s. Didn't pay that much attention. So wait, I have a slight memory (I have bad memory) about Mickey opening a portal. Is that a true memory? If it is, how could he open them without the power of darkness?

i don't remember mickey opening a portal before if you mean that whistle that was riku pretty sure also why dosent ansem just swim outta the world?!??!??!

mickey does open a dark corridor and i think the black coats just protect them from darkness when they go inside corridors

Mickey had the cloak for a while, but they never told us how he traveled. I really haven't played KH2 recently, but I'm pretty sure that he can't use the dark corridors.

You mean like how Sora, Riku and Kairi planned to go to other worlds on the raft they built?

1. Well, who knows if they actually could travel to other worlds that way. They never got to try.

2. It seems a long way to swim.

3. He probably couldn't find material to make a boat.

I'm pretty sure Mickey never used the darkness portal. You have to be one with the darkness like Riku/XH was before he was Riku at the end of KH2. He couldn't make a poprtal because the darkness had left him. So for Mickey to make a portal means that he would have to have darkness and that's not like Mickey to be consumed by the darkness.

I'm almost positive that I remember seeing Mickey open a portal. And if Ansem the Wise decides to be overcome by darkness, ( as Riku did, ) then he could most likely get out I guess.
