As much as I look forward to playing the game along with some other Wii U games I wish they came up with a different 3D Mario game. 3D World looks too much like 3D Land except it has local multiplayer this time rather than just playing as Mario. I'm not saying this game is bad or anything but I wish Nintendo came up with a better 3D Mario game. Something unique, something more... innovative like with Sunshine and Galaxy. I have no problems with this game (except maybe the fact that this might take me a day to beat it like with 3D Land). I can understand why they made this similar to 3D Land since that game sold 1 million units when the 3DS was starting out. So this is kind of a good tactic to start the Wii u with some good games if you look at it that way.

This game is specifically made to have more content on the Wii U by the end of the year since it has pushed the 3DS incredibly two years ago.

 

This isn't the end of the style of Mario Galaxy and the Mario 64 style of collecting stars.

 

it takes time to develop a Mario game that's as big and amazing as Galaxy and 3D world is there to give the fans something to have fun with until the real big Mario game comes out

I'm actually surprised to see GTA V not be the vote for GOTY everyone says the council should choose The Last of Us and I fully support that! Super Mario 3D World isn't really much against the other titles on there unfortunately, but that doesn't change the fact that it's gonna be a great family game.

I'm still debating to myself if it's worth it. I honestly don't like buying games with nothing to do afterwards. (I don't count the secret stages as the main ones are firetrucking too easy I enjoy the secrets more.) If only it had online I'd buy it, but we have Ninty thinking times are the same as back 10 years ago smh.

 

I probably will buy it, but the most fun I expect is 3 days tops if it's easy from what I keep hearing.

I played 3D land, enjoyable but too easy besides the very last stage. If I get it, I hope it's time consuming and difficult later on before I put it on a shelve for it to gather dust. lolThe issue Ninty has; they think it's still the past where people would visit and playing online didn't exist. Online is so big these days, people got lazier or ask why should I waste money and time to travel when I could be using my internet to play with my friends (or others when their friends are busy) online? Speaking on busy, friends these days simply don't have the time like back in the day. I understand Ninty is encouraging family stuff, as well as not everyone having internet, but they seriously need to get on with the current times. Just my two cents.I know this game can be enjoyed playing single, but I want to have fun screwing other people around for example. I heard it's so much fun multiplayer compaired to solo.I'll decide on next week during Black Friday. They might add online in the next game....there is still hope since Pokemon,Mario Kart,Kid Icarus Uprising and Smash Bros,all of them have online

 

It's just different teams and different mentality,it's not nessecarily because they think it's the past or not.For all we know they might patch the game with online multiplayer later if we asked them enough times.

 

But I understand where you are coming from with this,I also wished there were online,but it's not a big negative at all in my opinion
