(I know there were quite a bunch about the 7 lights and about Roxas in connection to that though, I just don't know if this was ever mentioned). If there was, I apologize for repeating any theory, but I did think of this on my own, since I never read any of these topics thoroughly.

 

So, I watched the KH3D opening just now and I might be just blind, but I never noticed that in the scene where Mickey summons Terra, Aqua, Ven, Goofy and Donald, there is also Roxas who appears. I always took this scene as foreshadowing what might happen in KHIII, and with Roxas added it would be exactly 7 people or more precisely the 7 lights (Goofy and Donald obviously don't count).

 

So could this mean that Roxas actually will have a big role in KH3 and will even be one of the seven lights? Or does this scene mean really nothing?

However i do think Roxas will make a return for sure as his own person in KH3 and could still be a possibility for a light as Nomura also said that their identities will surprise us all and also that you don't have to be a wielder to be a light ( making Donald and Goofy possible candidates). Regardless the ending to DDD implies the possible return of Roxas, Xion , and even Namine through Ansem the Wise's hidden data. Sora himself told Roxas he's his own person .The implications are all there.

Just rewatched the DDD opening: may just be a tease. Doesn't seem to likely, with Ven losing his heart, Aqua off in Darkness, and Terra now Terrahort.

BTW, did anyone ever frigging read the game booklet for BBS? The intro:

Not much hope for a happy ending there.

Blank Points, Re:Coded and DDD all point out they are on the list of who needs saving so their fates aren't permanently sealed at all.

That'd be good: Xion kinda got the short end of the Keyblade on life, and Roxas just got had period.

This kinda needs to be fixed more than Terra and Aqua: I still get chills when I realize Roxas was ONE when he died.

I think they will all get their share of Sora's "saving hand" or let's call it "saving keyblade". Don't use such ugly words as "died". he didn't die, he just became one with Sora and lives on within him. Well until he returns, if he does.

Ansem the Wise says to Aqua �Everything is born from sleep.� What does this mean?

 

Nomura: In that scene the ones who are calling for �Sora� are the ones who have already disappeared from the world. But in the world of KH there is no concept of death, that for example they are just sleeping within Sora�s heart. If you can just wake them up, they�ll be able to return to the world, they would be �born from sleep�. That there would be a possibility of this, is what Ansem the Wise is saying. Even Aqua, who isn�t in the realm of light, would be born from sleep.

That would be my guess as well but the point still remains the lights aren't confirmed and there are lots of candidates

Terra seems obvious, but the fact of the matter is we havn't seen head nor tail of Terra. Unlike Aqua, Ventus and Kairi who were alluded to in the DDD secret ending. I don't think Terra can be saved until after Xehanort has been beaten for good, since both his heart and body are still tied up somewhere.

Personally I the lights are gonna be difficult to predict. I mean the way i see it, the only guaranteed person to be a light is Sora. The other six positions could be any one of (in no particular order) Ventus, Mickey, Kairi, Riku, Aqua, Terra (come on if Riku is a candidate then so is Terra), Lea, Roxas, hell even Xion.

In all honesty i only hope Roxas comes back since:  

• He needs to catch a break considering his year or so of life
• I want to see the reunion between him, Xion and Lea
• He need the chance to punch Riku and Ansem in the face for what they put him through in fake Twilight
• Yes i know this is a bit biased but he was actually the first character i played as so i was annoyed to see him go. 

Also is it just me or does anyone else think that having to live Sora's life with no freedom whatsoever is a fate worse than death? I am starting to think being whole is overrated.

I agree. Also, this dude needs to come back into the games. His story deserves a conclusion, besides the " Returning To Sora " bit.

Yeah I wonder what they're going to do with him...DDD implies that he should be his own person, but I don't think a Nobody can exist outside if the real somebody exists at the same time. Plus, I don't think it's a good idea to have two exact twins of basically the same character. That would be really dumb to me.

Roxas is a special nobody like Xemnas and Namine and unlike the rest of the organization. So it isn't odd for him to exist simultaneously with Sora. In fact he already did, because he was born in KHI when Sora released his and Kairi's hearts and the coexisted through the rest of KHI and CoM until Sora fell asleep. 

 

About the appearance, I would find both cases weird somehow On one hand it would be weird for two almost identically looking characters to coexist (the Norts are not the same, they don't look totally identical!), on the other hand though, it would be just as weird to suddenly give Roxas a whole new appearance, since everyone knows him like that and then he looks different all of a sudden. If Roxas really comes back, I'm very curious how they solve this.

in a normal case Ventus should be an adult now (maybe 20+) so it wouldn't be much of a problem to see who is Ven and who is Roxas (15/16 years)

but Ventus is sleeping for over 10 years without his heart and when we saw him in DDD it looks like the time for him has stopped

Wait, what about my statement was wrong? Roxas had to disappear (become a part of Sora) in order for sora to wake up in KHII. But he coexisted with Sora during KHI and CoM until he fell asleep at the end of the latter. I said nothing else. Not to mention, they still coexisted, even while Sora was sleeping. Being asleep doesn't mean you cease to exist lol, he was just not awake like Roxas was most of the time.
