I was looking through interviews with Tetsuya Nomura and I came across this:

 

"Nomura : Regarding D23 Expo Japan, this is the first time that Disney holds such an event outside the U.S., so it is a great honor for us to be invited. I’m very happy that we have the opportunity to hold a special conference for Kingdom Hearts. I really want to make a surprise announcement for this event but it is currently under discussion, so we’ll see (laughs)."

 

He says he wants to make a surprise announcement at D23, which I'm guessing is KH2.5.

 

I hope so. Cuz KH II is my favorite KH game ever, a Final Mix would make me SO happy.

I agree! KH2 was one of my favorites and I would love to play it in HD and Final Mix. And if we get BBSFM that'd be awesome too:)

Yeah I figured Nomura would announce KH 2.5 HD Remix at D23 expo because that's where he has a surprise announcement there. So if he had revealed 2.5 at TGS then there most likely wouldn't be anything good to show at the D23 event. Also, when does D23 Expo start? Does anyone know the date for when it begins?

KH II is my favorite game, so I would love a KH II FM. Since playing KH FM, all I want to do is play KH II again, but I may just wait for it to be released on the 2.5 Remix.

Not likely considering Nomura has already said there is a delay. Besides, I'd imagine 2.5 is going to be released prior to KH III.

Reading that little excerpt, I'd also say KH HD 2.5 Remix would be announced there. Especially since TGS 2013 was a disappointment.

I sincerely hope that you are correct. I'd be so happy! After they showed off the KH3 trailer at E3 I've been in a Kingdom Hearts fever dream ever since!
