DiZ I can understand since they couldn't keep Christopher Lee, But Namine has her KH2 voice actress, and Kairi's (if she even has any lines in Days) is off of KH1 dialogue.

Ugh, I know. DiZ just sounded EXACTLY like Yen Sid (same VA). He could've done something to differentiate the two characters' voices...

I actually prefered Megan Jette Martin as Naminé, as for DIZ the venerable Corey Burton did a commendable job. He's also voiced several Kingdom Hearts characters you won't believe, Floatsam, Jetsam, Captain Hook, Yen Sid, Dale, Shan Yu, Sark, the MCP, the magic Mirror, Frollo. I'm sure there's more, I think he's got incredible range!

I dislike inconsistency.

Diz's voice change annoyed me a little bit... But I can't really tell the difference with Namine and Kairi, they both sound pretty generic to begin with.

 

I really think Alyson Stoner sounds a lot like Hayden Panettiere any way, I liked her in 358/2 Days.

I'm pretty sure for KH3 Hayden (can't spell her last name) will be voicing Kairi. I liked Namine's voice in both KH2 and Re:CoM but I liked KH2 a bit more.  

I felt like Xion's voice was off.  

I'm incredibly anal about inconsistency in voice-acting. I'm still frustrated by David Hayter's departure as Big Boss for the new Metal Gear game. Yet in KH, almost all of the differences in VA are actually very justified. Of course, they couldn't keep Christopher Lee for long. He's one of the most famous actors in the business and was a then-late 80's year old man. 

 

Not sure what you mean by Namine. She sounds about like she does in all of her other appearances, in my opinion.

 

Kairi only had one line, I think, (Correct me if I'm wrong) and it was given pretty admirably despite the fact that it was a different actress. They weren't going to call in the original for one line.

 

I don't think Xion sounds different so much as she sounds slightly older. She's voiced by Alyson Stoner, who was 16 when 358 first came out, and she re-dubbed the lines earlier this year at 19, it makes sense she'd sound somewhat different, I suppose.

Oh, yeah, I do remember that one. I didn't dislike the voice-acting so much as the fact that they didn't really inflect her voice like in the original game. Somewhat understandable, I guess. I think Namine suffers under the safe fate as Ansem SOD did as Billy Zane didn't reprise his role for later games because, I guess, he had better things to do. (Even if I somewhat prefer his voice for Ansem)

I didn't mean ISSUES, I meant his voice is very much a man trying to sound like a younger boy of 14, and it was kinda weird sounding, at least to me.

But it's just my opinion.

C'mon you should know by now that KH is rife with VA inconsistencies. Ansem, Namine and Aeris have all had their VAs replaced since their debuts, and if a character only has one or two lines they'll usually get someone less expensive to do the voice. TBH, I'm surprised Hayden showed up to do one line for Xion in 3D, what with her being busy on her hit prime-time drama and all.As for Namine and Aeris, their VAs were replaced because the originals were not well received by reviewers, IDK what the deal with Ansem was though.I haven't watched it yet, but I am surprised that they re-recorded Kairi's lines instead of using the audio file from the original like they did wit FM HD since they were just memories and all. My point is, I've kind of come to expect inconsistent voice acting when it comes to KH.

I was under the impression Billy Zane (Ansem) left because he had better things to do. He's not an exceptionally popular actor, but he's well-known from Titanic.
