Compilation of dumb observations, questions and predictions

Hiya! I'ma new here /)^3^(~

Let's begin!

  • Does the darkness have the power of prevervation? Ventus and Aqua didn't seem to age and the Radiant Garden crew didn't starve to death or woke up in a puddle of excretory fluids. (Same with Sora)
  • How will Xion exist if she is made after Sora's memories? Same with Roxas, I desperately want them back, but how will it work?
  • Am I the only one who wants Sora to use the force (I really want my light-sabeer keyblade)
  • Any good reason why Lea is still in his Org. 13 coat?
  • Ienzo's lab coat is one size fits all.
  • I have a strong feel either Braig or Isa will die.
  • I think it would be interesting if Sehanort were the [grand] father of one of our heroes.
  • Is it possible we will ever see Vanitas again?
  • Will we ever see Sora's mom?
  • There should be part of the game where you can explore Sora's house, and as an Easter Egg you can find a plate of putrescent food on a dining table.
  • Am I the only one who wants to see Final Fantasy 9 characters in the next game?
  • There should be a scene where Kairi saves the day.
  • How would you react if the beloved character of yours was of an orientation not of your desire (e.g. Roxas was comfirmed to be straight for you yaoi fangirls)
  • What does sea salt ice cream taste like.
  • Don't you think dark and light should be balanced?
  • If we kill of Young Xehanort, will the butterfly effect take place?
  • How would you react if we start of the Post-Xehanort saga with an adult (or late teen) Sora?

*note, I do not expect any answers/opinions, but it'd be awesome if you do:)

1. Ventus has not aged because he currently lacks a heart, and Aqua did not age very much because time flows slowly in the Realm of Darkness. Nobodies do not age until they have grown a heart.

2. People in Kingdom Hearts exist the way that people remember them, so when Roxas returns, he will have the same appearance as before. As for Xion, only time will tell.

4. Not yet.

8. Young Xehanort located Vanitas when he was without a physical form and took him to the time of DDD, but because Vanitas has probably returned to his place in time, he will probably return to the present in some other way.

9. I doubt it.

15. It is better if light is the dominating force.

16. Young Xehanort has returned to his place in time. I am not sure what the "butterfly effect" is.

17. I would probably be disappointed.

1. About the nobodies, can you explain the first 8 members of the organization? Some where turned into nobodies at a young age and have obviously shown some form of growth later on.

16. The butterfly effect is when you go back in time, alter your surroundings and change the future. For example, you go back in time to help you grandfather make a financial decision that will effect how your family will prosper in the future. At first, your grandfather threw all his money into the stock market right before it crashed causing the great depression, and as a result his family in the future is broke. But then you find a way to go back in time and tell him not to invest into anything, you go back to your original time and your family is filthy rich. Best explanation I can provide.

17. So would I.

Hiya! I'ma new here /)^3^(~

  • There should be a scene where Kairi saves the day.

This is not, in any way shape or form, a dumb prediction... I LOVE IT

Welcome to the forums!

Don't hurt Kairi and we'll get along just fine xD

Also:

16. I am not sure what the "butterfly effect" is.

The butterfly effect: The idea that any action done differently in the past in seemingly non-critical times, no matter how small, will catastrophically alter the future. It was named after a scientist who theorized that a hurricane development can be dependent on whether or not a butterfly, thousands of miles away, had flapped its wings a certain number of times just weeks before a hurricane was supposed to develop. Pretty cool theory actually xP

1. About the nobodies, can you explain the first 8 members of the organization? Some where turned into nobodies at a young age and have obviously shown some form of growth later on.

That remains to be explained.

Let's begin!

  • Does the darkness have the power of prevervation? Ventus and Aqua didn't seem to age and the Radiant Garden crew didn't starve to death or woke up in a puddle of excretory fluids. (Same with Sora) Well, we haven't got a very clear look at Ventus since he was put to sleep. He may very well have gotten taller over the years. But as it is, the chamber of repose may have a stasis effect. Not sure what you're getting at with the Radiant Garden crew though.
  • How will Xion exist if she is made after Sora's memories? Same with Roxas, I desperately want them back, but how will it work? It's implied, and somewhat confirmed by the nobodies, that special cases like hers... beings without hearts... can grow hearts of their own. It's likely this is the same case for Xion, and the heart she developed will be the catalyst for a return, if she returns at all. Putting them at peace and putting their suffering to an end, the thing that coded suggested, may mean they're getting restored, or maybe it will mean a final rest, having their souls put at peace at last. Who knows.
  • Am I the only one who wants Sora to use the force (I really want my light-sabeer keyblade) Not many fans are supportive of the Star Wars in KH idea. I know I'm not.
  • Any good reason why Lea is still in his Org. 13 coat? As it is, the other members of the Organization woke up in the attire they died in. Implying that Lea lost his heart while wearing an Organization coat, and that he lost his heart in the same room as the others. He also shows surprise at Isa not being there. The implication here is, Lea and Isa were in that room at the time they lost their hearts, and Lea at the least was wearing an Organization coat.
  • Ienzo's lab coat is one size fits all. Good an explanation as any.
  • I have a strong feel either Braig or Isa will die. Probably not far off the bat with that one. There probably will be a death or two.
  • I think it would be interesting if Sehanort were the [grand] father of one of our heroes. Nah. It's pretty solid that familial connections aren't a thing in KH.
  • Is it possible we will ever see Vanitas again? It's very possible.
  • Will we ever see Sora's mom? No way of knowing.
  • There should be part of the game where you can explore Sora's house, and as an Easter Egg you can find a plate of putrescent food on a dining table. Yes. Yes there should xD
  • Am I the only one who wants to see Final Fantasy 9 characters in the next game? You are most certainly not the only one. I would kill people to see more FF9 characters in the game.
  • There should be a scene where Kairi saves the day. Yes there should. And there probably will be.
  • How would you react if the beloved character of yours was of an orientation not of your desire (e.g. Roxas was comfirmed to be straight for you yaoi fangirls) The only relationships that are even close to being canon in the games are Sora and Kairi and Roxas and Namine. And only that first one is for certain. Everyone else are really good friends, considering that's the theme of Kingdom Hearts, strong friendship. Keeping this in mind, orientation of the characters is largely irrelevant, so I wouldn't have much of a reaction at all.
  • What does sea salt ice cream taste like. Salty... yet, sweet!
  • Don't you think dark and light should be balanced? Yep. It's pretty set that the series is saying that there should be a balance.
  • If we kill of Young Xehanort, will the butterfly effect take place? It would be a paradox. Young Xehanort will probably be sent back in time before he can be defeated.
  • How would you react if we start of the Post-Xehanort saga with an adult (or late teen) Sora? I would be fine with it. I don't want Sora to become the next Ash from Pokemon.

*note, I do not expect any answers/opinions, but it'd be awesome if you do:)

I put my responses in bold in the quote above.

4. I think there's some nice back story behind Isa and Lea, this will probably be explored in the next game, giving you some explanation as to why Axel was in the coat!

5. He was probably a lot older by the time he lost his heart

7. I think it would annoy me if Xehanort was everyone's grandfather, but since he is from destiny islands some deeper connection might be reveled in KH3

11. I would really like to see some Final Fantasy 12 and 13 characters.

13. Way too fan girl

16. Hmmm, maybe it will cause some greater problem, who knows?

I put my responses in bold in the quote above.

1. Actually, Ventus' body is shown inside its chamber at Castle Oblivion in one of the final cut-scenes of DDD. It clearly has not aged.

2. The general consensus is that their return as their own people is what is meant by putting an end to their suffering.

3. Agreed.

15. Actually, if there was a balance, I assume that means that Heartless would inhabit the same worlds as people who live in the Realm of Light, which would not be a good thing.

16. Is that not what has already happened?

I do not mean to sound like a snob or anything...

It would be too weird if Roxas returned, I personally don't want this to happen, Ven is Roxas.

Xion could return... I'd be interested to see how this plays out

I am sorry to disappoint you, but Ventus is not Roxas. It was established quite clearly in DDD that Nobodies are their own people.

Edit: 15. Well, no. Light is the dominant part of the two of them, and it originally did not contain Heartless, and while there are so many worlds in the Realms of Light and In-Between, all the darkness has is the Realm of Darkness, so I assume that this means that the two parts are not balanced.

Can you link the scene where Sora explains this?

Yes, but until we've seen Ventus standing then we don't know if he's grown. "Clearly" isn't the word I'd use. Sora got taller when he was in the pod, but his hair didn't grow in a completely obvious fashion. Not to mention the fact that they don't always update the models. For instance, Mysterious Figure in BBS is meant to be Young Xehanort, but since they didn't have the Young Xehanort character model available at the time, they used... Saixs? I think? Point is, if they want Ventus to be a bit more grown in KH3, they can do that, because there's a precadent.

Eh, maybe.

The series is pretty strong on the fact that Darkness is not inherently bad, and that light is not inherently good. The Heartless are creatures of the dark realm, it's where they belong. The only reason they're running around is because they were unleashed, but they are not evidence that "ooh darkness is the evils". The existence of Eraqus as a character is that Light isn't perfect. He was basically a light supremacist, and look where it got him. He almost killed Ventus because of it.

It's not clear whether or not that;s what happened.

Can you link the scene where Sora explains this?

I'm too tired to look for it, but he's right. Roxas only looks the way he does because Ventus heart' was inside him, but only dormant. Nobodies can develop their own hearts, and that's what Roxas did. The only thing he and Ventus share is an appearance.

Sounds reasonable. But if the model explanation isn't true then it is safe to say Ventus hasn't grown up (at least not as much as he is supposed to).

1. Aparently they have been asleep for more than 10 years, you would have to think that being in a coma for that long would have negative effects on the body.

2. Sounds like an interesting plot. I have a feeling I might finally find a scene in KH cry-worthy.

3. At least SW would probably fit in better than Marvel. Plus Disney and Lucas had ties for longer than you'd think. ;)

4. If that's the case, Lea's coat is one size fits all aswell.

6. A game about Final Fantasy and Disney, two franchises notorious for killing off characters, it would be stupid if they didn't include at least one death.

7. And that is why it may add to the surrealism of that plot point.

12. I really hope if this does happen, that it is truly suspenseful and not cute and underplayed like in KH2

15. Yeah, I cannot see a world where everything is so, perfect. It would pretty much lose its interest.

16. But, wasn't it stated that you can only move forward in time?

Edited by Tyrants

Heartless are just untamed animals that are only tamed if you use the Darkness. Also when Kingdom Hearts meets it end, there should be balance by then.

15. It is better if light is the dominating force.

Varnish. Light isn't a dominating force if the RoL are still having trouble with Darkness for years. I think the reason why Heartless are there is to bring back the darkness to the RoD and the Heartless. The reason I say this is because they weren't and wouldn't attack if the residents of the RoL were pure hearts of light as they should be.

Don't forget... not everyone grows that much. Maybe Ventus was already pretty much done growing. I know 15 and 16 year olds who didn't get any taller then they got at that age.

1. In a coma for ten years? Where the hell do you get that idea? They turned into nobodies. Nobodies are exactly that, they are the bodies of the original person. Their hearts went off into the heartless, and their bodies turned into the nobodies we see in the Organization. I keep running into people who have this perception that nobodies are different, when they're not. They are the bodies of the original person. When their heartless and nobody were destroyed, they became the person they were then, only with the additions their body has recieved. Since it's their body. Scars remain, hair that grew remains grown, if they got taller then they're still that tall when they're back. The nobody is the body.

4. The organization coats seem to be more then just a piece of clothing. They look like they adapt to the body of the wearer. This is why the coat Riku wore when he turned into Ansem didn't suddenly become to small for the body, and why a coat fits on Mickey at all.

16. If that was the case, then how did Ansem Seeker of Darkness go back in time to Young Xehanort? The rules of time travel are still very confusing at this point.

1. Just think about it, he was about Lea and Isa's age in BBS. They change a lot from then.

2. Then explain Sora when he was asleep. His body was still remains when Roxas existed.

3. We'll just have to see in the next game :/

1.  Does the darkness have the power of prevervation? Ventus and Aqua didn't seem to age and the Radiant Garden crew didn't starve to death or woke up in a puddle of excretory fluids. (Same with Sora)

I wouldn't be surprised if it did. If Darkness helps people make good on their negative or sinful desires, then I think Vanity would be in play as much as any of the others. In fact, I can see that being one of the main allures towards Darkness for the average human being.

2.  How will Xion exist if she is made after Sora's memories? Same with Roxas, I desperately want them back, but how will it work?

Well, given the abuse of how computers and data actually function in the KH universe, I can see some kind of copy-and-paste of the memories in Sora, and then downloading them into a new mechanical body for Xion (remember: TV has taught us that computers can do anything by virtue of being computers).

3. Am I the only one who wants Sora to use the force (I really want my light-sabeer keyblade)

You need midochlorians for that. (*Is immediately force-thrown off a bridge*)

4. Any good reason why Lea is still in his Org. 13 coat?

Actually, I think the fact that Lea has no munny comes into play, doubled with the fact that no one in Hollow Bastion is probably feeling to kind towards helping either him or anyone else in the Organization. Now, I'm sure that since some time has passed since DDD, he might be able to get hooked up with some new duds.

5. Ienzo's lab coat is one size fits all.

That's the power of science.

6. I have a strong feel either Braig or Isa will die.

I can see it happen. With Isa, it's going to depend on how far their going to run with the notion of him being posessed. If Xehanort alone is responsible for his actions, then they'll probably save him. If it turns out he is responsible for his own actions, he might cash in his chips. As for Braig, I can't help but feel there's something else in the cards for him, but I don't know what.

7. I think it would be interesting if Sehanort were the [grand] father of one of our heroes.

I'm gonna have to disagree with this one. The level of coincidence and happenstance is already extraordinarily high in the game. I'm willing to suspend my disbelief for only so much. Besides, I don't think it would necessarily add much: or, if one of our heroes then tried to convert him back to good, the Star Wars readings would go off the charts.

8. Is it possible we will ever see Vanitas again?

I hope not.

Good Lord, I hope not.

9. Will we ever see Sora's mom?

I hope not. I still really like the idea that this is all about children's dreams, and to tie them back home sort of takes away from that ultimate-adventure-you-always-wanted-as-a-kid.

10. There should be part of the game where you can explore Sora's house, and as an Easter Egg you can find a plate of putrescent food on a dining table.

That would actually be really cool.

11. Am I the only one who wants to see Final Fantasy 9 characters in the next game?

The world needs more Quina. Unless there ever happens to be a Muppet world. Then Quina must be kept as far from Kermit as possible.

12. There should be a scene where Kairi saves the day.

Yes, there should.

13. How would you react if the beloved character of yours was of an orientation not of your desire (e.g. Roxas was comfirmed to be straight for you yaoi fangirls)

Given that I have no romantic inclinations towards any of the characters, I don't suppose I would care.

14. What does sea salt ice cream taste like.

Salty? No... Sweet!

15. Don't you think dark and light should be balanced?

No. Honestly, I think introducing the notion of "balance" was a terrible idea. Darkness is introduced into the series as a corrupting force that plays on the negative things on a persons heart, whereas Light is all that is positive. It's like saying that we need murders so that we can also not have murders. As for the inevitable counter-argument of Eraquas, I would argue that zeal is, in fact, more Darkness that slipped under his radar. It's a matter of fear, possibly anger, and those fall int the Darkness categories rather than Light.

16. If we kill of Young Xehanort, will the butterfly effect take place?

Honestly, the moment time travel was introduced, I stopped caring about the how and why.

17. How would you react if we start of the Post-Xehanort saga with an adult (or late teen) Sora?

I think it would be great. I actually want to see Sora as a parent somewhere down the line. And see how HE likes it when his kids don't come home for dinner.
