NEW & OLD HEARTS GATHER

Kingdom of Keys

It has taken a while but Lynn has finally gathered both new & old hearts of light to help her not just battle to protect those important to ones self but to help keep safe the light in every world & heart. All the recruit's have gathered on the new world Lynn call's 'Kingdom of Keys', It was hard for the new recruit's to get here as for some reason this world is almost impossible to not only find but also hard to get too as a strange energy flow is seen around the worlds lanes in between covering the worlds lanes with a strange type of fog & without Lynn's given directions there was almost no way anyone would find it.

But since Lynn gave out the directions to everyone she recruited they found the worlds location easily, the sky on 'Kingdom of Keys' is sorta dark with black clouds floating around making it seem very creepy like. Now everyone has made it onto the world 'Kingdom of Keys', it's big castle like doors are wide open for them to enter, inside there is a massive ballroom with many tables that have tasty different foods & drinks set out for everyone to eat & drink. There are also many chairs to sit on with welcoming decorations all around the place to make the recruits feel more at home.

At the far end of the ballroom there is a stage with a long table with 4 members of the 'Key Council' (Members of the 'Key Council' wear black coats) sitting side by side at the long table all facing the doors entrance with their hoods covering their faces, it seems they are waiting for Lynn & the last 'Key Council' member to arrive at the meeting. (this is where the recruits should talk to others while enjoying the food & drinks or wonder around the castle & it's many rooms until Lynn appears for the meeting. Hello everyone it's me, the narrator, it's good to pick up this book after reading the first one. I can't tell you just how much fun this will be reading your great adventure, I'll also be helping you out here & there giving you hints, just like last time. Now let's start this story :D )

"Not sure." Axuqa replied to Ghost's musings. "But I can tell you that it was worth it. Sometimes it is best to end a problem before it has a chance for you have to defend. The best defense is a good offense and all that."

The Replica Keyblade Master turned to regard Lynn and to hear the assignments.

Cole stopped his trek towards Axuqa when Lynn called for attention. He crossed his arms and his dark eyes narrowed on Lynn as he listened.

"Oh, I'm...I'm sorry." Mathias stammered.

He thought about Radiant Garden and how easily it could have remained a dark world. A lost world.

"Well...I hope I can show you my workshop later, after all this is over."

Victoria smiled. "Yeah, I am looking forward to it." Victoria said with a smile.

James was still tied up thinking how Neena easily trapped him. He thought he would be able to get free by now, but the trap was just too much in his dragon form to handle.

Neena sipped a little of her cider as a new girl sat next to her. The girl then incited a conversation with her, so Neena was forced to acknowledge her existence. The assassin turned to Kumara, and spoke. "Ready doesn't begin to describe how I'm feeling today," Neena thought of the Decolor's mission here. Neena knew the girl wasn't a keyblader, as she had a large sword strapped to her back, so no reason to hate on her. Yet. Neena then grasped her cider and drank a bit more, turning to the stage, ready for the announcement.

"Rather well. I loosened up a little, got a bit of an education, saved the world's a few times... The usual busy work. You look rather healthy, but things seem off. I know its far beyond my reasonable asking, and pry's into your personal life, but I must ask, what's with the stiff giving you the eye?" Ziio's head gestures to Ghost. "Something about him bothers me." Her voice stayed constant in tone, although she was casting another spell, using her fingers to create the signs needed as she talked. The moment she stopped talking, and her hands dropped, the spell was cast. It as a simple dark illusion spell, she used it for her pranks, when she wanted to mess around. Ghost could hear an eerie whisper in his ear and a cold chill ran through his body, his shadow started to slightly grow as well, but then Lynn began to talk, she payed more attention to that if anything.(now torture the poor Ghost with Ghosties, Javelin. You know the things he fears, let it terrorise him!/shot)

Zion rubbed Luna's back."Nothing will happen to him. I promise. You will never lose him again. I promised him I'd kill him myselfif he made you cry, and I meant it. So smile for me Lu. Please?" Zion nuzzled Luna's hair. Xion scooted her chair closer so her shoulder was touching Luna, still playing with the Guardian's hair."It's ok Luna. She tries anything, she gets five Keyblades firing every offensive spell imaginable at her. Lets not even mention the extra one or two Zion has access to in her times of need."

[Congratulations, Crona. You just sealed Nocturne 'Cody' Zero-Four's fate xP]

"Not sure. But I can tell you that it was worth it. Sometimes it is best to end a problem before it has a chance for you have to defend. The best defense is a good offense and all that." Ghost nodded in agreement, realizing that it wasn't entirely his decision to go on the offensive. The master had ordered it after all, and he was just doing what he was told. It wasn't enough to completely forgive the Guardian for breaking his oath, but it was an interesting viewpoint from another wielder.

Feeling the chill of Ziio's little 'prank', Ghost felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end. She glanced around, knowing full well that her senses couldn't be betraying her. An enemy... But.... where? she thought to herself, before checking her shadow. She was accustomed to the darkness taking shelter there, then lashing out to her when it was unexpected. Nothing. Nothing happened, so she turned her attention to her next logical target: Cody. Their gazes met once again, Cody across the room and wondering if she had reached a decision, Ghost now convinced that he was planning a retaliatory strike. Nope... Not gonna happen, Nocturne. I'm gonna strike first, and this time, I promise I won't miss. As Lynn made her announcement, Cody shifted his attention to the girl; the perfect opportunity for Ghost to slip in behind him. She started her hidden approach, going to the table of goodies that was just out of his point of view and grabbing a drink. Checking to see if he was looking out of the corner of her eye, she weaved into the crowd, moving in a large circle around Cody until she was behind him but blocked by several newcomers. She decided to stay there, blending in with the crowd.

"That doesn't help much..."Luna whispered as she tried to force a smile for Zion. "I don't want him to die." She almost succeeded at smiling when Lynn called for attention. She looked up, then around to see if Ghost was anywhere. She saw her at the food table grabbing a drink, and thought nothing of it as she returned her attention to Lynn once again, hugging Zion as she got comfortable.

Cody was focused on the announcement for a while,  then realized that there was still a friggin dragon in the room. He could only look at the beast with a perplexed look, wondering if a sharpie marker and a fake mustache would be an appropriate accessory, but decided it was too much trouble to try. He looked back to Lynn once again, listening for his assignment.

After the small speech had come to a momentary halt, Ziio continued her little spell, finally, the "ghost" haunting Ghost screamed intensely in both of her ears, in such a pitch that you would think a little girl were screaming in horror, as well as a chocking-type feel: like pressure on her neck. Ziio smirked a little, pleased with her work.

Ziio smirked a little, pleased with her work.

Ghost visibly shook as she heard the scream of Ziio's little prank, slightly reeling from the shock of the unexpected. "Luna?" she barely whispered, wondering where the sound came from. She peeked out from the crowd and spotted the girl, Zion and Xion giving her lots of affection and bringing a smile on her face. She reached for her neck, the feeling of pressure sending the Enforcer on edge as she tried to figure out what the hell was happening. Must... be the anxiety. she mentally reasoned, her eyes still dead set on Cody. Listening in to Lynn's announcement, she decided to take care of Cody after the announcement was over.

Ziio soon got inspiration, and set to work for a grand scheme. Using her memory, she called upon the image of Master Xehanort, of the one she faced in battle, making him appear in front of and only visible to Ghost, and in Ghost's perspective, the old master would be strangling him. She chuckled when she managed to remember how Xheanort's voice sounded, and had the 'spirit' of the Master say the following: "I see your ambition is to steal one of my planned new vessels, but need not worry, you'll make a fine one as well."

Meanwhile, outside of Ziio's doing, a pressure, an actual pressure seemed to start overtaking some of the people on the very same side of the building. Far out, from beyond the vision of the natural eye, there was a man in an odd hood, staring almost directly into the eyes of Ziio, without her knowing. Both of his invisible hands clutched his chest at her sight; almost like a squeezing feeling pushed at his chest, almost like a memory, but it faded quickly. After growing tired of not doing anything, the figure muttered "I... I am the Alpha..." before flying off to a world known as Twilight Town. The pressure in the room hardly let up though.

DIVISIONS OF LIGHT

"That presence felt similar, must be that other recruit I sent that letter to" thought Lynn as she then stared at all in the ballroom "Alright LISTEN UP!! CAUSE I WON'T SAY THIS AGAIN!" yelled Lynn into the microphone then clearing her throat a bit before speaking again "Now we have gathered info that these new enemies aren't normal creatures as they seem to be capable of thinking, even strategizing in battles. One of the enemy creatures have been seen has being coloured black, while the others being coloured white. But lucky for us we've gathered some other warriors of light to help fight off these creatures, Those light warriors have already been sent to the those worlds to keep those creatures at bay until you all arrive at your division worlds to finish the job.

That's right, your all the main attack force" said Lynn before taking a bit of a breather "Now..as for the important info we have gathered it's a bit strange but hear me out here. It turns out that this castle is some what special, as it's where the first keyblade was made, along with every other keyblade weapon in existence. Also the strange black & white creatures have only been targeting those worlds with castle's. It seems to me that these creatures are after something from this worlds castle, we must not let them reach this world. There has also been sightings of keyblade wielders on the worlds your about the head too, I would say for you to see if these rumors are true or not & we believe we know who's behind this mess, there are two mysterious figures & one has been seen wearing a white robe alongside another who wears black armour.

These two are our biggest threat as far as we know so keep an eye out for them. Thanks to the 'Key Council' members I have got info on what seems to be a Keyblade weapon of great & eternal powers, a keyblade GOD. From what the 'Key Council' members have told me there were 3 special key weapons that where made here inside this castle & to be the most powerful key weapons that kept everyone in an order of peace & harmony, those wielders had powers like that of gods. But these powerful key weapons were at a cost to wield such power, but we have no info on what the cost is, For those in the first war we all know what that means. That Shera (Shera was the main boss in W.A.W 1) had managed to obtain one of these special key weapons, the Keystaff.

Meaning that Shera had become a keyblade god wielder, We are not sure how to obtain these key weapons & that only 3 were made which meant that there is only 2 left. But getting to the division groups now, I will now read out the division groups. 1st divisions group are Aexis, Zion, Thomas, Xion & your other member should already be waiting for you at your division world's base. Now 2nd divisions group are Axuqa, Four, Luna & Embrex. 3rd divisions group are Ziio, Toca, Ika, Neena & Ghost. 4th divisions group are Mathias, Rahe, Kumara & Victoria. 5th divisions group are James, myself, Lightning & Cole. NOW! as for the commanders for each divisions I firstly must say that the 'Key Council' members were the ones to choose the commanders, not I. So don't take it personally, think of it as a relief you don't need to keep everyone else safe in your division as well as having to burden the pressure of making sure your division wins against the enemy for the worlds sake.

Okay then, here are the commanders, division 1's commander is Xion, division 2's commander is Axuqa, division 3's commander is Neena, division 4's commander is Victoria, & division 5's commander is me, Lynn. Now I will open 5 light portals for you all to use to reach your division worlds, There are division camp base's (HQ base) there waiting for you as you enter these light portals" said Lynn as she then opened up 5 light portals. Lynn then said "Everyone must hurry to there worlds now, My divisions group, I'll meet with you there shortly. I need to check something before I go, wait for me at the divisions base" said Lynn before wlaking behind the red curtain.

Xion blushed. Commander? Wow....least Aexis wasn't leader, right? A mother taking orders from the son. Ha. She nodded in Lynn's direction and Zion kissed Luna's hair. Lightning remained quiet, watching. She felt as if Etro was speaking to her.

"What, my goddess..." she asked quietly.

As Zion kept up her affection for Luna and Xion paid closer attention, Lightning focused on Cody. Etro only whispered his name. The first time since leaving Valhalla the goddess had spoke to her. A

Axuqa noticed Ghost behaving oddly. She focused on saw traces of a spell. She followed the energy back to Ziio. The Replica Master gave Ziio a warning look, but said nothing. She returned her attention to the briefing to hear Division assignments. She nodded to herself when she heard the composition of her team. She knew them and trusted them about as much as she trusted anyone.

She turned and smiled slightly at Xion.

"Congratulations, Xion." Axuqa said. "You are going to make a fine Commander."

Mathias smiled as he heard about his division and turned that smile back to Victoria. He stood up straighter and preformed a salute.

"Reporting for duty, ma'am!" He announced in a jovial tone.

Cole sighed. He had hoped Neena would be on the same team, but at least the number of wielders were down in his squad. They might actually do some good.

He walked over to where James still lay.

"Looks like your devouring of hate talent will be needed soon." He commented calmly.

In a flash, Cole's katana was out of its scabbard and had already sliced the trap James was in, his blade glowing slightly. He flourished his blade, made an act of wiping it clean then resheathing it.

"Shall we meet with our commander?"

Ziio saw Axuqa's look, but ignored it; she was having a little fun with Ghost. Next, she slowly made the some of the surrounding warriors appear to turn around, golden-amber eyes, like that of Xehanort. Ziio's lips curled into a bit of a devilish smile as this was done.

Neena snarled when she heard the news. Her commander? Impossible! She bit back a growl, and stood up, putting on a calm and collected expression. After all, impressions were everything. She called out over the din of the crowd, "Division 3, report for duty over here!" Neena's voice rang out over the hall, and everybody was sure to hear. Neena quickly checked her equipment, sword in it's sheath on her lower back, bow and quiver over her shoulder. Her magic was still fine, so she felt everything would go fine. Except for the wielders in her group.

Embrex had been sitting quietly by herself at a table, listening to the division assignments. When she heard her name called in Division 2, and that Axuqa would be the leader, she grinned slightly. The division was full of vets from the last campaign, so hopefully that would go over well. Embrex got up, and walked over to where Axuqa was standing, and came to attention. "Reporting for duty commander!" Embrex said cheerfully.

Victoria was shocked to find out that she would be leader. There was a secret to her past that would make her not a leader, but maybe this was her chance to change it. She then smiled at Mathias. "Good thing I have you on my team. And it's official, I am putting you are my vice leader. If something happens to me, protect this group for me." Victoria said.

Thomas was still laying down in the room, unable to hear what was just announced.

James looked at Cole. "Thanks, and yeah we better get to meeting the boss." James said to Cole. James was kinda happy and sad that Neena wasn't on his team.

Lightning stood, coming to stand beside Axuqa.

"Is something...off to you?" She asked calmly, looking around.

Xion stood. "Come on babe..." she sighed. Zion whimpered but stoodd awkwardly with Luna, giving her a sweet kiss. "Wish you were with us. Our home is more fun then the hotel~" she teased, hugging Luna. "Be careful, ok? Xion would be crushed if you died. I'd probably go insane." She ruffled Luna's hair. "Now go. Cody needs you a bit more then we need you."

Xion glanced back, then started heading for the portal to the Division 1 headquarters. She frowned a bit, adjusting her midnight blue coat. Leader. Something she tended to do in bed, not elsewhere...much.

She stood before the portal, then stepped through.

Zion pulled from Luna. "Gotta go. Any goodbyes to me or you wanna save them for victory?"

(Why I called Toca Taho I'll never know.  -_-  And was signed out when typing up a post.  )

Ovan, Toca and Rahe stood up and walked to the light portals.  Toca stopped and said:  "Hold on.  Master Ovan, why didn't you sign up for one of the divisions?"  Ovan stopped and said:  "My involvement in the last war was more than enough 'excitement' for me.  Besides, I need to watch over Land of Departure and the wielders in training.  But I also want to find out both of you're 'true strength'." The apperentices look at each other, then Ovan, saying:  "Huh?"  Ovan says:  "The upcoming battles you'll face will be your test.  If guys overcome them and don't have negative changes, I'll deem you both masters."  They smiled to the news, bowed to Ovan and say:  "Understood, master."  Ovan bowed back, saying:  "I wish you both the best of luck.", and walks through a self-made portal to Land of Departure.

Toca:  "This is it then.  I'm a bit depressed we didn't end up in the same division."  Rahe:  "Same here.  Hey Toca, before we go, how about we spar a little?"  Toca:  "Sure, we'll do the usual.  But what about your dark powers?"  Rahe:  "Trust me, I got it under control."  Toca:  "If you say so."  They both walk away from the portals and stood facing each other.  They summoned their keyblades and clashed.  Toca swung high, but Rahe blocked.  Rahe swung low, but Toca jumped high.  They struck at each other 4 time at the same time.  They smiled and laughed at each other.  Toca held his right hand out, saying:  "Nice, as always."  Rahe did the same and said:  "Same for you."  They made a fist shake with each other.  (Whatever you call it.  Like in KH2 with Sora and Hercules.)  Toca and Rahe heard Neenas' call for division 3.  Toca rubbed his head and said to Rahe:  "I better get going.  Sounds like my commander is a strict one.  But there's a bunch of ladies, so it's not too bad."  Rahe:  "Dude, they're all probably older than you.  You wouldn't have a chance."  Toca:  "I didn't mean like that!"  They both laugh around for a bit.  Toca says:  "I'm off.  See ya Rahe!" and walks to his commander.  Rahe says:  "Yeah.  See you later." and walks to his division portal.

Zion pulled from Luna. "Gotta go. Any goodbyes to me or you wanna save them for victory?"

Luna continued to lose herself in Zion's arms, getting a little too comfortable as her assigned division was called out. She silently cheered as the realization that Cody was also assigned to her division. "I'll miss you Zion... Xion" Luna replied before being pulled over by Zion.

"Gotta go. Any goodbyes to me or you wanna save them for victory?" Zion asked.

"I'm sure we'll all see this to the end and be ok. Let's do something special when we all get back!" Her voice trailed off into a whisper. "Besides... I know he'll protect me. You be careful, ok Zion?"

Luna decided to look over to Cody and see his reaction. Her heart skipped a beat as she finally saw Ghost standing right behind him, her arm swinging forward with a weapon in tow...

Ghost had been struggling helplessly to ease the pressure on her neck, her left hand grabbing and doing absolutely nothing to get rid of the feeling. As Ziio's illusion of Xehanort and the students took effect, Ghost slowly reached for her weapon.

"I see your ambition is to steal one of my planned new vessels, but need not worry, you'll make a fine one as well." Xehanort declared.

"I... Won't let you... use a Guardian... for dark purposes." she whispered, figuring out the best way to swing her weapon to both eliminate the old geezer holding her and the surrounding enemies. "Nor... will I... allow you... the chance..." Her free right hand was finally on her weapon, and in an instant lashed out to the dark master...

Cody smirked a little as he realized that he'd be teamed up with Axqua. Perfect. he mentally remarked. He glanced over to Luna to see if she got the message that they were assigned together and immediately sensed something was wrong. Her face had an expression of surprise and horror; her mouth agape but no words were heard. The bangs of her hair were slowly caressing her creamy white forehead, almost floating in front of her as he noticed her pupils slowly dilating. He focused on her beautiful blue eyes and saw something quickly approaching his reflection. His left hand twitched, and instinctively whirled around behind him as his keyblade materialized. He turned his body to follow the flailing arm, but noticed something wrong with the speed of his reaction. Everything was happening silently and in slow motion, and it didn't take long for the Guardian to realize that Battle Serenity had kicked in. But... why now? he thought to himself. He got his answer as his body continued to turn around, and saw the cutting edge of Ghost's keyblade as it came into his peripheral view. It was only now that he felt the cold aura of the ruthless weapon getting closer to his neck. Ghost's face was now completely in his view, showing no sign of remorse or regret as he felt the blade cleanly slicing through soft armor region around his neck.

No.....

The nearly silent parting wind near the edge of the blade finally betrayed the weapon as it cleared the soft armor and and made contact with its intended target. Cody felt the cold steel burying itself, only to become warm just moments later as his vision blurred. His body became limp, and the Guardian fell to the side as the momentum of the swing followed through.

"No!!!" Luna's scream was just a distant echo to him as his vision faded to black and felt something warm making its way across his neck to the ground...

"No!" Ziio thinks, seeing Four go down like that. "That shouldn't have happened! I thought Ghost was somewhere in the back, how did she... Why did she attack? Why didn't she yell out? It makes no sense! How did this happen?!" She thinks, running over to Four quickly, she casted her strongest healing spell "Grey Curehega!" she called out, targeting Four, with the spell, hoping to minimize the damage to near none. She rushed over to his side, or as close as she could get, essentially, and called off the clones, evaporating into mist, the pressure on the neck, as well as all other affects Ghost was being targeted with vanished almost instantly upon this. "This... Wasn't suppose to... I... I may have... Just killed Four..." Ziio thinks, kneeling down near him, she cast's Grey Curehega again and again, hoping that she could save him, tears ran from her eyes and onto the floor as this happened, the floor was stained in her tears. "Ray... I... I wish..."

Meanwhile, in Twilight Town, The Alpha, Ghost-Shell stood atop the Clocktower, waiting for the team to arrive, when suddenly, he feels a sharp, cold pain on his neck, like the steel of a Keyblade striking down on him. He fell, flying from the clocktower, he nearly landed on the ground and went splat, but something saved it from an untimely doom, rushing in at a moment's notice, it's dark blue and purple coat blurred as the thing snatched him from the air, then placed him on the clock tower's balcony area(Where everyone sits) and disappears instantly. He wakes up a while later, the pain still sharp in his neck, he sits up and looks at the beautiful sunset, and from no-where in particular, a memory.

A old, 1700's style town pans out from the view from the bell tower church, the bells ringing, Ziio, a man who is unidentifiable, and a white-haired woman with a blaster strapped to her back sit. The sound of the memory is full of fuzz, but the audio of the people in this scene is clear, save for the unidentifiable man. They sit there, eating sandwiches, the white-haired woman complements the unknown's cooking, and so dose Ziio. They watch as an odd-looking sun sets in the background during the fall season, giving a beautiful effect. Another unidentifiable man appears behind the group and tells them it's time to go, his voice is much clearer than the first unknown's, but still unidentifiable, and as the group stands, preparing to leave, the white-haired woman slips and falls, the unidentifiable man is seen jumping off after her, managing to fly somehow, he tries to catch her, but is unsuccessful, and she hits the ground hard, then shatters into light fragments as the unidentifiable man lands on the ground. He reaches out to the fragments and tries to pull them together to no avail; the woman is dead. You can hear the agonizing scream of a man in terrible heartache, this is clearer than the voices of Ziio and the woman's. the scene ends, and The Alpha, under his mask, sheds many tears.

Aexis walks into his portal of Light, thinking of the battles ahead. He folds his arms as he continues to walk. He is also wondering who the threat is today. He then thinks mentally with the following words. "Hmm, this is quite strange, isn't it?" Thought Aexis, mentally thinking to himself in his head.

Hearing the cries, Zion spun around, wings out. Luna's scream flung her airborne, where she dove towards Cody "CODY!" She cried out, skidding beside bim. She knelt and flared her wings, not paying attention to Ziio.

"Dawn's Light." She said softly. Her wings flowed and wide-angled rays of light enveloped Cody, attempting to work with Ziio's Grey Curehega in an attempt to entirely remove the damage.

Lightning flew into action, appearing before Ghost. Without pause she bashed Ghost's hand holding her weapon away, thn kicked her knee to bring her down. The Champion of Etro worked fast and silently, until her sword went gun mode and she pointed at the kneeling Ghost, looking pretty impassive.

"Why."

Axuqa was about to answer Lightning with "which off thing were you referring to" when Ghost made her move. The Replica Master's face turned cold and hard as she saw Cody go down. She snapped her fingers and a small hoard of Creeper Nobodies appeared and wrapped themselves around Ghost to hold her down.

"You better hope they can save Four." She said in any icy tone to Ghost.

She left the threat part hanging. Axuqa reached out and buffed Ziio's and Zion's healing attempts. She took in a deep breath and turned her gaze on Embrex.

"Good to have you, Embrex."

Cole glanced at the ruckus in the middle of the room.

"Infighting?" He thought. "Already?"

He then ignored it and went for Lynn's location.

Mathias raised an eyebrow upon hearing of his new position.

"I'm...I'm honored." He said. "I'll do my best to live up to the responsibility."

Victoria then had a straight look on her face. "You'd better. Cause if I die and you don't, I will haunt you forever." Victoria said. She then began to walk to the portal. "My team, line up!" Victoria said in a leader tone.

Luna's scream wasn't fast enough to warn Cody, and the consequences unfolded right before her eyes. She bolted over to Cody, no longer caring if Ghost would do something about it. Her hands glowed in a green aura as they hovered above the gaping wound over his neck. Others jumped in immediately to help with healing magic of their own, and thanks to their quick intervention Cody miraculously let out a cough. He struggled to breath as he brought his hand to the now healing wound. Luna's slightly trembling hand was now directly on the wound, Cody's hand on top of hers as he winced at the quickly disappearing pain. She felt his warm heartbeat pulsating under her palm and breathed a sigh of relief as it became apparent that he was gonna be ok.

Ghost saw her keyblade impacting the illusion of Xehanort, the old man stumbling back as he reeled from the swift attack. But in that moment when she felt the vibrations on her keyblade, she realized something was off. As Ziio's illusion finally wore off, the ghostly image was replaced with the view if a now fatally injured Cody, her weapon embedded in one side of his neck as he went limp. "What the-"

Lightning managed to catch the Enforcer off-guard, surprising her. A moment later, she was on her knees with a rifle pointed at her. "Why?" the pink haired girl asked. Ghost slowly looked up to her until their eyes locked. "I... I saw Xehanort. Told me he a plan to use Nocturne as a vessel of darkness. So I went for the first strike to try and put down the old man before he could do anything. He was holding me... choking me... But..." She glanced over to Cody. "When I hit him, he disappeared and revealed him. Why?" The illusion was still fresh in her head as she started connecting the dots. "Maybe... Xehanort is already inside him." She looked back to Lightning. "If this is true... let him go. It'll be for the best."

Lightning looked disgusted.

"For the best? Are you really so heartless?" Her finger tightened on the trigger. "Unlike the old vessels, Cody has friends. Sora was saved because his friends risked their lives to save him unconditionally. If Xehanort was in Cody, then it would already be apparent." She then pistolwhipped Ghost down.

"Lives are precious. Once lost, it takes tremendous strength to return those lost. No one is replaceable or expendable. You have no right to play god over like that."

She turned her back, leaving Ghost there. "Cody died once. You really think your meager strength can keep him dead for long?" Then the Champion of Etro paused. "And you are a fool. Why would Xehanort blow his plan by telling one of Cody's own people he was to be used for darkness? Are you really that gullible?" Lightning spat. "You should go back to basic training, amaetuer."

Zion slapped Cody. "WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT DYING. WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT MAKING LUNA CRY? DO I HAVE TO KILL YOU NOW FOR THIS?" Zion was cying herself. "Don't you dare do that again."

"He was never supposed to have any friends." Ghost calmly remarked. "And the fact that he does is quite disturbing." She remembered the secretive nature of their titles while noticing Luna cradling Cody in her arms, gently nuzzling him on the forehead and whispering to him that he's going to be ok. She tried standing back up, only to be beaten back down.

"Lives are precious. Once lost, it takes tremendous strength to return those lost. No one is replaceable or expendable. You have no right to play god over like that."

"Lives may be precious, but his is not." Ghost started, getting back up. "I can't say much, but know that his real name is a number. He, along with Luna and certain others have always been considered expendable." As the others started making their way to their division and assigned portals, Ghost realized she was running out of time. "The Princess' lives are precious, theirs are not."

"Cody died once. You really think your meager strength can keep him dead for long? And you are a fool. Why would Xehanort blow his plan by telling one of Cody's own people he was to be used for darkness? Are you really that gullible? You should go back to basic training, amaetuer."

Ghost's voice trailed off. "He... died once before?" She shook her head, refocusing on the immediate exchange. "I'm an Enforcer, not one of Cody's or Luna's kind. People like me are a hard counter to people like them. I don't work along side him. In fact, I won't hesitate to strike him down again if someone told me to." But Lightning had a point: it would be stupid for an enemy to announce their plan out loud, especially to someone who was specialized in taking out Cody in particular. "I only reacted to what I saw." She heard Neena calling her division to gather. "It looks like I'm out of time. Regardless what you or the others may think, remember this. They're expendable. If one gets struck down, there is already another one of their kind ready and waiting to take their place. " She started her walk towards Neena.

"Wake up, Cody..."

Cody opened his eyes, surprised to see Axqua, Ziio and Luna gathered around him. He tried to speak, but the only sound to come out of his mouth was another wet cough. He felt a sharp pain on the side of his neck, but also the soothing touch of Luna's soft hand as she continued to heal him. Slowly taking a deep breath, he relaxed a bit as he felt the combined healing magic working on reversing the damages. Feeling safe for the first time in a long while, Cody sank into Luna's cradling arms only to have what tiny shard of sanctuary taken away as Zion slapped him. "WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT DYING. WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT MAKING LUNA CRY? DO I HAVE TO KILL YOU NOW FOR THIS? Don't you dare do that again."

"Ow..." was Cody first coherent word to escape his mouth. His ears were ringing as Zion lectured him. How is this my fault?!?! Blame that damn Guardian Enforcer standing somewhere near me, if she isn't gone already!!! And- wait... what?! How would you killing me make anything different or better?!?! What is wrong wi- Ow... Cody struggled to speak clearly to the distressed girl. "I... Didn't know... until it was too late." His breathing a little easier now, Cody gently peeled Luna's hand away from him as he got back up. Casting a healing magic of his own, he carefully rubbed the side of his neck. "Looks like that'll be another scar to the collection." He gathered his thoughts, remembering what happened before the blackout. "We're... with Axqua right?" he asked aloud.

"Y-yes, Cody." Luna replied, still shakened by the experience.

"Alright then. We should probably get going."

"B-but"

"It's ok. I'll be fine. Honest. For now, we got an assignment to do. If it'll make you feel better, I'll let you work on this after the mission."

Luna hesitantly nodded as she turned to face Axqua. "Just like old times, huh Axqua?" she heard Cody say. "Meet Luna, another member of the Corps. Sorry for the drama. It was... unexpected. Awaiting orders, Commander."

Lightning has to pour every micron of self control into not pulling the trigger and blasting the Enforcer away.

"You're a bigger fool then I thought. Last I checked, Kairi didn't think CODY was expendable. And if I remember, the Princess' matter more then you. So I'll side with the feelings of a Heart of Light rather then one who can't even tell their being tricked by smoke and mirrors. Action without feeling is merely violence, nothing more. You shouldn't be called Enforcers. You should be called Assassins."

Lightning lowered her gunblade and began to head for her division.

Zion slapped him. "You should be ready when some bitch has been glaring at you for the entire duration of the speech! You never let your guard down unless you're in a fortress with loved ones! Do I make mself clear you cookie cutter idiot soldier?"
