I have heard more than one person say that completing Pokémon X and Y versions is extremely easy, but why this is true is not a surprise. In the games, one can receive a Torchic with a Blazekinite stone simply through connecting to the internet, a free Lucario, and a second starter (which also has a stone that allows their final evolution to Mega-Evolve). Adding to this, there is also the Experience Share item, which now works in a far different and more efficient way from previously, and fairly easy access to Pokémon that are as strong as Absol, Snorlax, Zangoose and Furfrou.
I have chosen not to take the easy way out by not using Torchic or the additional starter (though I own both) as members of my main team, and I do not intend to use the Lucario when I receive it. The components that I have mentioned are what have made the games too easy, and I hope that the next title in the current generation is made to be more difficult.
