Pokémon XY have been throwing back to back references to the other regions, especially towards Gen III. But there is this one hiker that says something along the lines of "You should see my region, it has all these...never mind, you'll see in due time". Also, either him or another hiker says "It's not Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh nor Unova!" and gives you a weird souvenir that looks like a tiki idol. It may look like the leaked Volcanion/Hoopa/Diancie legendary trio but if that is the case, then does that mean they are from another region? Or are they from a small island we may get in the future, possibly Hawaii? It wont be filled with 8 gym leaders and such, but it might have some exploration and some new Pokémon. What are your thoughts? After all, GameFreak loves making us hyped.

If they did have Hawaii, they would likely also wanna include a casino-town like Las Vegas, many Hawaiians(I know this because my sister is marring a Hawaii-born man)consider Vegas the 8th island.

 

But on a more serious note, that would be cool.

I am not trying to be rude, but why would a Hawaii-inspired island be included in the current generation? The current generation is based on France; not the West Coast of America. Including it in the previous generation would have made slightly more sense.

Because the souvenir given to you resembles a Tiki, and Volcanion is a Fire/Water type. It might have been created the island, after all, its name says "Volcano". 

 

Island + Tiki makes me believe Hawaii, but of course it can be any other island. 

Also the hiker says the region is a very far a way place, and France is pretty far away from Hawaii.

 

It doesn't need to be near France to be part of the game, the player can travel in an airplane you know.

(Old Sea Map, etc) Disappointed because I'd think "region" as a big deal, not just simple islands to explore for an event legend and random trainers here and there, like Sevii Islands. (Even then at least there's was a good reason to bother with it due to the Ruby/Sapphire stone)

The DLC doesn't necessarily have to be paid DLC. They might already have some of the data in the code for the game already, and just need to release a patch to update the game. They might not have had enough time to fully complete the game, so rushed it to release and are waiting to release a patch to give the final levels of the game. Hopefully that is the case, cos paid DLC would suck.

Actually the data is encrypted, so no can do, or we'd have base stats of all+the 3D models of the last 3 legends+egg moves; the list goes on.

Ahh, I understand. So "event Pokemon" is a euphemism for free DLC... Calm down guys and just enjoy what we have with pokemon so far I don't know about you guys but I'VE BEEN IN LOVE WITH POKEMON X AND Y SINCE THE BEGINNING!

 

Finally the first 3D Main Pokemon Adventure I've been waiting a long time for this and now I have it! Honestly I don't see GF releasing DLC for this game, the only thing we will get is the event pokemon and that's it. Or maybe there will be a event that will enable us to go to a small city with some new pokemon in it.

 

You guys also have to remember that GF can now patch this game in anyway they want, so adding new stuff to the game isn't out of the question. Maybe they only released 69 of the new pokemon because they didn't want fans to get bored with the all of the new pokemon from the start, and are saving the other batch of new pokemon for later to keep the gen fresh. GF is trying new things with this game, and they aren't afraid to try new things.

 

I kind of agree that this game felt like it was rushed, probably Nintendo telling GF to get a game out ASAP.

 

Now here is something I found out while replaying Pokemon X and Y, in one of those castles in the very beginning a trainer tells you that the Kalos region fought with another region back in the day and many pokemon lost there lives. I'm thinking that there is a region rather close but also kind of far away in terms of traveling.

Just remember they said nothing involving a Pokemon, unless they turn out as Nintendo (in general) with "herp a derp we won't drop the price on the WiiU anytime soon." Also that's referring to what happened in the past with the 1000 year old guy. Speaking of that, it would be nice to have a DLC on his story; like playing as him in the past, unless the next game is a prequel 0_o but doubt it.

a prequel could be awesome! then maybe your trainer and your rival trainer could both get the Mega Evolutions and could compete with each other, that could be cool!
