I like the story but, i just can't find myself playing it very often. i find the amount of new pokemon overwhelming and i just don't like playing it that much...I don't know why

I like the first two but the sequel I can't get into

I'm thinking when he meant "new Pokémon" he meant the 150+ Pokémon introduced, Gen VI didn't even have 80. 

 

I love Pokémon BW and BW2, they were great games and the story motivated me. The gameplay was alright, and the Pokémon were great imo.

Oh, right. That would make sense, then. Of course, it was meant to be a reboot of sorts to the series, which is why they added that many. Gen VI focused more on improving gameplay and making the 3D environment.

The second one is much better with lots of the old Pokemon around and much bigger post game content.

If you are into fair amount of gameplay and a really great story, go for Black and White.

If you are into a great amount of gameplay and a good story, go for Black 2 and White 2.

Yeah Pokemon B&W and B&W2 had good stories. WShich always motivates me to complete the game. I don't have Pokemon X&Y yet but from the looks of it it looks  like it has an interesting story as well.

Then give it one more chance.Besides,you can at least farm some good Pokemon to transfer to X&Y in December that you might not find in Kalos.

 

Try to transfer your ReshiramZekrom....you might need them for online battles

there are lots of really good Pokemon both in terms of design and usage like:Reshiram,Zekrom,Chandelure,Zoroark,Ferrothorn,Victini,Excadrill,The genie trio,Conkeldurr...and many others

 

BW2 has a huge amount of post-game content more than any other Pokemon game besides HGSS

Every Generation had their flaws in designs.

 

Gen I had Koffing, Magnemite, Voltorb, etc.

Gen II had a lot of simple designs and Meganium.

Gen III had Pokémon like Nosepass.

Gen IV had Bidoof, Purugly, etc.

Gen V had Emboar, Vanilluxe, Garbordar, etc.

Gen VI had 

Binacle, Barbarcle, Klefki, etc.

 

They all had amazing looking Pokémon and un appealing looking Pokémon.

 

Imo, I love them all, whether they look funny or not.

True story.

 

Despite of the shitty designs, literally, it had good ones. Tbh I don't see much favorites in gen 6 besides Yveltal. If anything, most are mega evolution.

Every gen has it's shares of goofy designs so don't tell me Gen 1 or Gen 4 is perfect(Btw,some Gen 5 Pokemon were designed by the American branch liek Vanillish)

 

Gen 1 had:Voltorb,Electrode,Grimer,Muk.....etc

 

Gen 4:LickiLicky and some others

 

The definition of effort should be put into the games content not into one design.

 

And even then,the designs has a good amount of effort and at least most of them had a rhyme or reason for it unlike Muk the shit Pokemon and Electrode the upside down Pokeball....and even with those the games are still good and that's what matters at the end of the day

Thank God, I thought I was the only one! Gen V left me cold. I didn't so much dislike the premise, just wasn't able to enjoy the experience for a number of reasons. Thankfully, Gen VI is a major step up. 

Just wanted to comment that the reason Gen V had so many new Pokemon was because BW was essentially a reboot / parallel to RBY, what with having ~150 Pokemon that all draw parallels to older Pokemon (e.g. Tauros and Bouffalant, Vanillite and Koffing, Litwick and Gastly, Woobat and Zubat, Patrat and Rattata, Voltorb and Foongus, Genesect and Mewtwo, etc.), only having the newly introduced Pokemon catchable during the main storyline, renaming routes from 1 and on again, etc.

 

I really think you should give it another chance. It really is the best of the main series of Pokemon I have played (not that I've played XY yet, but that's for several reasons). Maybe start with Black / White 1 first, though?

I didn't play it until a couple months before XY came out so I could try to get caught up in time for XY because I was so caught up in HGSS. They're just so amazing and definitely some of the best. I liked the fact that White 2(the one I got) had a pretty big post-game. There were so many legendaries to catch and other Pokemon to get through battles and also the world tournament
